I spent around $500 on a single order. One item was returned unclean. They did make it right by offering a reclean. The valets are really helpful but the customer service available through their phone number is horrible. The person talking to me was extremely rude and offered me tips on how to communicate more effectively. My response was to take my business elsewhere. read more

During a remodeling project, my washer/drier are unavailable. I tried Rinse because with a $25 coupon it was very inexpensive. I will use it again before the project is done. Really impressed with their app, ease of scheduling. I clicked "Get Offer" and entered my zip code of 94925 for Corte Madera and I get told "We don't serve your area". Genius. When I clicked on "Get Offer" I also noticed the Rinse website proudly advertised a 5 star Yelp rating. I tried clicking on the rating icon to learn more but strangely found it didn't take me to Yelp. When I double checked Yelp, I now see why they didn't want me seeing the real ratings... it turns out the 5 star rating was true months ago, but is now false. At best, deliberately misleading. I hope your cleaning service is better than your shoddy marketing. read more

Rinse isn't the best, but it's not the worst. Pros: They always come on time, have a speedy turn around, have never lost or damaged my clothes, have great customer service and comparable prices to any other laundry service. Cons: I don't feel like my clothes get cleaned very well. I feel like they just throw everything in one machine. My whites often come back looking kind of yellow, and stains don't get washed out. I think I'll go back to wash and fold at my local laundromat just because I need my clothes to be cleaned more thoroughly. read more

Rinse is the most convenient service for laundry in SF that I've tried. They have fast turn around, great quality, excellent customer service. Even though the pricetag may look high I have averaged about $20/mo using them. I have mostly t-shirts, jeans, underwear and socks, and very little dry cleaning or special wash items. read more

I had a great first experience, my 2nd experience with this company was a complete nightmare. They got all my information I gave them they totally Ignored, as a result my dry cleaning took 2 weeks! I'm giving Rinse two stars but it would be 2.5. I can't discredit the good things, but I can't call it A-ok either. Most of the time Rinse was fantastic. Until this one incident had no significant issues. I found a random sock once which means someone else was missing one. I got a sweater back once that hadn't been washed. Those weren't a big deal and the response was fine. I used Rinse for a couple of years at least I think. I even sent my wedding dress for dry cleaning (which thank GOD that wasn't the item for which I'm writing this review). I sent out a normal load of wash and fold. When I got it back, I took some of the items out of the plastic to put them away and began to notice what looked like blood drops on multiple items. There is absolutely NO WAY whoever was folding did not notice. I work in healthcare. I know blood when I see it. I contacted Rinse immediately. I was fuming. I will say this. They were quite apologetic and acted fast to try to resolve the issue. However they were very careful to dance around naming the stains and even more careful to tell me that they "didn't occur during the cleaning process" after they evaluated them. That being said, when the stains could not be removed they contacted me as per their policy before taking further action. At that time they told me the stains were not blood. No evidence as to how they know this since they did nothing to the stains. The spots on the items were as they were when I sent them so they never got re-washed. Again, though, they offered compensation right away. The only downside of that was that I had to take time to research about 8-10 items of clothing of various ages to find prices. When the retailers no longer carried the items I had to find items that were similar. They offered credit or check; of course I chose check because I do not plan to use them again. They sent a check for the full amount that I submitted. I do very much appreciate that. In summary, most of the time I had no problem. When I did have a significant issue they were reasonable in the resolution even if they did choose their words very carefully so as to appease me without calling it what it was. I cannot in good conscience use them again as a result of this. It was a giant pain to have to replace clothes and at the end of the day someone didn't do their job. But I will absolutely give them credit for the fair resolution. read more

I just had the worst situation was when is there are people that pick up laundry. Not only does she have a bad attitude but she also has no patience to try to get ahold of anyone especially since I was in the bathroom. I always had left my laundry outside and the service would always just pick up my laundry and take it for Service tonight is the last straw. I was planning to use rinse to wash my bedding blankets sheets covers etc., and out they only do clothes. By that time I was on their web page and signed in and posted my credit card. I told them that I would not be using their services and attempted to cancel the subscription and remove my credit card. To my surprise the have no way to cancel the subscription on their web page or to delete my account. So I emailed them and told them not to sell my information and that I am canceling my account and want my credit card removed from web page. They responded that they would not sell my information but said nothing about removing my credit card or allowing me to cancel my account. I am blocking them from charging at my bank and will never do business with these folks again. I would suggest everyone with a subscription check your credit card statements because they are doing more then washing and rinsing. read more

Quality control is not good. I was very excited after having back surgery to discover a company to take this chore up and down my 3 flights of stairs. I chose to give 3 stars because the clothes do get picked up at your door and dropped off smelling fresher. However the luster wears off quickly as the items need post laundering care. They do not show up ready to wear. They often look as if they left them in the dryer all night and then folded them, but they were never taught how to fold by following the lines of the garment for optimal wearability. They often return my delicate care items (dry clean in tag) unwashed in a plastic bag. Some socks disappeared and a Patagonia rain jacket completely dissolved (we took blame as it should not have been in their care to begin with) And lastly their provided bags shed black flecks all over. They do put your clean things in plastic to keep them clean, but the inside wears out and disintegrated quickly. read more

This was my second time using Rinse. The first time went fine. The second time was without a doubt the worst experience I have ever had using any service ever. I had two bags of clothing - one for Wash & Fold and a second for Hang Dry. They were sorted and put in the appropriate bags. I ordered a rush turnaround for an extra cost on the Wash & Fold so I got that back the next day. As I was unpacking, I noticed a few things were missing. A couple pairs of shorts, a couple shirts. I also had one sock without its match. I also noticed that a couple items that I put in the hang dry bag came back with the wash & fold. Most were okay but one of my favorite shirts was ruined (it shrunk). I reached out to find out why my clothes were missing and they weren't able to figure it out. This was Wednesday evening. I repeatedly followed up and spoke with multiple people and they were unable to locate my items until Friday late afternoon/evening. They repeatedly gave me deadlines for when they would get back to me and then missed those deadlines. I had to keep following up and different people kept replying. Finally on Friday late afternoon/evening, they sent me photos of a bunch of stuff to ask if it was mine. It was. They said that it was with the hang dry stuff and suggested that I had put it in the wrong bag. I'm certain I did not. In fact, they SPLIT UP a pair of socks and returned one sock with wash and fold and left one sock behind with hang dry. The pair was in one bag together when I gave it to them. What looks like happened is they mixed everything together and then (poorly) tried to re-sort but got a lot of the items wrong and dried items that shouldn't have been dried and hung items that shouldn't have been hang dried. What's extra crazy is that: - They won't refund me for the full cost of the shirt they ruined because the "similar style" shirt is on sale (the shirt they ruined is one of my favorites and no longer available to buy) - It costs substantially more to hang dry and they're charging me the hang dry cost for all the stuff that was in the wash & fold bag but somehow got mixed into hang dry - They won't refund me for any of the cleaning costs despite this being the literal worst customer experience of my life What's worse? On Friday when they told me they wouldn't refund me for anything, I asked if a manager could call me. They said nobody would be able to call me until Sunday after 3pm because everyone is gone for the weekend. If I were that manager and knew this is how customers are being treated, I would be livid that I didn't get the opportunity to make things right. But wait, it gets worse. When I finally got the rest of my clothing back, two shirts had stains on them that won't come out. The rest were all kind of faded. Two more items fully ruined and the rest in worse shape than I sent it. If you're considering using Rinse, do not do it. read more

I wish I could write a positive review but can't. I tore my acl so getting to the laundromat was not a possibility. Rinse was my only option and unfortunately I did not have a positive experience. Too many items of mine were ruined, some beyond repair, after using rinse for wash and fold, hang dry, dry cleaning, and repair (yes during repair they destroyed my items even more). Great concept especially for those who can't get to a laundromat however they need to make sure they have better partners because I had expensive and new items completely destroyed. Maybe in a few months try again but as of right now I am staying far away from this service. Pictures included for some of the items. I stopped using Rinse for wash and fold but figured I would give dry cleaning another go. I was wrong. Stay away from this service I cannot stress enough the hundreds of dollars in clothing they've damaged to the point they had to send a live check in the past. Walk to your trusted dry cleaners, the convenience isn't worth the damaged items. *UPDATE IN LEAS THAN 24 HOURS IS THIS A FIRST?* After fighting with Rinse and schedule a pickup so they can try to clean the top they destroyed, as I pulled the items out of the dry cleaning bag (they were delivered late last night and the valet did not contact at all upon arrival) turns out..... THEY GAVE ME THE WRONG DELIVERY. Countless texts to Rinse with no response (and no message from the valet who was supposed to pick up my items), I finally hear back asking if I gave the valet my items. NO RESPONSE about MY lost items and NO REGARD to the fact they ruined the items to begin with. Still waiting to hear back. Is -5 stars a possibility? They've destroyed over $1000 worth of clothes. Used Rinse for over a year. The quality of the wash is great. But ultimately grew frustrated with the inconsistent pick-up/drop-off experience. They had access to our building but didn't always follow security measures, and sometimes just tossed the bag inside on the floor of the lobby. The cost for the hassle became prohibitive, its not cheap and I felt like we had to do too much oversight. I also struggle with how environmentally wasteful they are - we're left with 6-8 huge thick branded polyester bags that they tell you to just toss. Would love to see some more environmental accountability and responsibility here. read more

Apparently, Rinse accepts pickup requests regardless their routes are full then just cancel 2 hours later. Maybe I should have walked down the block and dropped off my order myself. Very poor service. Mistakes happen, issues happen and that is understandable at times. They will NOT work with you or accommodate to fix the problem. They will not reimburse for services not rendered as they were supposed to be. This service is definitely not worth the money you pay. I paid $70 for next day service because I needed the clothes to pack for a flight I had to catch. I planned this ahead of time. They said they couldn't deliver the clothes that day and did not try to make it right or give me a discount. I will never use them again. I've had several bad experiences with Rinse. From mixing up my clothes with someone else's. Sending back my clothes unwashed. Sending back my dry clean smelling like a strong chemical. Ruining my duvet (came back with lumps inside), but they refunded me for this. I decided I won't use them again. But then they sent me a discount coupon in the mail and I needed my clothes dry cleaned. After telling me the credit will apply, turns out they didn't apply it and on top of that, they subscribed me to some monthly membership I never asked for. And their customer service is completely clueless. Each rep will text me a different response. I won't use them again and I am back to a quest for good dry clean services. read more

First I want to say that the team is very friendly and respectful and responsive, the reason I'm giving 2 starts is because they have lost our items twice, about 6 months in between two loses, first one wasn't that serious because it was only about 3 items and was retrieved fast, second loss that took about a week to find, because it was delivered to wrong address, and the names weren't even close to being or sounding the same, the items that were delivered to wrong address were at values close to 4k, I think it's a big red flag to continue using them on after that, the drivers and delivery team I wound out my trust in again, I appreciate them finding our items, and being helpful, but this kind of thing should have not happened in first place, because only 4 peace's out of 22 were delivered, high end items were delivered to wrong address, delivered drivers and their route in my opinion is poorly monitored, also we had to call them to tell THEM our items were missing, if I didn't call we would have not got them back, and this was basically the answer from the team as well, that they don't get final confirmation of the delivery back, I think system is poor and that it needs better managing and monitoring, I wouldn't recommend this because they are not consistent. read more

They did a great job, with laundry and dry cleaning. Their pick up and delivery was timely and efficient in our new non contact Corona Virus world. Rinse's wash and fold service allowed me to move items from their delivery bag to my clothing drawers quickly and easily. The dry cleaning was delivered on hangers inside a covering that insured that my clothing remained safe, clean and dry. Jackets, dresses and pants were perfectly pressed with special attention to straight seams. My old things look brand new. read more

Rinse did not notify me, but returned many of my clothes unwashed. The items are not dry clean (and Rinse has washed them before), so it isn't clear why sometimes they wash them and other times they do not. This has happened more than once. Now that they've had my clothes for days I'm out of work shirts, so I'm heading to the laundry to wash the items myself. The delivery people can't figure out how to use my call box to ring my apartment even with written instruction. That way they don't have to bring the clothes to my door, which defeats the purpose of delivery. read more

Here are the facts: - Bought clothes less than 2 weeks ago. - Trusted Rinse with my brand new clothes. - My entire wardrobe was new, unstained, and worn only once. - 4 items were returned with oil-stains (2 khakis, 2 white shirts) - 8 White undershirts shrunk from 2X to about a L. - I contacted Rinse within 15 minutes after clothes being dropped-off (10pm last night. Haven't heard back from them since. Their business hours on weekdays are 5am-11pm. It's now 10am the next morning). - It tore my soul seeing my brand new wardrobe in this condition. I couldn't sleep because of the stress this caused. - After careful consideration, I cancelled the service and will forfeit any remaining bags I have available to be used. I don't trust them anymore. - I expect the usual "I apologize for your experience" response, but the damage is done. - I wonder if they'll refund my bag, the cost of my khaki's and shrunken undershirts. - I imagine this would be the right thing to do, but I don't expect it. - My advice to folks is if you want your clothes handled with care, do it yourself. You'll be satisfied knowing if you damage it, it was by your own doing, and not someone being careless with your brand new clothes. - It was my mistake for being lazy and trying to save "3 hours of laundry" - I don't even care to hear I'm sorry from them. I was extremely loyal to RINSE for almost two years until one of their couriers came to my house for a pickup and without any explanation just drove off. Contacted RINSE, they were somewhat apologetic. Still left a bad taste in my mouth. Aside from that , they do fantastic work and their prices are okay given that it is a pick up /delivery service . The provide you with a nice laundry bag to place your items in for every pickup which makes it convenient. Now if they could just get their couriers to be a little bit more professional then we can give them a five star . read more

Rinse is far and away the most useful service I've ever had in San Francisco. Rinse's employees are friendly, on time, and a joy to see when returning your laundry (i.e. someone else's clothes), which is impressive. Their text alerts keep you aware of exactly when to know how to drop off your bag in your home/apartment, and receive it the same way. Also, I find Rinse to be very affordable if you're too lazy to do a large load of laundry that can arrive clean, neatly folded, and with a smile. I love this service. We just moved to a building in Alameda and we're in need of laundry service. I signed up for Rinse and scheduled my pickup. The ability to speak through text was nice and reassuring. I got a text at 5:33pm with my valet's name and pickup time. It's late which I don't mind. At 5:55pm I received a text cancelling our pickup. I was a bit dumbfounded. We are new customers and it's our first pickup. We just moved and are essentially out of clean clothing. Finding out moments before my pickup that we had to be cancelled out is in a very rough spot. We could have been looking for another solution today etc. It left me very bitter and not very confident in their service. It's very unprofessional to tell me within a 20min time period that rest assured your pickup is happening and then cancelling it. They offered me some ridiculously low compensation for it and offered to reschedule it for tomorrow night but I'm worried they wouldn't be able to follow through then either. I reached out to Family Laundry in Oakland since I was sort of in panic mode about not having clothes. I downloaded their app, scheduled a pickup for 8p-10p, and got a call that they were on their way to get my clothes. The pickup was fast and very friendly. I wish Rinse could have came through for us but this was just very unacceptable being first time clients and the way they cancelled on us. read more

I've used Rinse for about a year, and am really unhappy with the decline in quality. It started out as an easy, convenient service, but over time my clothes were not cleaned properly. They would come back smelling like they had been thrown in the dryer without washing with detergent first. Then they raised the prices several times. And on top of that, they're the only service that only does late-night pick ups/deliveries. It's really inconvenient to have to wait til close to 11pm to get my clothes, when other services allow you to schedule time slots throughout the day. Rinse only does 8-10pm (often the driver is late). I don't want to leave my clothes outside all night long on the street so I have to stay up and wait. I hate that I have to go back to the drawing board and find another service now, but the past few months have been very disappointing. read more

Not good. I have given rinse multiple chances. First of all, beyond just typical losing your sock and using high hot heat to wash your clothes so they all shrink. Their laundry vendor is likely using old filters to dry clean your clothes. When you use old filters, a moldy and musty smell (like if you walked past a person who hasn't showered) appears on the clothes. I sent in 5 jackets of mine (at a hefty price of $70, its not cheap by any means either) to get dry cleaned. When you dry clean things, they are usually delicate and some of your most valuable, best jackets. Unfortunately, all of my jackets and wool blanket came back to smell moldy and musty. I couldn't even handle it, I had to quickly put it back into the zipper bag. I reached out to customer service and they took it back to clean. The time it took for them to clean was extended since I asked them for an ETA and they stated that it still smelled (which is discouraging). When I got my clothes back a whole week later than scheduled, it still smelt bad (better but bad). One of my best jackets wasn't even that dirty when I sent it in and yet now it still has residual homeless person smell on it. I went to my local cleaner and tried to get out the smell and paid for additional cleaning to get it out. There is still a faint smell but at least I can wear it now without wanting to vomit. I complained and rinse stated they want to re-clean it for me for no charge. But tell me, would you trust them for a third time to re-clean it? Oh also, they never refunded me, they gave me 70 bucks in credit (which is less than ideal since I will never go back to them). If you want to risk your clothes getting damaged without compensation, then feel free to use Rinse. Otherwise, just walk to your local cleaner, they are more trustworthy. Rinse can consider me a lost customer forever. I will be telling people about my experience. read more

I am always the last priority for Rinse delivery. They say I will receive my clothes at 9:30pm and it won't be delivered until almost 11 pm. This is after I told them not to deliver to me after 9:30pm. Many inconsistencies on time frame for pick up and delivery . I cannot depend on Rinse. read more

I was looking for a laundry service and was told to give Rinse a try. Scheduling was easy, the only isssue was I asked to use my own fabric softener and was told that it wouldn't be possible, that it could get lost, which, I've used services before that allowed this, but, okay, fine. I requested a 24 hour turnaround and my items were retuned to me the next night, and they were in the Rinse black bag, but inside were the two same plastic disposable bags I gave the valet the night before, separated exactly as I did the night before...meaning, THEY HAD NEVER BEEN TAKEN OUT THE BAG TO BE WASHED. I open the bags, and I pull out my kitchen towels and they had rice stuck to them and the same food stains that prompted me to wash them. My sweatshirt had makeup on the collar and my other gym clothes all smelled like I just left the gym. Basically, my clothes went to an overnight camp in a fancy black bag. Convenient but clothes get consistently lost on 2/3 of orders. I've probably lost 10-20% of my inventory after 6 months of using this service at 2 bags per month. Unfortunately, like most people I don't have time to inspect each order before/after for lost items for reimbursement. This is a great concept, but just poorly executed. The only pickup window is 8-10 pm and I have never been able to successfully connect within that time. If that works for you, then disregard this review. Every attempt I've scheduled, I've been told that they're running behind and it will be closer to 11 pm. They tell me that I can request the "early" pickup window, but when I tried they say demand is too high and they can't guarantee it. Three strikes today. I don't generally post negative reviews because I assume my experience was a fluke or a one-off, but in this case I feel it's somewhat warranted. I really wish this had worked out--I am going to use one of the many other local services that offer free pick-up/delivery within a more reasonable window. When you get up for work before the sun rises, it's not convenient to stay awake pounding espresso waiting for the dry cleaning to be picked up. read more
