I've always went to the rickshaws in Vallejo, but I'm so happy we have a Pinole location now. Their food is always so delicious, from the bbq ribs, to the sweet and sour/orange/lemon chicken, to the fried rice, etc... It's never under cooked or over cooked, literally the food is perfect everytime. I definitely prefer to go to Rickshaw's over Panda Express any day, their prices are cheaper and I obviously prefer the food at Rickshaw's over Panda. They have a decent selection of food, not many vegetarian options though. I believe I paid about $5.50 for a large box of a chow mein and an entrée. Again, I wasn't wowed by the food, but I was hungry and this did its job by filling me up. There are a few chairs inside if you'd like to sit, but really the place doesn't offer much of an "atmosphere". 3/5 for this grab and go. read more

Definitely a fan. I have been going to Rickshaw for decades. Now it is being ran by the owner's niece who is always pleasant and such a hard worker. Most importantly, the food is delicious. The food is in warming trays, but it is not the typical greasy, low budget and low quality dollar Chinese food. Most of the food is heavily sauced, but typical of American style Chinese food. My favorites are the Peking spareribs, dry fried ribs and Kung Pao chicken. It is on par with sit down restaurants, but priced much better. There is very limited seating that is mostly occupied by people waiting for family size orders to be prepared. My family and I have dinner here about once a week and will continue to patronize this restaurant. My only complaints are that near closing you have to take what they have because they will not make any of the items that are usually in the warming tray from scratch unless you order a large order, they only accept cash and the lines can get long. The long lines have more to do with demand as opposed to slow service or anything that is the fault of the restaurant. read more

I showed up 30 minutes before close only to discover it was cash only. I let the girl know that I'd get some money and be right back. Before leaving, she explained to me that they weren't making any more food for the evening and that is have to pick from what they had. I walked to Lucky really fast to grab a $20, and returned to find them boxing up the last of the chow mein, orange chicken, and broccoli beef. I was pissed. Who doesn't take cash nowadays? Today I tried this place and it was just ok. I didn't read any reviews prior to coming. I just did it the old fashioned way; saw a place and decided to try it. The only accept cash so make sure you bring cash. Their selection is very limited so don't think you will have many options. I ordered the 3 item combo which included: half rice/chow mein, string bean chicken and black bean spare ribs. The string bean chicken tasted off. I didn't care for the flavor much and after two bites I couldn't take another. The black bean spare ribs were pretty tasty but nothing to write home about. What I really enjoyed was the rice and chow mein which were the stars of the meal. If I come back it will be fore rice and chow mein. read more

Quick and fresh Chinese food ready to go! They have a limited options for entrees but they sure give you plenty. This place is cash only and right next to Lucky's Supermarket. I ordered one entree and comes with either chow mein or rice for about $5.90. The food here is pretty tasty for the most part. I've been eating at this place for 10+ years, and if you're craving some authentic chinese food, this is your answer. You can never go wrong with the 3 item combo for $6.50+tax. Avoid. i saw this place when exiting Big 5 sporting goods. when I walked in they stare at you then when you order they give you a vibe that you didn't order enough. Disappointed. I used to go here when I was younger and decided to take some food to go since I was next door at Big 5. 1. They only take cash, not a big deal since I had cash on hand but if I didn't it would have been an inconvenience to have to find an ATM. 2. They didn't have the bbq pork ready, it was around 11am and they said to come back at 12:30. 3. And more importantly, the reason why I probably won't be back. The garlic chicken: to start with the least favorite thing about this, the garlic i can tell was probably 3-4 weeks at the very least. But the main reason why I'm giving a 2 rating, is because the chicken itself was old, you can tell that it had a mix of new and old chicken wings, possibly from the previous ginger chicken serving/pot a few days ago. The chicken wasn't white anymore and was already turning a greyish color, which means it was in the there for a couple or more days and the sauce itself was bitter. Smh. read more

Ordered the small tray of chicken fried rice and it was pretty good. Everyone at the party really liked it and you get a lot of food.
