Yessss! I love food finds like this when traveling! CONTEXT: My friends and I spent a week in Boulder essentially beating up our bodies with a week of workouts, so on Friday, after surviving a week of exercise torture, we decided that we were going to treat ourselves to a nice dinner. Cue Rincon Argentino. We arrived at around 8pm on a Friday night and there were still a ton of people lining up to order at Rincon. You order and pay at the cashier and they give you a number. You seat yourselves. If it's a nice day out, I recommend sitting outside to really enjoy the atmosphere. EMPANADAS: #1 Tradicional- Steak #2 Carne Picante- Spicy steak (I enjoyed this one-- it did have some kick, hence the "spicy." I really don't think there's a need to get the tradicional when you can get the carne picante, provided you enjoy a little bit of spiciness to your meat.) #3 Gaucho- Ground Beef #4 Criolla- Spicy Ground Beef #5 Pollo- Chicken #6 Pollo Picante- Spicy Chicken #7 Pollo de Chorizo- Chicken Chorizo #8 Pollo Barbacoa- BBQ Chicken (Yum! The barbecue flavor of the chicken was done quite well) #9 Jamon y Queso- Ham and Cheese #10 Caprese- Mozzarella, Tomato, and Basil #11 Espinaca- Spinach #12 Patagonia- Parmesan, Tomato, Garlic, and Basil #13 Queso y Cebolla- Cheese and Onion #14 Hongos- Wild Mushroom (I really liked this one. This wild mushroom empanada includes crimini, oyster, and shiitake mushrooms, as well as garlic and parsley. I think this might have been my favorite of the empanadas that I tried.) #15 Choclo- Corn You get three options for sauce-- mild, medium (chimichurri), and spicy. I went with the medium chimichurri, which I thought was fantastic and really added to the flavor of the empanadas. These empanadas are pretty hearty in size, and for $3.65ea, you would expect to get a decent amount of food. Depending on which empanada you order, they will differ in their shape. I would say for me, three empanadas was a good amount to order and made for a good sized meal, with no leftovers. $3.65 x 3 empanada = $10.95, which I think is reasonable for a dining out meal. Also, wine. When going to an Argentinian place... you gotta get a Malbec. My friend and I were both pleased with the generous pours that we received, so another plus there. SERVICE: Everyone was all around friendly and helpful. We did have to wait a bit for our empanadas to come out, but there so many people ahead of us in line, that I feel like the time we waited was still fairly reasonable. tl;dr: I loved this place! Such a great way to end my trip to Boulder, and if I return, I would definitely definitely come back to Rincon Argentino! read more

My husband and I are from Aurora, CO and a couple weeks ago we had the best time at dinner that I think I've ever had! Our server Lina was adorable and full of personality plus, She was attentive, entertaining and knowledgeable. It was our first time there and she was very helpful to us when it came to ordering empanadas. She gave us many options, telling us a little bit about the empanadas, and was recommending her favorite empanadas to us. And even tho she had a mask on, we could feel her comforting smile as she explained everything to us. She is a huge asset to your restaurant along with the warm welcoming staff. Stopped by here after hiking around El Dorado Canyon. We were all famished and this place was perfect to refuel us. The empanadas were all delicious, we pretty much sampled the whole menu between our table of 6. BBQ chicken, spicy chicken, and the caprese were especially good. They make everything in the front in a brick oven, which gave the crust some good crispy-ness! It was pretty busy when we went at 3pm on Saturday and the outdoor porch and inside tables were all mostly full. We had to sit basically in the order line, which is my only complaint. Yums. We were in Boulder for some scenic viewing and got hungry. We found this place on Trip Advisor and decided to check it out. This place was really cute - difficult parking though. When the owner behind the counter spoke to us in Spanish, I knew his empanadas has to be legit. And legit they were. We got some chicken, some barbacoa chicken, ground beef, spicy beef and every one of us loved one. We even ordered seconds. The place is quite pricey, though. $4 for an empanada is a little steep, though worth it. Next time I'm in Boulder I'll definitely go back. It's worth writing home to mom about. ;) read more

While the location was cute and the empanadas were pretty tasty, I was really underwhelmed and disappointed especially after all of the awesome reviews and the low $ rating. First, the guy that took our order just seemed annoyed that we were even there and proceeded to forget to give us the alfajores that we ordered, which I had to go back up to ask for. Second, this does not deserve as low of a $ rating as it has. The empanadas are really small, like not anywhere near large enough to make a lunch out of, and they cost far too much. When I was in the Galapagos, I could get an empanada three times this size, and three times as good, for a third of the price. I was really excited to try some Argentinian style food and to try a new spot, but in the end I wished we'd spent all that money elsewhere on much for food. We likely will not be back, but if you don't mind the price and are looking for a SNACK, then I recommend giving this place a try. read more

This place is the definition of mouth-watering! The restaurant has this upbeat, hyper--active atmosphere, but not overwhelmingly so, just fun to be around. The walls are decorated with Argentinian sports memorabilia and other pieces of art, and photos of the owner's family. But MOST IMPORTANTLY, the empanadas! They offer so many different styles(15 to be exact), and each filling has a different creative shape to the yummy morsel! They do offer vegetarian and gluten-free also! It's a great experience to relax at a table, listen to the tv light in the background, but get to hear and see the flurry of activity in the kitchen. The smell of freshly baked empanadas is a combination of fresh bread, with herbs and spices! If you aren't into empanadas, they also offer sandwiches and salads. But at least once you need to try their Mate orange juice concoction, it is refreshing and perfectly sweet. And don't forget to try a German-Argentinian fusion dessert! read more

This is a cute, casual restaurant with yummy empanadas. We shared 5 different varieties (3 per person is about right unless you want a lighter meal) and enjoyed them all. Being Argentinian myself I've tried lots of Argentinian restaurants, and not just in Colorado. I have to say the chicken milanesa sandwich is by far the best I've ever had. Many other Argentinian restaurants either give you too much bread and not enough meat or the meat is so fried all you can taste is the oil. Most of the time it's not even prepared by Argentinians. Everyone was super friendly, great atmosphere. The food was super filling and delicious. I will definitely be coming back to try the empanadas and I would really recommend this place. read more
