Great food, for sure. You won't be disappointed. My wife and I just had the tri-tip dip sandwich and a meatball sandwich. Both were very tasty. The tri-tip dip sandwich has their pepper spread on it and my wife absolutely loved it. I had the meatball and it was great. I did add my own fresh basil and a slice of provolone at home and I thought it kicked it up even more. Both sandwiches are the kind of food that is hard to screw up, but difficult to make great. We feel these were on the "great" side. Delicious, for sure! The only complaint that I possibly have is that they close very early. We've tried to eat here a couple times, but they aren't quite open for dinner hours. Their website says they close at 6 pm, but they close at 4. Yelp has it correct. Just found this local gem and loved it! They have sandwiches, pizza, salads. I ordered ceviche which was delish. Hubby got a sandwich. We ordered some fresh roasted turkey (amazing!) to take home and made sandwiches with later. Digging this place. read more

First time trying this place. Asked for the breakfast burrito to be well done and it was perfect. The bacon was crispy and flavorful. Many times the bacon gets lost in the other ingredients. Definitely coming back for the burrito and looking forward to trying other items. They are extremely friendly and sorry it's taken me so long to try the place. read more

I may be biased to give an opinion, I love this guy Nick. He's been there since high school as friends. But I never knew he had cooking under his sleeves. I've been there and had his pastrami sandwich and ordered a cold cut special with peppers spread. It was a lot of food but tasted lean and full of flavor. I need some seafood and need to try some Pizza. Wishing nothing but success for keeping his family name and carrying a legacy. Big ups Jr.! Came for the pizza: stayed for the poke. The pizza is very good: a little different than I expected. The pizza bread is like a mix between focaccia & biscuit: just a vehicle for the toppings. It is crisp and a little bready (as it should), but well executed. The exciting part is the rest of the pizza. The deli is what you'd expect: with both sausage & pepperoni, it is a little on the salty side. The grotto is an eye opener; kinda reminds me of the tomato pie from Philly. The grotto has a really nice onion layer and herbs to strengthen its taste: very enjoyable. But, it wasn't what I was looking for. A very good pizza: not my goto. I will still return for the subs & that poke was very good. Returned to try Pastrami: it is definitely home made and delicious. Drives the review up to 4 stars. read more

First of all it's South Bay family owned and operated which is so cool to see. The guys who started it put quality into everything that they do and took the extra steps to make this Place special. The family recipes are all so good and I've still got a lot I need to try. The grotto pizza is unreal. Super crispy crust with cheese baked under the homemade tomato sauce and onions. The chicken soup was super hearty and great as well. We will be back for more soon that is for sure! read more

Meh- Sandwiches are just okay nothing special . Pizza was awful- something is not right with the dough texture- like a crumbly bread verses chewy pizza texture. Kids chicken fingers were burnt to a black dark crisp to where they we're inedible. Not too sure want to try this again read more

EPIC! That was the word I chose to describe the Hot Pastrami sandwich I had just eaten to the owner. The bread was perfect, the made-on-site pastrami was muaahh perfection!! Im rather picky when it comes to a deli and this one checks all the boxes. An inspired menu including recipes from mom and obviously very high quality standards Riera's is my new favorite deli in the South Bay. There were so many other killer things on the menu I cant wait to go back, like a pastrami pizza with mustard as the sauce!?!? Riera's Place is all I hoped for and more.... Beautiful photos of the Riera family and Millie Riera's Restaurant let you know that this is not just another place to eat. Anyone who grew up here in the 70's knows of the Riera's, and the importance of providing wonderful food. Upon arrival, I was impressed with the memories, and also how clean this deli is. As I looked at the menu, I realized I couldn't order everything that sounded so good to me so I made note, that this will not be my first visit here. When the food arrived at our little outdoor table, we thoroughly enjoyed every single bite of our sandwiches (Hot Pastrami Subs). Everything about this was perfect from the warm, toasted roll to the perfect pastrami within. I feel bad for giving this place a 3* because the owner is very nice but i didn't care too much for the sandwiches. I had the Cubano and the meat ratio was very low. I also didn't like the seedy mustard they used but maybe that's the traditional sauce? Also had the Redondo special and the sandwich was a bit soggy. Chicken noodle soup was plain. Overall it might be worth another try and the poke looked really fresh, but for now I'll say the place is pretty average. read more

I had researched sandwich shops in this area (South Bay) looking for a highly rated deli that had pastrami sandwiches. Have had really good sandwiches at The Hat and Pasadena Sandwich in the San Gabriel Valley and of course, Langers in LA. I thought, judging by reviews, this would be the place. The cold pastrami, however, was really disappointing. The pastrami was quite tough - either it needed to be sliced thinner or against the grain or both. For the price, not worth it - it was not an especially generously sized sandwich. One other thing, please put it in a bag - it was handed over the counter wrapped in paper with loose napkins on top. read more

I ordered takeout via phone from Riera's. Upon my arrival, the order was ready and packaged well. The clerk was very polite and courteous. Both of the sandwiches were fresh and tasty.
