Been going here every Sunday for 9+ years. It must be under new management because what used to be great - the service - is terrible now. Aside from not following proper COVID distancing protocols, it's a logistical mess. You can easily end up waiting for 30 minutes while they take orders from people who just walk in. Ordering over the phone for pickup is just as poorly managed as there is no clearly designated pickup spot. There are better options just blocks away. Don't waste your weekend mornings. I got my wife half of the bagel w/CC that I got, and she loved it and wanted to go the place; the rest is history, we love their bagels, croissants and cream cheese varieties. This bagel shop knows how to make Babel's. They are fresh, crisp on the outside and dense on the inside just the way they are supposed to be. I'm giving this three stars, the reason is their cream cheese. The cream cheese has no taste, I think it is generic. They should invest in Philadelphia brand cream cheese. Philadelphia brand cream cheese has the best recipe. For a business that sells bagels and cream cheese they should invest in Philadelphia brand cream cheese, it will make their product 100% better. read more

One of the guys in my office always brings a bag of bagels in and I usually help myself to one. They are always warm and fresh; they are even delicious plain. They are your typical jersey style bagel, crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside, they're always a nice size and usually stay fresh until the next day. Reasonably priced and there's always a wide selection of bagels. The only downfall is they are usually so busy in the morning it's tough to park and gets a bit crowded inside. They are also a cash only joint, so make sure you don't come bearing plastic. read more

Great place for a sandwich. The food and sandwiches are tasty. They will make anything you want. My current favorite is a Taylor Ham, Egg, Cheese and Hash Browns on a Bagel with a little Ketchup. Sounds Weird? Don't knock it till you try it. They will make what ever you want or you a craving. The prices are very cheap and the portion is just right. You can't go wrong if you get one of their signature sandwiches. Now, on to the bad part. There is no parking lot just 3 spots in front of the store. This place is located store is in one of the busiest streets in town, but I will fight for a parking spot just to get a sandwich from here. read more

i Lived in NYC most of my life so I had the chance to try several bagel shops in all of NYC including Nj and other parts of The USA , and I have to say this bagel shop is great, and has high standards. The staff are polite and attentive ,from the beautiful ladies that take your order to the quiet but cheerful guys in the back making the fresh bagels on site . they have a large options of bagels you can try from blueberry ,egg , oat , wheat , everything and all your basic bagels including rolls & hero bread . They use THUMANN'S DELI cuts so you know the cold cuts are fresh. read more

As a delivery driver this place is very hit or miss, but mainly miss, for me. The order will be ready on time, but if there's more then 3 ppl inside it's virtually impossible to get in, get the order, and get out. They have no system in place and I've walked out and declined orders many times because of it. 5 employees will literally ALL have their backs turned to customers for 10+ minutes at a time. I've seen multiple people walk out because of this. I've also had customers ask me, upon delivery, why it took so long and pointed out they have noticed drivers show up, mark themselves as arrived, and then 5 to 10 minutes later decline the delivery. It really should NOT be this hard to fix. I literally turn down 90% of delivery requests I get from this place now. Chances are, if your order is late, it was not the fault of the drivers. read more

I stumbled across this place one morning when I was staaarving and a bit early to work. I got myself an everything bagel with ham & egg which was quite satisfactory! I came back a couple of days later and got an everything bagel with butter for lunch. Another good experience. I came back today and got an everything bagel (do we see a pattern here?) with scallion cream cheese for lunch. DELICIOUS! Clearly I love their everything bagels. Whether morning or afternoon they were always nice, fresh and REAL everything bagels -- not those crummy ones with little sprinkles of nonsense on them. They're scallion cream cheese (homemade I think) is so so SO good. I can't get enough. I'll probably be back tomorrow. The staff is really nice, btw. On the down side, it's cash only, but there's an ATM right inside. I also wish there were more chip options. I know I'm being annoyingly picky. Just go get your bagel on! read more

I've been going to this place for 5+ years & they were always so quick & the quality was good. They either have new management or just team members because I haven't seen the original servers in months. The past 3x I've been there, it hasn't been a good experience. First time they forgot something in my order, after I waited 25 mins for an egg sandwich. Second, I placed an order ahead of time & gave them 30 mins for 3 breakfast sandwiches, when I showed up I still had to wait 25 mins because they were "so busy". I basically waited an hour for 3 breakfast sandwiches. Then today I called ahead again & when I go to pick it up, I had to wait 10 mins after giving them a half hour to make my order & they got it completely wrong. The girl who took my order didn't get any of it right & she even read it back to me correctly on the phone. It's disappointing because I loved getting breakfast from here but it's always a headache & who wants that in the morning? Also their sandwiches aren't as good. read more

Just stopped there right now to get food. The same lady that last time had her nose exposed this time had no mask on at all talking over the the food being made. Last time I asked for her to cover her nose. I gave them the benefit of the doubt. This time there was no excuses. I walked right out. At a time like this and in the food business, masks should be worn at all times. I am not buying food that's being contaminated. Have some consideration. She should be let go for not following protocol not once, but twice. read more

I've been going here for breakfast since I could remember. It's an everyday ritual. Their bagels are a different breed, I've never had a complaint. Their breakfast sandwiches are profound, and they have an excellent selection at a great price. You can call ahead for orders too. The staff is incredibly friendly, and have almost all been there for years. They know you after a while, and it's second nature for you to go back. Their wraps and cheesesteaks are awesome too! This place is great! I went in on a Saturday morning and there was a long line but it moves pretty quickly. As soon as you walk in it smells great and has a good vibe. I loved seeing the big bagel display and you can even watch them take fresh baked bagels out of the oven! I had a toasted onion bagel with cream cheese and my sister had a plain bagel with bacon egg and cheese - they make everything out in the open right in front of you. With two drinks it came out to $10 so it's pretty reasonably priced and everything was delicious! We were in and out in less than 10 mins. This was the poorest excuse for a Taylor ham and cheese sandwich I've ever seen in my life. For some ungodly reason the place was packed so my fiancé had to wait for a long time. You would think, packed bagel place on a Sunday=good bagels, but you'd be wrong!!! My sandwich was COLD the cheese was not even melted and there were about 2 very small overcooked/burnt pieces of Taylor ham. Half of the bagel had nothing on it. We tried calling to get a refund or another sandwich but they did not answer after calling many times. They will never get our business again. read more

This used to be my favorite bagel place around. I would always defend it to be the best bagels! Though the great service and bagel quality has remained the same, the new owners must have began using different bacon. I have ordered bacon egg and cheese sandwiches time and time again only to be disappointed. It is always extremely fatty and almost looks raw. I've had to remove it from my sandwich because it really grossed me out. After years of loyalty I don't think I can return unless they figure out the bacon issue. read more

As a NJ Taylor Ham, Egg & Cheese on a roll fanatic, I always had a problem with a breakfast sandwich on a bagel. Too much bread, and invariably it falls apart three bites in. The solution? The Flagels (flat bagels). Had a TH,E & C on a pumpernickel flagel from Hot Bagel & Deli in Lyndhurst . . . . slammin! So tasty, lots of taylor ham cooked just right (just a little crispy) and the friendly staff asked my preference on the salt & pepper & ketchup (to which the proper response is "just a touch"). Held together nicely for the duration. Great place, decent price and hardly any wait on a Friday morning. read more
