Fantastic! Here I am on a Sunday morning, tire pressure indicator goes off but adding air does not help and I am worried that no place will be open. Not only are these guys open for long hours on Sunday, but they determined the nature of the problem (low tire pressure in SPARE tire, something that would never have occurred to me) in no time at all. I came here driving on my spare because I'd found a piece of metal in my tire and didn't want to risk it going out on the freeway. Kevin was very personable and helped me out. Turns out the tire was okay so he put it back, tucked away the spare, and checked my tire pressure--all within 15 minutes and for $5! I give the service 5 stars--I was quickly attended to, politely served, and very reasonably charged. I would give it four stars because they tightened the lug nuts in a circle instead of a star, but that's the only complaint I had and hopefully it doesn't reflect on the quality of the rest of their services. The location is nothing fancy, but indicates an honest business that cares more about getting the job well-done rather than over-charging in order to get fancy couches. My rim was bent and took about 30 minutes to remove the tire, check for leaks, remove the tire from the rim, bang rim straight, check again for leaks and balance. After 30 minutes of work my total bill came to $10.00. Service was quick and price seems more than fair. I would definitely recommend this place to friends. read more

A few months ago, I took my car in for an oil change and was told I had a nail in my tire. The fools at Toyota tried to tell me the nail could not be extracted and wanted to charge me and arm and a leg for a new tire. Didn't want to buy ONE new tire, so I looked around for a used one to match the tread on my others. After reading positive reviews on Yelp, I took my car to Rich's, prepared to buy a used tire. AVOID. Initial installation of 4 tires resulted in shakiness of steering wheel at speeds 50+ MPH. I took my car back and watched as my front wheels were "rebalanced". I was told they were just a little off balance. Also had Alejandro correct my recorded mileage, which was 10,000 miles off. STILL shaky steering on the freeway. A week later, finally just went to Kevin's Auto Repair and paid $30 to have them check it out and re-balance the tires. This time was told the tires were WAY out of alignment. I noticed that my car had a flat tire this morning, and I looked for tire repair shops close to my house. I'm glad that I went to Rich's Tires, because the service was lightning fast. I had used fix-a-flat on my tire, and they cleaned out the residue and patched the tire. I was in and out in about 10 minutes, and the technicians were all very pleasant and helpful. Nicest guys ever but more than that they did not try to up sell me. I had 5 tiny holes in my tire and they only tried to sell me 1 not 2 like most places. I did end buying 2 because I thought it was best. They quoted me a price and stated "plus tax". I expected the price to be " plus tax, balancing and disposal fee" but it they calculated the other fees is the price. GREAT SURPRISE! Their tire price was very reasonable in the first place too. It was Xmas eve morning so I was even more pleased to find them open because I was on a road trip from SF to Palm Springs and without them my trip would have been canceled! Took less than 10 minutes to fix my flat tire that was nailed. The way they find a leaking spot is that they ask you to turn the leaking wheel outside and slowly back up while pouring water on it. They're open on weekends which worked great for me. Price is just 15 bucks, and very friendly guys! read more

Had the sidewall on my run flat blow out on my way to work Sunday morning and found Rich's Tires is open every day from 7AM to 7PM. Everywhere else would have closed or been almost closing by the time I got off 4:30PM Sunday afternoon. When I rolled into the shop they checked out my tires, found the only matching sized tire (not runflat) in their stock, and charged a very fair price. They inspected my other tires and found a bubble that formed on my front tire and warned me about it. Great people, very friendly, straight forward advice, and expert service. Walked out to my car in downtown PA and discovered a nail in one of the tires. Took it off, drove over to Rich's in my wife's car. The tire guys were throwing football in the parking lot when I arrived. I pulled up in front of the garage, handed them the tire. They fixed it in about 60 seconds, and also filled up my spare tire with air. $10. Couldn't ask for anything more. The only snag was that I had to go across the street to get cash from an ATM since the minimum debit card charge was $15. That took longer than getting the tire fixed. read more

Came here early in the morning since I had to drop the car off to have four of the tires changed on my 2009 Audi TT. They had a great price on the tires, and provider a loaner car for the day, and were very good on communicating when it would be done as well. However, two issues with their service: First, right as I left and headed home, I noticed an immense amount of shaking coming from my wheels and after having them serviced by another person, they informed me that they had in fact put back the weights on my tires randomly, which caused an immense amount of shaking at all speeds. Second, the alignment was completely off. They had offered me a 70 dollar service to take the car for me and have it aligned for me after the tires were changed. However, when I got the car back and drove it home, I noticed for a quite sometime that the wheel was always slightly to the right as well needing a lot of steering input one way for the car to turn left or right. I just had it serviced today, and the mechanic informed me that the back left tire as well as the front right were completely off. Overall, going to a wheel works or anywhere else might be a bit pricier, but it's completely worth it compared to this place, unless you're only planning to buy tires. If that's the case, Rich's is good place, but if you're getting a tire servicing in its entirety, skip this place and just go somewhere else. It'll save you in the long run. read more

We found that our tire has nail on it within 30m before they close at 7p on Sun night. Mon is holiday so we were kind of desperate. We called in advance to see if they are willing to take care our tire situation. They say if we bring the car in by 7p they will do it. We did and they patched our tire in 10m. My car gave me a warning when I got in. One of my front tires showed 0 psi. It was after 5:30 and I still had to pick up my child from daycare. Terrible traffic. We got to Rich's after 6:30. No wait. Tire taken off immediately, leak found and followed by a quick fix for $15. I was heading when my repair guy (his name is Salvador sp?) said "wait. Something else seems wrong." This place is wonderful. I drove out of town for a day trip and my tire pressure light came on. I added air and it seemed ok, but then started loosing pressure on the way home. I was afraid of getting stranded on the freeway, so pulled off and searched yelp for a close tire place open this late on a Sunday. I totally expected to be limping to Walmart, but saw Rich's. They were super nice and helped me get back on the road quickly for all of $30. And while I was there a dad pulled in with a dinner reservation for a formal his daughter was going to. Drove, picked two new tires and left in about 30 minutes for my 400hp Subie. Tire stock was slim. My only choice was the off brand MileStar. Stock was Yokohamas. I had the new tires put in front. I used Yelp! and the reviews, and decided to try it out. I spoke to David two days prior. PRO: * Quick. I get out of my car, and they roll the floor jacks over to raise my car. * Inexpensive compared to others in the immediate area to replace 2 tires. * No frills - they don't try to upsell you since they don't offer brake jobs, etc. * Good reputation for used tires. Though I wasn't buying used tires, the next customer after me came all the way from the eastern part of San Jose to buy them there. * They don't drive your car. They don't need your car keys. They tell you where to park, and they bring the jacks over. IMPROVEMENTS NEEDED: * Open on time. David says 7 AM. Shop sign says 7 AM. I showed up at 7:07 AM and waited. I went to the donut shop and came back at 7:22 AM and waited. I left and called them at 7:45 AM. They are open. I drive back to Rich's. * Use torque wrenches to tighten wheel nuts, otherwise you may get vibrations when stopping. Mine should be at 88 ft lbs. When I try to loosen them when I got home, they were tighter than 150 ft lbs, which was the limit of my torque wrench! * Determine the proper tire pressure for the vehicle. Mine should be 38 PSI. They put in 36 PSI. WOULD I GO BACK? Yes, because they are convenient, price is right, and I have the equipment to correct any shortcomings. read more

I needed a wheel balance on a Sunday at 6pm and after. Everywhere else was closed on a Sunday, or they close at 6pm. I called in to see if they had time to to work on my car, they said to drive right in. They balanced, removed a few nails from all 4 of my tires for $80; $50 to balance, and $30 to remove several nails, not very affordable. Tire Merchant balances 4 tires for 32 dollars. They were speedy with everything. My main problem is the fact they used a compressed air wrench to torque down the lug nuts on my car. I asked if they had a torque wrench so I can torque it down to 89lb myself, they said they didn't. For a tire shop to not have a torque wrench, that's problematic. I re-torqued the lug nuts back to 89lb, but I used a fairly large breaker bar to loosen the lug nuts. Never use a compressed air wrench to torque down lug nuts, it'll strip and break the lug nuts. read more

He checked the rims to make sure it wasn't damaged from me driving a bit with the flat before I was able to change it. I've had two nails in my tire in the past few months. Went to Rich's both times (thank you, Yelp!). Their service was fast, efficient, thorough, friendly, and cheap--$15 for a patch, and they do the soapy-water test to make sure the tire isn't still leaking. A sidenote--when I went, there was a girl in line behind me who had driven on her mostly-flat tire and hadn't put on the spare she had in her trunk. Instead of using their power tools to jack up the car and unscrew the wheel bolts, they showed her how to do everything manually ("If this happens again when you're on the freeway, then you can do it yourself!") read more

Initial review of the tire repair was good. They were fast, found the leak and plugged it. (Not really a long-term repair, but I was going to get the tires replaced within a 1000 miles anyways). My main complaint is about how much they tightened the lug nuts. They're supposed to be 66-98 ft-lbs on my car (and I'd torqued them to this level on all wheels the last time I did a wheel rotation). When I was getting new tires, the shop noticed that the wheel that Rich's had worked on was torqued to 150-160 ft-lbs. One of the studs broke loose when removing the lug nut and had to be replaced. Perhaps they were well-intentioned, but you'd think tire guys would pay attention to how much they tighten your lug nuts. read more

After a nice gal in a burnt orange Corvette kindly told me while we were driving on 101 South that I had a flat tire, I drove to Mountain View and was finally directed to this great place. It was a Sunday afternoon, I had people to see, p[laces to be, and the very helpful staff here took my tire off, patched it, accepted my $10 credit card payment, and I was off again on the road of life. It only took 10 minutes and they were so efficient and a life saver since the first 2 gas stations I went to just told me that their shops were closed on Sundays.
