    Lobster ramen
    Smitha A.

First of all, know it's inside a mall on the third floor. The escalator was broken but go up there anyway. It's worth it. I will start by saying this was 5 stars for the service alone. The woman and the man who helped were so lovely and so excited that I found this place. It is 100% gluten free and like a dream. I got the omakase set for $39 and added the veggie tempura for $12 more. You can also choose to do a sake flight. I didn't. I ate a whole plate of veggie tempura. I ate yellowtail hamachi. I ate ramen. I will say the ramen was a little disappointing but not enough to take away a star. The lobster was fresh but a little bland. The taste was overpowered by the fried onions/garlic. But they had real tempura dipping sauce. I loved the whole experience and I will be back.

This place is truly a gem. It's hands down the best Ramen I've ever had in the entire world! Not only that the service is amazing. They treat you so kindly and take such great care of you. You can tell they truly love what they do! They take the time to listen to you and serve you with honor and love! Everything off the menu is pristine and tastes amazing! I highly recommend if you're in Los Angeles no matter where you are that you take a trip to this place and eat here and order from them every day if you can, it is truly an honor to eat here! I don't have a lot of pictures from eating the restaurant but every time I'm in LA I always go to the restaurant this time I didn't have time to, but I ordered from them and they gave some free gifts. The second order they are so kind!

This spot is in some Gluten free, Vegan map. So kudos for those who are on this diet. Americanized fusion sushi You wont find Japanese eating here...nor asians. Everyone dining the night I went were not. Empty on a friday night. Also the food takes a very long time and we had to ask them to put a rush on it bc we waited at least half hr for the sashimi and I really didnt understand why when there were only 3 parties and our food went in as the 2nd party.... No photos on menu so ordered 3 plates of food to find they were tiny and bill at about a bill, i left hungry. Haha. I wouldnt come again since I like more traditional japanese food.

Parking is validated for 2 hours, and your ticket can get 2 validations max. We spent time and got something at Daiso as well which provided another hour of parking. The service was so nice here. We came here early and they were the perfect balance of checking in on us but not being overly attached. The happy hour did change which isn't reflected on the website - up to 5pm now. The food was mediocre though. It seems like it's catered towards vegan, gluten free cuisine which shouldn't be a problem with sushi. Crispy rice sampler: standard but the top could have used more flavor and the rice a little less in size. Citrus salmon roll: my wife enjoyed this a lot but I thought it was just okay. Yellowtail collar: I liked this the most. Good portion size with shio Koji on top giving it flavor. I'd get this again if I came back, thought it might have been slightly overcooked. They did end with some cookies and tea which was a nice touch. All the desserts are vegan so I wonder if the cookies are too.

I had an amazing meal here with a friend last night! I was seamlessly able to add myself to the waitlist using Yelp and when we arrived, there was a table waiting for us! The service was so friendly and I love how they asked multiple times if we had food allergies, so it seems like something they take very seriously! When telling them I was vegan, they indicated that there was a large selection of vegan items, which is actually the reason we came to check it out! They also checked on us multiple times throughout, ensuring we were satisfied and refilling our water. I had been to their location in Manhattan Beach years ago, as well as Shojin, prior to the latter closing. The space felt very similar but they put their own touch on it! The decor was very elegant and felt authentically Japanese. I personally loved the sake collection on the wall. The seats were very comfortable and despite being in a busy shopping center, I felt transported to a different space. The food itself was very delicious! My friend and I shared the buffalo cauliflower and I got the vegan crab hand roll. I love how it was so flavorful and perfectly spiced. My favorite was the buffalo cauliflower with the cooling creamy mayo that came with it! I've never had crab, but it did taste realistic to the non vegan counterpart. The sushi looked so delicious too, I'm a bit regretful I didn't order it! They were so sweet in giving us some complimentary tea and cookies to end the meal! They have some prefix menus that looked enticing and I am appreciative that there's a vegan option for each one. It definitely gives me a reason to return! Parking is super easy in the mall's lot and when we arrived on a Saturday night, there were ample spots available. They validate for two hours which not only gives you enough time to enjoy your meal, but also explore some of the other stores in the mall!

We visited during Dine LA and were very happy with our dining experience. We selected the dinner menu that came with a sake pairing with each course. It was a great decision! The menu even had vegan options so that worked out perfectly for me. Everything from the starters to the dessert was freshly prepared and tasted amazing!

A very nice sit down restaurant with great service. I came in with a friend and we ordered off the $10 anniversary menu. We got the fried tofu, sushi tacos and fried calamari. All really tasty. The server was very attentive, often refilling our water. At the end we received a cup of fragrant chamomile tea which left a nice impression on us. Would come back and try different plates. Great place for a casual but nice meal.

I went spontaneously after looking at reviews and was not disappointed. The service was impeccable. Super kind workers. The food came out quick on a weekend with about 3 tables in attendance. It was super clean and aesthetic for a little place in the mall.

We visited this cute little place on the last day of Dine LA, and took advantage of a great dinner deal. $25 that included an appetizer, a small bite and a roll. For the appetizers we got the chilled cucumber and the lotus root. Both were light but flavorful. For small bite they offered spicy tuna and spicy salmon crispy rice, and we tried both. They were the perfect size, not too big, but enough to give you a taste. For the rolls, we got the double dragon roll and the citrus salmon roll. The rolls were really good, and very filling. And the fish was fresh too. I love that they didn't try to skimp because it was a special discounted menu. Overall, food was 4.5/5 and service was 5/5. The owner/manager was so friendly and welcoming and our server was very sweet too.

I went here with my friend who has celiac and we had the best time. It's rare to find gluten free places that include fried foods so she was so happy that she could eat whatever she wanted on the menu! I got the double dragon roll and it was phenomenal. It had good flavor, the toro was delicious, and the crunch was spectacular. The roll tasted fresh and healthy (even if it wasn't lol). The service was top tier, our waitress was so kind and friendly. The ambience was lovely, although the windows just point to the inside of a strip mall that isn't so aesthetic haha. The actual restaurant is very cute. We also got hot tea at the end and left satisfied:)

Rice is a delicious addition to the Little Tokyo food scene and I'm SO excited to come back and bring some friends :D This eatery rests on the third floor of the Little Tokyo Galleria. It's not very big so it's a good option for intimate groups or for a date night. The restaurant is really pretty with modest decor, and the food is just outstanding. Before I get to the food, here are other things that made for a great dining experience here: Service -- the waiters here are SO NICE! And they're very attentive. I really appreciate that my glass of water was never less than half full. VALIDATED PARKING! in DTLA. Need I say more?! I ordered several items and everything was just amazing. My absolute favorite, though, was the: Dynamite lobster roll -- 10/10. I love when rolls have some sort of warmth and the crunchy lobster atop this roll was creamy and rich. They didn't even skimp out on the portion, either, so that was much appreciated! It came with a good amount of saffron on top, which added to the presentation and taste :) Rising roll -- 10/10. Another crowd-pleaser. The spicy tuna had a kick of heat, which is what I really like. Plus, I love how fresh the tuna tasted and that it came with a generous amount of green onions.

The best gf vegan cheesecake ever

If I could give more than 5 stars, I would! This restaurant is truly a dream come true for anyone who needs a dedicated gluten-free space and still wants to enjoy the artistry of sushi. Not only is everything completely safe for celiac dining, but they also offer a wonderful range of vegan options that are just as creative, fresh, and satisfying as the rest of the menu. From the moment we walked in, we felt cared for. Our server, Ayano, was warm, attentive, and kind--she anticipated what we needed before we even asked and made us feel like honored guests. She explained the dishes beautifully and made sure we felt both safe and excited about our meal. And then there's Hiro, the owner, whose presence makes this place truly special. He is always so welcoming and genuine, greeting guests with the kind of hospitality that makes you feel like family. You can tell how much heart he has poured into creating not just a restaurant, but a community space where people with dietary needs can eat without fear and with full joy. The food itself? Exceptional. Every bite is delicate, flavorful, and beautifully plated--sushi that balances tradition with innovation, all in a setting that feels calm and inviting. Knowing it's 100% gluten free takes the experience from great to unforgettable. The vegan cheesecake was INCREDIBLE

It was such an unforgettable and refreshing experience. Chef Anita has such a vision. Every detail was well thought of, from the outdoor patio dining surrounded by olive bushes to the indoor wooden and oak touches with Fairouz playing overhead. What's even better is EVERY single dish is labelled clearly for allergy diners! AHHHH as a nut allergy girly this had me geekin. All the celiac diners can enjoy their dining experience without any triggering fears as well. I went with their famous Lebanese egg pie and my friend got the grilled salmon plate. We shared the ful mudammas, my fave dish. The gluten-free pita bread def changed my brain wiring. I don't enjoy gluten-free food, and I was drooling. The pita was pillow soft, like how do you do that? Magic, I tell you. The egg pie was SO special. Pillow soft as well and super filling. The flavors of every dish were legendary. We couldn't stop talking about the colors, the plating, the top tier service. Everything about Levant deserves to be raved about. Come one come all. Def coming to Levant next time I'm in Echo Park.

We arrived midday on a Sunday and we're promptly sat, having been given the option for patio or indoor. We chose the patio, and between the clematis, lantana, and olive trees it is a very lovely setting in which to enjoy a meal. We were promptly brought a bottle of cold water and glasses, and our beverage orders were taken. I had a honey lavender latte with oat milk, and my husband had Lebanese coffee (no milk no sugar.) my latte was fragrant, the perfect temperature, and just the right amount of sweet. The Lebanese coffee was smooth, floral without being perfume, and excellent. We started with the falafel and the batata harra. Both absolutely excellent. For our entrees we selected the shakshuka and the Lebanese egg pie. Both were also excellent. Everything was well cooked, well presented, flavorful without being overwhelmed by any component. We took home a baklava tart, because we simply did not have the ability to eat more at the table. It was tender, moist, not too sweet, the pistachio flavor coming through as nutty and grassy, seriously so good! And it's worth noting, this whole restaurant is gluten free. I would not have realised if I had not known ahead of time. The texture of the pita with the shakshuka was exactly what one would expect, as was the bread of the egg pie. The pastry of the tart was flakey and delicious. And having said all of that, the service is what puts it above and beyond. Everyone was warm and pleasant, and seemed to genuinely appreciate the compliments. Staff seemed like they liked their jobs, which for me is always a good sign.

While I can only officially claim about 12% Italian heritage, I'm 100% down for Italian food, especially homemade pasta, any day of the week. I'm spending this week in Little Tokyo for a conference, and while Japanese food is also absolutely my jam, when Maccheroni Republic slid into my Yelp feed, I knew that I had to hoof it over there immediately after we broke for the day. I saw the front of the building, and my heart sank because it looked closed, but then I noted the sign that indicated that the entrance is on the right side of the building through the courtyard. Thank goodness! I strutted through the courtyard, and observed about 15 people waiting for tables. Unbothered, I went up to the host stand and chatted with the stylish maitre'd - Dino - who indicated that he could have a table for me in 7-10 minutes. I proceeded to wait and I watched how he deftly sat the other waiting parties in order without difficulty or notes. To the untrained eye, it might have looked a little chaotic, but Dino absolutely knew what he was doing. About 15 minutes later, Dino sat me at a corner deuce in the inside dining room where I had a nice view of everything. Angel efficiently took my order and did a very good job of overseeing my table as well as about nine others. The dining room is so cute and homey, and the patio is a welcome respite from the bustle and business of downtown. Since I was "da sola" or on my own, I just tried the shrimp cakes and I ordered the Rigatoni all Norma which is one of of my go to pasta dishes since I don't eat much meat. Incidentally, this dish is named after Norma, the famous 19th-century opera composed by Catanese native Vincenzo Bellini. According to legend, a famous Sicilian playwright, Nino Martoglio, tried the pasta and was so overwhelmed by its perfection that he exclaimed, "Chista è 'na vera Norma!" ("This is a true Norma!"), comparing the culinary masterpiece to the musical one. So says Wikipedia anyway. The shrimp cakes were delivered quickly by a sweet food runner who kindly checked on me periodically during my dinner. The four shrimp cakes were accompanied by sauteed onions which paired really nicely with the crispy cakes that were brightened with a spritz from the fresh lemon wedge. She also brought a basket with four slices of Italian bread which I enjoyed with the EVOO and Balsamic that were on the table. My Watermelon Ciao was also so good. It was sweetly tart and such a nice treat on a Monday! Not long after I polished off the shrimp cakes, the rigatoni was delivered and dusted with a generous layer of parmigiana. The little fresh mozzarella pearls glistened on the top of the pasta and slowly melted and oozed into the sauce as I stirred it up. Yum! The rigatoni were al dente and delicious, and they were perfectly sauced. Of course, the eggplant was perfectly cooked as well, I only wish there had been a few more pieces of it - although by the time I ate the last noodle, I was so full! Alas, I had no room for dessert, but I intend to bring some of my conference colleagues back for a meal before the end of the week because it was THAT GOOD. I also loved that this place is NOT pretentious at all. There were all sorts of folks enjoying their food here from medical professionals in scrubs to college kids in shorts and t-shirts, and I was also very casually attired, but I was treated well and welcomed with graciousness and delicious food! Mille grazie Maccheroni Republic, Dino, Angel and everyone at this wonderfully lowkey yet fabulous trattoria.

County, so I have to drive 43 minutes from Irvine to eat here. Sausage, Egg & Cheese Sandwich: This is the one I think tastes the best. The chicken sausage is shaped into a patty, and with the mayo, the jammy egg, and the brioche bun, it's genuinely delicious. Calling it an elevated McMuffin isn't an exaggeration. Their brioche bun is excellent. Even after sitting for 20 minutes and cooling down, it stays soft, fragrant, and slightly sweet. Double Cheeseburger with Bacon: Tasty, but the $20 price tag for a single burger shocks me. The best part is the satisfaction of biting into the double patties loaded with caramelized onions, special mayo, and runny egg yolk. The extra $3.50 bacon is good too--neither overly salty nor too tough. Egg Salad Sandwich: The organic egg salad mixed with arugula, chives, and honey mustard tastes good, though not particularly mind‑blowing. Slut: Honestly, the toast itself is just okay, but dipping it into the egg‑potato mixture is a creative way to eat it. A glass jar holds a sous‑vide organic soft‑boiled egg blended with potato purée, topped with a sprinkle of sea salt and chives. Before eating, it's best to stir the egg and potato thoroughly so the salt doesn't stay concentrated on top. Cinnamon Toast Cold Brew & Vanilla Cream Cold Brew: Slightly bitter, slightly acidic, and pretty enjoyable. The ingredients differ, but they actually taste quite similar. A warning for the lactose‑intolerant: I'm not sure whether it's the food or the drinks, but about three hours after finishing the meal, I always end up with stomach pain and an urgent bathroom trip.

For what feels like a little, unsuspecting chicken shop....their food blew me away. This was fried perfection, and I could only wish I had a location out here in Phoenix, Arizona, because I want more badly!! The service was incredibly fast, friendly, and even gracious which I feel like I don't see very much. I look forward to my next visit to LA, because I will be getting Lucky Bird again.

Lucky Bird is a popular fried chicken spot in Los Angeles' Grand Central Market, it's known for its citrus-brined chicken with a light, crispy crust, served in sandwiches, tenders, and buckets. Their food and drink menu was modest. They have a counter seat for dine-in customers. I got the Honey Sammie sandwich ($16) . And it was thick, tasty and warm. I liked it. Staff were affable and attentive. Prices are a bit pricey. Overall, it's a decent place to get a good chicken sandwich.
