Portions are huge a half hoagie could be split between two, especially if it is for kids. The Italian hoagie was good, but the service was extremely off. They brought out the food randomly 3 of us got our sandwiches within 15 min, but one of us still didn't have theirs over 25 minutes later so we asked for a refund. This place has some of the best pizza I've ever had. We got the 28" pepperoni pizza and it was delicious! It can feed a small family 100%. Also got the caprese salad it was delicious dressing was very good. Told all my family about it and hopefully when they come down next summer they enjoy it as much as we did. They seemed overwhelmed at the front desk. We were told it would be an hour to 1 hr 15 min for a pick up order. We said okay because we had an errand we could do and then come back. They seemed irritated we still wanted to order. We came back in an hour and the food had apparently been ready and sitting for a while as they were calling order numbers several past ours. The food was all delicious. Pizzas were great. I think they were just really really busy that night. We will keep it on the list for when we come each year...just maybe call and order by phone more in advance instead. read more

This restaurant shares its space with Burger King. Not next to it, or behind it, but in the same building. You park in the Burger King lot. It's odd - but certainly makes it easy to find. So.... look for the Burger King, park in its lot and you'll find great Italian through a side door. We got a pizza. Wood fired, thin crust, lots of cheese, sandwich size pepperoni. Interesting pricing philosophy - crust, sauce, cheese is 1 price, then each topping you add is $1, $3, or $5 depending on the size pie you order. (8, 16, or 28). (And if you're wondering - a 28" pizza is HUGE. If you have leftovers, the box is not going to fit in your frig.). Two of us ordered a 16" and couldn't finish it! Hubs doesn't usually like thin crust, but he said this was one of the best pizza's he's ever had. He's still talking about it. We saw food others ordered, and it all looked great - an avocado club, a cheesesteak, some kind of pasta. It appears unlike many Italian restaurants, it's not an 'either/or' pizza/pasta proposition, but a 'you'll be happy with either' kind of place! One note / there's no ambiance. Remember the Burger King? It's literally the same atmosphere. But there's a few tables outside, or just pick up and take home. We weren't too concerned about ambiance with a pizza, so just ate there. There's not much service either - you order, they hand it over. They're pleasant and courteous - but it's not linen table cloth table service. It's definitely about the food, my friends. Clean and all about the great food! Excellent pizzas and Italian dish classics! The place is set up with small dining area (holds about 25), but mostly designed for takeout and delivery (3rd party?). Not sure if they deliver, themselves, you may need a delivery service. We had several 16" and one 28" pizzas. The turnaround time was reasonable. Nothing better than their fresh baked crust, it's perfectly baked chewy yet crispy. They give you long rectangular plates (to hold 14" long slices) and real metal silverware with napkins for dine-in. Has fountain drink self-serve station. No complaints! Not fancy but it's all about the food! read more

This is the best wood fired pizza in Delmarva. Their menu consists of great wood fired brick oven pizza (personal, 16 inch and 23 inch), delicious subs including meaty cheesesteaks, and dessert pizzas. Parking is shared with Burger King and is plentiful. There are about 4 or 5 tables inside and a few outside. You order at a counter then have it delivered to your table. I looked up Ripieno's on Google. Located a menu and made a selection for carry out. Called the store and placed an order. One whole Porcelino and an order of Caprese Salad. I was told it would be ready in 15 minutes so I got underway immediately. When I arrived 15 minutes later I was told it was ready! Fantastic! Then I was told it would be $48 and some change. STOP! 48 dollars? Manager please. Upon talking with the manager he informed me that Ripieno's doesn't have a website or an online presence and we're subject to an unwanted, third party site who got the prices years ago when they opened. They then hold the establishment hostage by not updating the menu or the price list. If they don't pay. I begrudgingly paid the $48 Because it's ready. We received an abundance of food that was so delicious I can't wait till tomorrow to enjoy the leftovers!! Thank you Ripieno's for a fabulous dinner and lunch and maybe even a late night snack. This place is solid! Wood fired pizza was thin and perfectly charred with quality mozzarella and a chunky, what seemed to be homemade sauce that wasn't too sweet and was nicely seasoned. The meatball sub was heavy and delicious. The bread was surprisingly good and perfectly crispy and delicate on the outside. The mozzarella on top was generously seasoned with oregano and the sauce was solid. I got a half (11") and it was a very friendly portion. I added hot cherry pepper relish to mine. I will ask for more next time (and there will be a next time). My wife had the fresh mozzarella caprese and it was beautiful, tasty and one we'd recommend. The tomato slices were HUGE! Pesto dressing was good. If it had kalamata olives it would've been better. They did this thing where every time a pizza was presented to someone at the to-go counter, they announced the type of pie and then opened the box and revealed the pizza each time. I'd never seen that before. I guess it was to confirm you got the right pie? It also seemed like an attempt to differentiate and add some extra service to each order. I didn't have a problem with it or anything. I guess it was a good thing. The guy in front of me got a 28" pie. It was really big and the price was reasonable. I'd like to try one of those sometime. Only here for a week and I think we will go again before we leave. This place was legit. Didn't expect to find great pizza or great bread on a Meatball sandwich in Maryland. First of all I must mention that the manager was an a SS Astruc Astruc Astruc Astruc, because he was rude and insensitive. It seem like he was yelling at the staff the whole time I was there and made sure he told me that I couldn't add anything to any of those pizza such as tomatoes, take it or leave it. I ordered a pizza and again was unable to name any different toppings that were on the prescribed menu and eggplant. The eggplant Parmesan was very forgetful and fried, just wasn't very good. The pizza although better was good but not fantastic, Since they wouldn't add tomato sauce to it it was just vegetables on top of bread. The ratatouille was just laying on top of the dough. I have visited on more than one occasion. The food never disappoints. Very generous portions. A whole sandwich or sub actually feeds two people. Only dined in once, and found the open space enjoyable. Carry-out works great and it is ready in the time frame that one is provided over the phone. Plan to make it our main sub shop in Ocean City. Verdict: That's quite the calzone. The calzone is pretty massive. The sandwiches seem to be higher than average cost, yet the calzone and stromboli are surprisingly reasonable. It's not like they skimp on the portions for anything. The sandwiches look great too and a serving of fries can serve a family. I'll be going back for more. That much I know. The people working here were great. We felt welcome from the moment we arrived throughout our dinner. Lots of people were coming in to grab a pizza or other takeout and I got the impression this place was a hot spot for the locals. We ordered a pepperoni pizza on the phone. The place wasn't crowded, which I can see why. They said it would be 15 mins and we got there after 20 mins. It wasn't ready. We finally got our pizza after 35 mins, which I don't understand why. There was no one there getting pizzas. The pizza was tasteless and extremely disappointing since it was over $20. My daughter, who will eat anything (including live sand crabs as a 2 year old), ate 2 bites and said she was done. I've never seen her not eat pizza. The sauce had NO flavor. The pepperoni was decent. The cheese was less than impressive. The pizza dough and crust was good, since I like that kind of crust. Not one person of the 4 of us finished their slice of pizza. Great topping selection and really cool pie combos. Was hoping crust would be crispier, or even crispy at all but was pretty damn floppy. Like very floppy, needs to have some crisp to it.. very disappointed for a wood fired pizza. Sauce is tangy and really good but too much cheese to really let it shine, also seems to weigh down the pizza too much. Would order here again maybeee. but maybe ask for a crispier pie? Idk.
