Ricky's Taco Truck is amazing!!! Rick is absolutely amazing himself but his taco's are the best. They are so flavorful and he doesn't skimp out on the meat. We have tried several other trucks and nothing compares to these ones. He is quick to get you food and it is always piping hot! His seating is great and provides a fun feel to it. I know where I'm going when I'm craving Mexican food! If you want authentic street tacos, stop here! Friends have told me to try this place and I don't know why I waited so long. The gentleman in the food truck is so nice. Everything is cooked to order and there is some covered seating outside. The street tacos are generously filled with meat, onions and cilantro and I added the red and green sauce to mine. They add great flavor and heat although I didn't find either sauce spicy but I'm not sensitive to spice. I also ordered the Ricky's burrito. It's almost 2lbs!!! Again generously filled and when I got home this thing was still piping hot. Simple menu, fair prices and generous portions. The best street tacos and burritos I've had in Newberg area. Every Friday he sells fish tacos so I will be back to try those! 10 out of 10! read more

I love Ricky's. Authentic tacos done well. I get their tortas every time. They make their own chorizo and it's pretty good. You can get extra meat for a buck fifty extra on the totra. But what knocks it out of the park for me is the red sauce. It's smokey and rustic. Unlike any salsa you'll find locally. My wife favors their green sauce. We're fans. read more

I have been a customer since this taco truck opened, when it was down the street from the high school. Their new location is home-y and very accommodating to relax and eat some delicious food with friends. Rosie is the owner and is so thoughtful, she remembered me from my high school days and I received the same thoughtful and caring service that I got back then. The food is amazing, the $5 for 3 tacos on Tuesday is a steal - the asada is TOO DIE FOR. The Ricky's Burrito is a giant delicacy. Someone mentioned that the hours aren't reliable, but as with any owner owned business they have the right to take the day off or close early, it just adds to the authenticity of the experience! read more

Wow are we spoiled in Newberg or what? The Oregonian recently reviewed all the taco places on 99W and Ricky's Taco Truck came in at number 5. Their pork tacos are to die for! Ricky's parks on first Fridays on First Street and we have not been able to walk by without getting a couple of tacos. The toppings are your simple onion, cilantro fare. EDITED: I USED to think this was the best taco truck in town (after trying out several).......but their hours are NOT reliable, AND the last couple of times I went there the quality just wasn't as good. They still have the best corn tortillas, and you can tell they're hand-made. It's pretty upsetting when you're craving tacos, and you call/stop by during what is supposed to be their normal hours (WELL within the time frame), and they're not there. This happened recently, and I ended up finding a new place that is TOTALLY reliable AND the tacos ended up being better. Not only that, but this other place has a TON of hot sauces to experiment with. Also - the last time I got tacos from Ricky, there weren't any carnitas left, so I got chicken instead....and it was chunky and strange.....not shredded and tender. This place isn't BAD, by any means - but they just lost a frequent customer, unfortunately. I left my review of the place I'm NOW going to on their yelp. I won't name it on here - because I think that's just going too far. Now if only I found a place that made tacos with chicharone con carne (the crispy ones), I'd be SO happy. Either way - Ricky's needs to step it up a little to make it in this town. read more

I eat a lot of burritos and just had one of the best burritos I've ever eaten here at this truck. It was gigantic too. My burrito was smoky and sweet and packed! Fantastic Tortas, superb tacos, huge delicious burritos - everything is so authentic and full of flavor, not watered down Tex Mex like most of the other establishments. Salsas loaded with depth - the smokey red salsa and refined green tomatillo salsas are excellent! The extra squeeze of lime makes it over the top! They are at the Newberg Farmer's market Wednesdays 1:30-6 PM - ( late May- end of September) otherwise at their regular location.
