Rigatony's is a pretty good option especially if you're in a hurry as the food comes out very quickly. They also have an amazing lunch menu available every day until 4PM with most entrees costing only $11.50! My favorite part is the unlimited antipasto salad and ciabatta bread that comes with your meal. I love dipping the bread in olive oil and Italian seasoning. Yumm! I always skip the pepperoncini peppers and get extra salami and cheese. I've tried their chicken Parmesan, spaghetti in meat sauce, chicken cutlet piccata with fettuccine alfredo and lasagna. I wasn't wowed by any of the entrees and the marinara sauce is a bit too sweet for my liking. The unlimited salad and bread is always the highlight of my meal and a treat especially as I don't eat bread at home. For $11.50, it's an excellent value. All the staff members are also incredibly nice and accommodating. It's easy to see why this restaurant is so popular and always busy.
This place is located on the NE corner of Warner and McClintock. There is a lot of parking and a pickup window for takeout. Definitely would recommend reservations. But you need to call, there are no online reservations. Even for early times (4:30pm) we needed reservations. The servers and hostess were very friendly. All the dinners come with unlimited salad and bread. We got the common choices, chicken Parmesan, eggplant Parmesan, grilled chicken linguine, and margarita. The servings were reasonable size and about what you would expect. They do offer the option to "Sicilianize" pasta dishes to make them more spicy and flavorful. We tried this on a couple dishes but it did not add much. Ok to test out but don't expect spicy.
Whenever I have a craving for pasta and a salad, this is my go to. Their ciabatta bread and antipasto salad comes out very quickly and is plentiful. Their ciabatta bread is warm and gets even better after I put some olive oil and Italian seasoning on it. That alone is worth the trip. I like the chicken Parmesan with spaghetti and always take home lots of leftovers as the portions are huge. This is a great place for a value lunch. Staff is always friendly and seat you quickly. They're always on top of everything and very accommodating.
RigaTony's is our go to for good consistent neighborhood Italian food at decent prices. Is it authentic Italian? Mmmm, yes, but don't expect dining gourmet level dishes with innovative culinary creations and artisanal ingredients. Expect a simple down home mix of familiar scratch made comfort foods, classic dishes, and popular favorites that cater to a broader clientele. Plus, the dining experience is described as having that 'Little Italy' charm. We came on a busy afternoon and it was lunchtime at full swing. Upon entering the place, it was packed with patrons and there was a full room waiting for seats. We placed our names on the waiting list and the wait was expected to take 25-30 minutes. We waited approximately 40 minutes. We were seated at a nice wobbly table next to the garage type doors/windows. It was a nice area with plenty of sunlight. Menus were promptly given to us and we were asked of drink preferences. We both ordered sodas, which is unusual for me. I usually order San Pellegrino at Italian restaurants. I craved seafood, so I ended up ordering Cioppino and Chris ordered fettuccini Alfredo with broccoli and antipasto salad. Their delicious ciabatta bread was delivered first and it was almost all devoured before our entrees came. When our entrees were delivered, we asked for more bread. I needed that delicious bread to sop up the broth that would be left over after I demolished the seafood and pasta. The cioppino was good, but I had better. There was nothing special about the broth. With exception to the shrimp, the rest of the seafood in the dish was overcooked. I don't particularly like angel hair pasta in my cioppino, but that's how they serve it here. My wife loved here fettuccini alfredo and especially the salad. The salad was made with lettuce, Genoa salami, cheese, pepperocinis, red onion, tomatoes and olives. We did however notice they were a bit skimpy with the salad. You can ask for more though!
We went with reservations at 630 on Friday. Ambiance was wonderful we were with our adult son for his birthday (45). We had an awesome waiter, Zak we believe his name was, he was so pleasant and a great conversationalist. We laughed a lot and he did check in often to make sure we were good with food and drinks. Our food was exceptional as usual. We have been many times to RigaTonys and will continue to drive from East Mesa for a great meal and atmosphere.
We had reservations for 11 because of a recommended from our niece who lives in the area. We were able to sit as soon as we got there. Service was great! Our server was at the table at the right times. Order was correct. Drinks were great. Food was wonderful! I got the Capellini Checca, but with Parmesan cheese on the side instead of the goat cheese. It was wonderful! My son got the spaghetti and meatballs. He said it was ok...he prefers a thicker spaghetti sauce. My husband got the Tour of RigaTony. He liked everything except chicken piccata. I will definitely be back if I have the opportunity to go back!
My wife and I come here all the time and these people are trying to hurt our marriage. They gave us 3 slices of bread. Hadn't been here in over 10 years, but seems like it is still good quality and value. All lunch specials are about $11.99 and the fresh tossed salad was excellent. Along with the warm bread and olive oil. I tried the make your own pasta with angel hair with cacio de pepe, but the sauce missed the mark, lacking pepper flavor. Chicken was good quality.
This is going to be a painstaking review, as I feel as though Rigatony's is like family to me. Tonight, me and my two sons chose RigaTony's to honor my late husband's passing of 10 years. I feel like the quality of the food of Rigatony's has gone down. I would probably rate tonight's meal a 3 on a scale of 1-10. First of all, all, the food came out lukewarm, and the fettuccini alfredo was very pasty and dry. The chicken picatta is not the same quality that I remember it to be. It used to be tender and juicy and full of flavor but tonight it was not tender, it was thick chicken, and it was very dry. The bread seemed to have been hard as well. Salad was about the only thing that we enjoyed. Unfortunately for the almost $100 (with tip) that we had spent, I felt like we might as well have gone to a fast food Italian restaurant. Which is very sad to me, because Rigatony's is used to be my italian restaurant of choice. The portion size of the chicken picatta has also gotten smaller, it used to be two pieces of chicken, now it's just one. Anyway, im sad to say that I probably will not be recommending them like I used to always do. With new restaurants like North Italia as their competition, Rigatonys needs to do better. It really was very disappointing. The other meals were the artichoke chicken and Tuscan Salmon. They were also lukewarm, almost cold and although we all ate our food ( and took it to go) we didn't complain at the table to our server. In this day and age of social media, each and every meal must be consistent. This was very inconsistent to my previous experiences. The hostess staff was very friendly and accommodating. The server was fine also. The vibe was also too dark, candles on tables were missing.
They have pepperoccini in the salad. I like the little pieces of meat and cheese in the salad. The salad dressing is pretty good too. The Alfredo is pretty good. Seems like lots of people come to this restaurant. There were lots of groups eating there. The service is pretty good too. Family run restaurant.
I was searching for an old school Italian restaurant that have options for kids and variety and I came across to this amazing place. The restaurant has been ope about 50 years, and YES! That's can tell you how good they are and how delicious the food is. I order the rigatoni as per the recommendations which also comes with the house salad , also the kids pizza and asked for half cheese and half spicy. Everything was sooooooo delicious! They served with homemade bread and it's so tasty. The house salad just perfectly mixed with the dressing, the rigatoni with meat sauce -- absolutely MUST try and you won't be disappointed. The service is top-notch and they know what are good dishes and if you don't know what to order just ask the service staff, they know their menus very well. The ambience is welcoming and with a friendly service from the front door until the farewell. It's great place for a family and friends gathering. They do have both indoor and outdoor offer for you. This is the real Italian taste and I would highly recommend anyone is looking for something different or if you are an Italian food lover, come and check it out h th is amazing restaurant--YOU WILL LOVE IT! I will definitely come back for more very soon.
First time and won't be the last time! Loved the endless salad & bread with oil! The salad is fantastic! $12.95 lunch special plates are great values! The pineapple mango sangria is a highly recommended libation. Great, attentive service at the bar and love the old school interior. There is a reason this restaurant has been in business for decades. They are on their game!
7/11/25 It's been ~ six months since our last visit. Parking 5/5 Plenty parking at 2 pm. Ambiance 5/5 Always enjoy our dinner experiences here. Each dining enclave has a theme variation. Service 5/5 We always receive excellent service. From the Checkin in desk staff, servers and kitchen to table delivery team members! Today our server was Jenna. She took great care of us today keeping up on our tea and salad refills. She was prompt, pleasant, friendly and clearly enjoyed her job. Thx Jenna for our experience today!! Food 5/5 Today our food was exceptional! Maybe we were hungry it was our first meal of the day. Of note today was Timing to table, Food temperature and Flavors, delicious. My Wife ordered the Garlic butter Linguine which she loved. Today I ordered the Linguine & meat sauce with meatballs. I loved the sauce today, mine is close to this recipe or maybe I'm a legend in my own mind? The beef and pork meatballs were Mama-Mia great too. II miglior ristorante italiano! Q: What's the name of the Greek philosopher who loves rice? A: Arisotto! :) I saw someone dragging a clam on a leash this morning. It must be hard to walk with a pulled mussel. ;D Okay, I'll stop. RigaTony's: Your Italian sweetheart since 1994. That's thirty years! Wow! With that said, this is still one of my favorite Italian spots. Their clams in white wine garlic sauce still has a power over me and it's a menu item I always order. Soak it up with the house ciabatta and it can be a meal on it's own. Recently, I've been checking their website to find their weekly special. I had an amazing surf 'n' turf risotto here once that I still think about. How can you go wrong with rice, broth, butter, cheese, and wine? I'm not a fan of making risotto so if it's on the menu, there's a high possibility that I'm ordering it. As for the shrimp and steak medallions on the dish, they were both cooked well. Both proteins might have been cooked a minute too long but the butter and wine sauce helped keep things moist. WOW! We don't live near Tempe but had to go over that way and thought I'll try someplace new. I am a sucker for throwback joints. When I looked at their YELP pix and reviews and their website menu I knew I wanted to give this place a try. When I got there at 11 am when they opened there was a line to get in....on a Thursday.! I was by myself today and they sat me at a nice booth. It reminds me of so many great Italian restaurants I've been to around the country through the years. I got straight to business and ordered the Chicken Parm. They start you with a nice size bowl of Antipasto salad and soft Italian bread with olive oil. Delicious. I have had great and not so great Chicken Parm. LOVE THIS ONE! Nice lunch portion with a side of spaghetti on the plate. The red sauce was great! You can taste the garlic. The sauce is on the sweet side which is delicious to me...my wife does not like sweet sauces though so heads up on this one. THe lunch was 11.95 which to me was a huge value. Service was great ...nice personality, helpful, kept my drink full, lunch came out quickly. I felt bad though...at 12 bucks a 20% tip is not great. So I tipped very hot and still felt like I got a great deal. Even though it's a bit of a drive ...I'll be back to bring my wife and daughter! read more

The pasta is delicious!!! Absolutely lovedddd my baked rigatoni. Yum. The ends were crispy and the rest of it melts in your mouth. The cheese tastes fresh and the marinara sauce is super yummy. My boyfriend's Jambalaya pasta looked amazing and he loved it too. Also their bread is really tasty too!!! Reasonably priced for the portions. The service was fine. This restaurant seems very popular because it was busy but there was plenty of seating, and it was clean inside as well. Will definitely be back!! read more

Stopped in for lunch with some co-workers. Haven't been in years but glad I came. The host sat us promptly and the inside was well kept. I ordered the customizable lunch pasta, caesar salad and a cream soda. The pasta sauce was rich and creamy with the meatball being cooked perfectly. I loved the caesar dressing and the salad was fresh. The cream soda did not disappoint and was very tasty. Everything was tasty with just the right portion. I'd definitely be back. read more
3.5 Stars I was pleasantly surprised on my first two visits to RigaTony's! Mom and I are on a mission to try new spot in her new living area. I was expecting a mediocre meal as you would get at the big chain restaurant(OG). One our first visit we didn't take any photos of our food. Mom and I jumped into our dishes with no regards to my fellow Yelpers to provide photos for their use. The chatting was at a minimum while we ate, :-)! Mom had a bowl of Minestrone soup, salad , bread and I had the cheese ravioli with meat sauce. The meat sauce brought me back to my early teen years. As a latchkey kid, I started cooking early and a simple ground beef meat sauce was something in my early bag of tools. So having this meat sauce at RigaTony's was a time travel back to those days. On trip two Mom and I both have the Pasta-Bilities bowls. Just snapped one photo since we both had the same bowl. You will also see the delicious ciabatta bread they bring to the table. Sorry, we jump right into the salad before any ideas of photos hit my mind. This is a must try if you're on the fence! Came in for a date Sunday evening around 12:45pm or so. Greeted by the manager Pat and a nice lady. Big smiles and seemed kind! We were offered at 10-15 minute wait for inside or immediately sat for outside so we sat outside, it was beautiful. The weather and temperature was perfect! It was my first time, but the guy who invited me on the date had been multiple times! The salad that came with our meal was real good. I got the grilled chicken linguine with the gluten free quinoa pasta and he got the Tuscan salmon. Mine was really good! I'm not allergic to gluten but it upsets my tummy and I normally don't order gluten free but I had to go to work after so I didn't want any problems LOL. Anyway, salad was good, pasta was good, the sausage side was good, and our server Angel did a great job too. Thank you for the great first experience! read more

Wow! Amazing! Staff is very friendly from the minute you come in and get seated. Great Italian restaurant in south Tempe! I love the fact that their meals come with a salad and it's no ordinary salad, this salad is loaded! Came in for lunch and ordered the Chicken Florentine! So good! I love how the spinach is fried! We also ordered the Penne Rosa with chicken instead of sausage and requested Cajun Cream Sauce instead and they were able to modify the plate. Came out delicious! If you're in south Tempe/Chandler and you want some Italian.. stop by, but make sure you come early, because it gets packed really fast! read more

Whenever I order it, I always have them add mushrooms and fresh garlic, and that just takes it over the top! If you come here, you've gotta try the jambalaya pasta! I've been here a few times now. Couple times for business lunches and then also just on personal time with my family. I have to say the service has been consistently top-notch, our food is always exactly as we order it (and delicious) and the ambience is just right. We haven't been back to RigaTony's since they left their Brown Rd. location many, many years ago. Happy to report that it's still a great family Italian restaurant to hit. The speed and quality of the service blew us away. Our drinks were delivered while our sweet, bubbly server (Randie) was still taking our order. Pretty cool trick! Throughout the night, Randie continued to check on us and make sure we always had what we needed. Every table will receive the tasty antipasto salad and soft, crusty ciabatta bread. Loved both of them although the salad does have a lot of dressing on it. Some suggest asking for that on the side. You can also request scampi butter for your bread which is kind of a garlic-herb type spread. I had the lasagna. It's fairly good - a little on the saucy side. It was enough for me to save half for another meal. My son enjoyed the Baked RigaTony and thought they were generous with the sausage. Based on our thirty minute wait for a table on a Wednesday, I'm pretty sure this place draws a crowd every night. I think they execute family style Italian food quite well. read more

First time trying out RigaTony's! It's been on our list for a long time. I wish yelp would allow you to give 1/2 stars, because I would opt for a 3.5 rating instead. We tried the grilled chicken linguini and the penne Rosa with sausage. The chicken linguini was meh to me, the cream sauce lacked any real flavor and was bland. Probably not something I would get again. I preferred the penne Rosa, the sausage had a slight kick to it which was nice and I enjoyed the broccoli, mushrooms and peas. It's great that their pastas come with a small side salad and a piece of bread. For $20 I would have hoped for something better, although it's not a chain restaurant it reminded me of an Olive Garden or an Oregano's. read more

Stopped here on a trip to PHX expecting a good Italian restaurant, but I'm from NJ and good would've been edible. Let me tell you, anyone coming here from NY or NJ will be surprised by the delicious quality they are serving far from the Italian Hubs on America. The pasta was delicious and the salad was exceptional. Also the server was funny and helped us get in and out. Walking in it was a bit slow so wasn't expecting much, now it's one of the most talked about Italian restaurants on my list of places outside NJ. Well done RigaTony's! read more

Dont go there service is the worst I have ever in my life experience and I wouldn't know about the food they for got ours and didn't even uncork our wine
Is their Eggplant parm still topped with the eggplant and tomato bruschetta? The menu doesn't say it is.
Does this restaurant have a separate room for groups? We are trying to plan a wedding rehearsal dinner for February. Probably 15-20 people. Recommendation? Thanks.
