Great deal on wed! Love their fries and chicken! Havnt tried other food yet but i will eventually!

I was really in the mood for some good hot wings, but my experience here was a disappointment. When I walked in, I stood at the counter for about five minutes before anyone acknowledged me. It's not an extremely long time, but you expect to be greeted and noticed when you're standing right in front of the register. My order then took about twenty minutes. I'm not upset about the wait itself, but it seemed to be because there was only one person handling everything--taking orders, cooking, and cleaning. She was clearly overwhelmed. The most frustrating part was that my order ended up being wrong. I genuinely believe it happened because the same person was trying to juggle in‑person customers and phone orders all at once. Unfortunately, the overall experience took the joy out of what should've been a simple hot‑wings craving. The food was good, but I don't think I'll be back. I want to be very clear that I do not blame the poor girl who was handling all of the request and all of the work. The mac and cheese was okay, pretty average in taste and could've used more seasoning in my opinion. The fries were fresh and well seasoned with a really nice crunch on the outside while staying soft inside. The "Hot" spice on the tenders tasted more like a low mild or no spice at all. The food is amazing we love getting the Richie fries! I fs have to recommend getting hot and extra sauce!!! The service was nice very chill and the service was fast, food came out nice and warm like it was super fresh unlike other places that feel like the food was reheated. The quality is super worth the price when it comes to the food, the drinks on the other hand are expensive but not worth the price. The ambience is cute and small and it's super clean. I like their chicken sandwich combo here. Sandwich itself is very good - good flavor, medium spice is just right (for me) and good size piece of chicken. Their fries are seasoned and great on their own, but even better with their house sauce. We came in during evening and wasn't crowded. Decent amount of seating, but tables could use a good wipe down. Service is good, but what makes it hard for me to come here is that it takes a long time to get your order - at least 15 minutes. Highly recommend ordering ahead of time either online or call in - would save you a lot of time. This is more of a 3.5 because the chicken sandwich is pretty good! In fact, quite a few people came in right after us to order. The medium level spice has a really good kick to it without overpowering the flavor of the chicken, and the slaw balances the sandwich well. The fries are seasoned and go well with the sauce. I haven't tried the other items yet, but the food is good/solid. The place looks fine with bright paintings of cool cartoon chickens, etc. on the walls, but the floor isn't as nice and seemed sticky. The tables didn't seem very clean either. Like others have stated, it does take time to get your food. The guy at the counter did say 14 minutes, which was more like 20-25. But the food does come out hot, which I like. The guy also brought it out to us, which was appreciated. Maybe they just need to get more people or something...? I've been once and it was ok. I've gone back 3 different times and they were closed even though it said open. Each time around 1:00 p.m.

No clue why they are even in business if they don't wanna be opened on times they state they're open. I call to make an order and they say 30-45 mins and I'm like damn yall killing the chicken? I pulled into this parking lot for KFC but wasn't fully committed to that lunch choice. I saw the words "Hot Chicken" across the strip mall lot so walked that way to fulfill my curiosity. Upon arriving, I spotted a competing fast chicken location primarily featuring sandwiches and fries on the main menu but also some chicken wings on an auxiliary menu and a wing special in the window. Plus, dollar wings for Wing Wednesday but alas, nothing for this Tuesday afternoon. Difficult to pass up wings even though my wife says not to eat them frequently. She wasn't with me this moment. I ordered a dozen wings which came with fries, carrots and a drink. I also could pick flavors so chose mild buffalo and honey barbecue. This was way too much food but when in Rome eat wings and fries apparently. I hear chicken wings aren't healthy but beef isn't either and you can't eat salad every meal or most. Dove into the food and it was good. Wings were the highlight. Fries were too seasoned for my taste but still enjoyed them. After ripping through the wings, finishing the carrots and nibbling on the fries, I succumbed to my appetite and was full. I threw out quite a bit of fries and ate too many wings. A regret is that only two wings were drumsticks and the other 10 were wings if that makes sense. There's a counter here and four small tables. There are decals of chickens and chicken food items on the wall. The guy working there was super friendly. Because there was a translucent barricade, I couldn't tell if anyone else was back there. All in all, not a bad meal. I felt like I needed a bath or shower after all that food and stickiness. I went thrift a few handfuls of napkins which were conveniently on the table in a napkin holder. When they say HOT they mean HOT. Jesus Christ is all I gotta say. Since the hot chicken trend has hit, I've been to many chicken sandwich/tender places and have ordered their highest, hottest heat level item there and this easily takes the cake for the spiciest thing that's ever destroyed me (that I've ordered at a restaurant). We got the Richie's Blasted Fries since The Reaper wasn't available. It's crinkle cut fries with some chicken and ketchup and mayo dressing. It doesn't sound that hot. Now here was my mistake. I'm not sure if it's cuz they wanted to compensate us since they didn't have the Reaper by making this extremely spicy. Immediately seared and numbed my mouth. Went through 2 whole huge hydroflasks with ice and still couldn't breathe or talk properly. I tapped out after a maybe 5-6 bites and can feel my stomach lurch uncomfortably on the way home. Had to ask for a to go box. This was the first time that something annihilated me this badly. I thought the dipping sauce would have cooled things down, nope ! Made it much much worse. The only reason I'm giving this place 4 stars instead of 5 is that I've had insanely hot chicken before but I could still taste the chicken and the extra sides (bun, fries, mac n cheese). The spice level was so high it completely numbed tasting literally everything else. I was exploring the neighborhood by foot with two of my boys and it was nearing lunch time. My middle son wanted to stop at KFC on La Puente Rd. for a chicken sandwich. As we were waking into the KFC, I spotted a sign in the distance for hot chicken in the same plaza. I told him he could have his KFC but we were going to stop by the other place for my lunch! So glad we mosied on over! I got the #3 Rich Special combo, it comes with two strips in French rolls with fries, two containers of sauce, and a drink. It's kinda pricey at $14, but there was more than enough food for my son and I to share. We got mild and the chicken was tender full of flavor. The slaw and the sauce that came with it was super tasty too. The seasoned fries were crisp and tasted even better after dipping them in the sauce. Because I found out they use peanut oil to fry, my oldest son had to pass on this deliciousness due to his peanut allergy and had to pick up a burger from the burger place a couple doors down. The restaurant has limited seating (4 tables x 2 seats each + a 2 top outside) so you may want to plan to have your food to go if it's busy. My husband & I tried this place tonight for dinner for the first time; they were having their "$2 tenders on Tuesday" deal. We got 3 No Heat & 3 Mild Heat tenders, 1 mac & cheese, 3 Richie's sauces & 2 Texas toasts. Sage, the girl who served us & took our order was nice; she even gave us extra slices of toast for free. We had to wait a while till we finally got our food, which was fine cuz that means it was cooked hot & fresh. But when we got home to eat, I was EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED!!! The No Heat tenders were bland & had absolutely NO SALT OR SEASONING; the Mild tenders only had some spices on the outside but again, absolutely NO SALT OR SEASONING! Both tenders were moist, tender & not overcooked but SEVERELY LACKED IN FLAVOR & TASTE! The mac & cheese was creamy & the noodles were al dente & not mushy or overcooked but again, it LACKED SEASONING, FLAVOR & TASTE! The sauce kinda reminds me of Raising Canes sauce, so it was good but the toast was mostly blonde & not fully toasted & had gotten too soft from condensation in the container. We ended up spending $21.13 for this meal & sad to say, it was MEDIOCRE AT BEST!!! We WILL NOT be going back, not until they start seasoning their food with some salt! That's all it would take for this food to be better & for me to give them 4 Stars. So unfortunately, bcuz of this situation, I'm only giving them 2 Stars. And I think for now, we'll stick to going to Dave's Hot Chicken in West Covina or Habibi's Hot Chicken in Glendora, cuz their chicken tenders are bigger & taste 1000 times better!!
