My sister was telling me about this spot, noting that it was quite popular. We were in the area and we decided to stop by. Getting there was not really an issue, parking was fairly easy. You can park in the underground parking garage, grab a ticket. You can get a validation stub from inside which you use when exiting. I think the validation lasts for 90 minutes, in case you wanted to grab a bagel and chill for a while. Place was very close to the parking garage on the ground level. It seemed bright and open, modern and unique. They had some specialty items on the right hand side that you could purchase. (coffee, balsamic, other unique selected items) Their menu consisted of different kind of bagels, with different kinds of schmears. They also had some specialty items like the lox bagel, pepperoni pizza bagel, Kbbq, fruit, poke, smash burger. They definitely had some unique flavors at this place. I ended up getting a furikake bagel with green onion cream cheese. 4/5 3 cookies: Ube Blueberry Snickerdoodle: 4/5 This one had the best chewiness to it. Yuzu Poppyseed Snickerdoodle: 4/5 The yuzu flavor was delicious. Salted Caramel: 5/5 This one had big chunks of chocolate and the sea salt was perfect. For the furikake bagel, it was not bad, it seemed jammed packed outside with seeds etc. It was good, but it didn't quite make me think of furikake. I expected more seaweed. Do I think this is the best bagel I've had? No, but all of it put together was tasty. The green onion schmear was really good. It was packed with a lot of slivers of green onion. It was served toasted, the schmear was melty and good. If you think this is just a sprinkle of green onions, it is not. If you love green onion, you'll enjoy this one. Decent bagels but the real star is their cream cheese. I really enjoyed how creative they were especially with the ube, yuzu and fried chicken. Their chicken bake was very similar to the Costco chicken bake with more chicken. However, for the price point, the Costco chicken bake is a more economical deal. Very nice staff and they validate 90 minutes. You do have to park in the structure as it's in those business complexes. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating.
This was my first time visiting and it was great ! The man taking our orders was very helpful when we had questions about the bagels and schmears. The poke bagel was so good! We got it on a furikake bagel with the sesame shoyu poke. It had so much poke on it! I also loved the cucumber and the imitation crab on it. I have never had anything like this. The tomato bagel was also good. I got it with the pista pesto schmear. The schmear was amazing, it complimented the tomato really well. I also appreciated how the tomato was seasoned and I liked the thinly sliced onions on it. I would definitely like to go back to try different things!
First time here, you can park in the parking structure and they validate your ticket for you! It was a little hard to find due to many of the business signages being harder to see against the building color, but we found it, woohoo! We ordered 2 lox bagels on everything, 1 asian chicken salad on everything, 1 pb&j on cinnamon raisin, and 1 pepperoni pizza bagel - Lox: as some reviewers have mentioned, the citrus cure seemed to overpower the lox flavor/left us wanting more prevalent smoked salmon flavor. Capers would've been a great garnish. Tomatoes were fresh and juicy, pickled onions add a punch - Asian Chicken Salad: chicken was cooked great (not over or rubbery at all!), we all shared this one and we all were wanting more allium flavors or maybe even more salt- cilantro, more onions diced in, more green onions diced in, would've REALLY made the flavors pop. 2 friends out us 4 ranked this the least favorite. - PB&J: the surprise winner, it was delicious and really hit the spot! A friend was worried the cinnamon raisin would be way too sweet but nope, she said it was balanced and greatly made - Pepperoni Pizza Bagel: LOVED the crispy pepperoni cups. Ranch dip is a must and the hot honey was a favorite among our friends, I opted to enjoy it with just ranch. It made me want red pepper flakes + parmesan cheese so this was also a great bagel. - Bagels were on the lighter side which I personally like because I can enjoy cream cheese + toppings more. Many bagelries I've been to have thick bagels, which is great, but I get stuffed from all the dough (lol!), so I enjoyed the lighter bagels here, but they did seem a little over toasted, as in crisper/harder. Really wanted to share our honest experience here with the bagel flavors as Rise has gotten so popular. As few have mentioned, for the price, more exceptional flavor was anticipated, so it was a true 3.5/5 experience for me personally. They also do not allow any modifications whatsoever at all. We got there late, they close at 2 pm, but they let us know we can stay to eat, but we didn't want to keep them waiting due to us late stragglers so we went outside to eat and it was beautiful and really nice! Ample seating, beautiful view, just the occasional water sprinkling from the fountain(?) got on us and our bagels lol!
Very unique and tasty bagel options. I've never had poke or chicken salad on a bagel and i was pleasantly surprised at how good it tasted! The bagel texture is also soft and chewy. I would definitely come back to try the other menu items. The service is quick and the workers are friendly. Good amount of seating inside and outside. It's located inside an office building area. FYI- they validate parking if you park in the parking structure right next to the restaurant.
Came on a sat afternoon & there was a pretty long line. A worker came by to give us a sample of pog juice which I thought was nice! We got the Egg Sando & Kbbq. Both were so good! I do wish the Egg Sando had a bit more salt, but that's just my preference. I loved the flavor of the kbbq, the kimchi & cucumber gave the sandwich a nice tangy taste. They also offer parking validation, so make sure to ask!
Absolute game-changer for the OC bagel scene! I am completely obsessed with Rise Bagels. They are completely reinventing what a bagel can be. The hand-rolled dough is perfectly crispy on the outside and soft and chewy on the inside. I tried their viral Tokyo 7/11 egg salad bagel with a jammy egg, and it blew my mind! The flavor combinations are so creative and absolutely delicious --especially the KBBQ, the smash burger, and the strawberry bagel. I couldn't choose a favorite; I would honestly get them all again, and I also want to try the rest of their menu as well as their desserts! The ingredients are clearly super fresh and high-quality and the staff is beyond friendly, attentive, and wonderful. Do yourself a favor and get a guava drink or matcha drink too! Highly recommend checking them out. You won't be disappointed. The location is gorgeous to sit outside and it's super aesthetic and clean inside. I was catching up with a friend, and they were so sweet and didn't rush is out. They validate parking which is super nice, but I was actually able to park in the free visitor 2 hour parking without a problem on a Saturday afternoon.
Talk about ba-GOALS! As someone who's tried quite a bit of the LA bagel scene, I was so excited to try @risebagels - the newest concept from Chef John Park and Jeff Tran, and you can definitely tell the love and care they pour into their business with their thoughtful menu and personable customer service. Their menu specializes in small-batch, hand-rolled, boiled bagels baked fresh daily, with creative takes on cream cheese schmears (including ube, tom yum curry, yuzu, chili crisp and more!), as well as innovative, elevated bagel sandwiches. My favorites were their poke and lox bagels, which feature VERY fresh fish, as well as their new birria bagel sandwich, comes with birria, Fritos, taco toppings, and even consome to dip! Despite just opening half a year ago, Rise is already making waves -- recently winning a (in my opinion) very well-deserved Best of the West and Most Creative at Bagel Fest! Definitely make sure to check them out if you're in the Irvine area for some of the BEST bagels I've had in OC!

Seems to be a Korean fusion bagel sandwich shop in an upscale business complex by the equinox. Parking is a bit tricky. You need to make sure you park at the structure closest to the shop to be able to get validation. If you go across where I happened to, it was couple of bucks per hour I believe. The menu has unique items like a kimchi bagel and interesting savory sandwich options. The worker told me the egg salad is one of the most popular so tried that along with the kbbq option. It's very filling so definitely shareable. Egg salad was pretty good and the furikake bagel it comes with is unique but it was a bit too much furikake for me. Kbbq was a bit too salty and messy to enjoy honestly but it wasn't bad taste. Other than that, I'm a bit disappointed in the bagels. To me, it's not a bagel. It doesn't have that same springy chew to it, so it definitely doesn't seem to be boiled before baking. Most likely just baked. But even baked bagels have a certain texture and taste? This almost felt like French bread. Feels misleading as a bagel shop but I get it that they are probably trying to do something unique here. It definitely is unique but just not to my taste.
I really like the location of the store, huge patio area, and they do parking validations. The bagel was super solid, they definitely load up on the toppings. But the bagel itself, not sure if it was just mine but it was a little bit tough, not the best I've ever had but I love that they have fun bagel flavors like furikake! The poke was definitely my favorite, it tasted extremely fresh and flavorful. Definitely recommend it
I've tried a lot of bagel spots, but Rise Bagels in Irvine really stands out. I've had both the One Fish and the Tokyo 7/11, and they each bring something unique to the table. As someone who loves a good lox bagel, the One Fish was a highlight for me. The yuzu kosho adds this light, citrusy kick that makes the whole thing feel super fresh and balanced. Overall, I love supporting Asian owned businesses, and this is definitely one bagel spot to keep on your radar if you're in Irvine! :D

Wanted to try this asian fusion bagel place with some unique twists. The staff was very nice and helpful. I got the get jjigae with it on sesame bagel for myself, Togo two fish on a furikake bagel for my husband. My friend got the tokyo 24/7 one and she loved it! She finished the entire thing and said she would come back to try the other flavors! We also tried their blueberry yuzu lemonade which was super refreshing and light 5/5! Get Jjigae with it was a 4/5 for me. It was a kimchi bulgogi egg bagel sandwich with so much flavor and depth, I love that they added perilla leaf but it was hefty so I could only finish half of it before I was done. It was a pretty messy bagel to eat since the inside kept sliding around with each bite and I wished they cut it in half before serving it. It would've been good for a later lunch or dinner meal! The Two Fish on furikake was a 5/5! It had smoked salmon and dashi marinated salmon roe. I took it Togo for my husband and we both tried it about 5 hours later after putting it in the fridge and it was still surprisingly delicious! It wasn't heavy at all! Even though it was for my husband, I ate a quarter of it because it was so good. I hope they open on weekends soon! read more
I was excited for this spot to open because we can always use another coffee source in the plaza and somewhere we can grab a quick bite that works for breakfast or lunch. The staff here was very friendly and willing to answer questions and recommendations. The menu was extensive with some very interesting fusion options which tend to be a hit or miss so I played it safe and got the cheddar bagel with green onion schmear with a cup of their house blueberry yuzu lemonade to go. Not to be dramatic but the bagel changed my life. It was so chewy and crispy also? I hate when bagels cool down and get gummy and gross after a while. But this bagel which I had over 3-4 hours (eating in between having to work) was perfect from the first bite when it was nice and toasty to the last when it was cold. The lemonade was also the perfect balance of flavor and sweet, like.. nothing overpowered the other it all melded into the perfect sip all the way to the last drop If their "simplest" items were this good I can't imagine how much better the other stuff will be! The prices are reasonable for the quality and portion. So I am 100% coming back to try everything on the menu just you wait! read more

Please be advised this place is not open on weekend mornings at 830am. I did not see any business hours listed on the store window. You'd think a bagel store would want to sell bagels for breakfast. Parking was very expensive for me to find out the store was shuttered. That said the place looked clean. There is ample parking, but you have to pay for parking. read more

Some of the BEST bagels I've ever had! My friends and I tried the Tokyo 7/11, the One Fish and Farmer John bagels and they were all amazing! I couldn't choose a favorite because they all tasted so good and everything was perfectly made with so much care! It was also so cool to see unique, Asian-inspired flavors. Service was absolutely amazing, everyone was so friendly and welcoming. They took the time to answer all of our questions and explained the menu to us, which we really appreciated! Honestly, I have nothing but great things to say about Rise Bagels! Can't wait to come back again soon to try the other items on their menu!! Sooooooo good!!!! Ambiance is great, staff is great, and the bagels were phenomenal. Got the Tokyo on the furikake bagel, the one fish on cheddar, and the BLT on cheddar. Everything was good but the one fish is what stole the show for me. The citrus element from the lemon schmear and yuzu onion really tied everything together. Cured lox over smoked any day. If you are into new and creative food, this bagel place is for you. OMG re the Tokyo 7/11 and Two Fish open-faced bagels. The bagels are soft and favorful and the toppings are yummilicious (yes, I'm creating a new word). Had the Tokyo 7/11 on a salt bagel. The creamy egg (which was perfectly done) played well with the salt in the bagel. Had the Two Fish bagel on a furikaki bagel (genius). Each component was amazing and together was so delicious. The ikura was light and flavorful (honestly, they were so good I ate them all separate from the bagels, oops) and the smoked salmon was lightly cured. Note: I would recommend bringing a friend and ordering two different bagels to share. These bagels and toppings are pretty big. So I ate one half for breakfast and the second half for lunch. This is a must try and return, return, and return. In short, if the bagels I tried are a mere sample of how delicious the other items are on the menu, I will be back to try the rest of the menu. I'm drooling just thinking about this bagel. Bagels are some of my favorite food, and this place did not disappoint. I got the Eat Your Veggies on a furikake bagel. I had to fight the urge to get my usual everything bagel, but the furikake bagel delivered on the savory, garlicky flavor I love from the former, but a little different! The light and chewy texture of the bagel was so addicting, I easily finished my sandwich whereas other bagels can leave me feeling sluggish even after half. I also love how they work with local farms for their produce, because I feel like you can taste how fresh the ingredients are. As a tomato lover, the Eat Your Veggies hit the spot! This is different from the cream cheese stuffed, thick dense bagel that I'm used to getting, and I'm pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed it. Their place had plenty of seating as well, so I easily found a spot to sit down, get some work done, and enjoy my food. They did seem a little busy and overwhelmed at times because there were a lot of people coming in at a certain point, but the staff remained really friendly and helpful throughout. friendly service, huge menu and plenty of seating inside. we ordered the tokyo 7/11, one fish, and for the nguyen. the best sandwich was definitely the fish one, topped with smoked salmon, onions and bright notes of yuzu kosho. tokyo 7/11 was what you would expect from an egg salad inspired bagel, i wish the furikake bagel tasted more of nori. the for the nguyen bagel was the most disappointing, with soggy cucumbers and pickles and overly sweet pork mince, but to be fair it's hard to do the OG banh mi justice for fusion food. very pricey but a worthwhile experience! read more

Saw this place on social media and my husband and I just had to try it. So good! Excellent bagels but such a fun twist with toppings. I got the One Fish which puts all other salmon/lox bagels to shame, and my husband got the Tokyo 7/11 with some of the best egg salad we've ever had! We came in around 10am on a Saturday and it was just starting to get busy. Love the ambience inside/outside as well. Would absolutely come back 100/10!! read more

Clearly consistency is not a thing here at this place . My cousin's matcha latte didn't have a powdery texture but all of a sudden when you strawberry that looks like pink artificial frosting goop, you forget how to make matcha , very powdery texture. Bagel was ok , sausage egg bagel tasted like the ones you buy from the grocery or get from your school lunch. read more

The only good thing about this place is the customer service and the atmosphere. The matcha and Vietnamese coffee were so sweet and could hardly taste the coffee or matcha. The bagels are more like buns or bread. Not soft like a bagel at all. The bread was also burnt and over cooked. Definitely not worth $50 read more

Super fresh and delicious! The flavors are on point and the bagel felt light and fluffy. The salmon bagel ended up being $22 which is too expensive for a bagel in my opinion, so this probably won't be a regular spot, but great for a treat. The staff were very friendly and vibes were good. read more

We found Rise Bagels on TikTok and decided to try it out and we're so glad we did. Everything looked super fresh and as bagel lovers, this spot totally hit the spot. We ordered two of their open faced bagels. The first one we got was the Tokyo 7 Eleven, which has egg salad and chives. It seemed like it was inspired by the egg sandwiches from convenience stores in Japan, and since we had just come back from Japan, we can confirm that it really did taste just like the egg salad there. Our favorite though was the One Fish open face. It was so fresh and so flavorful. The fish was really good, the pickled onion and dill added the perfect flavor, and the bagel itself had the best texture. We got both on everything bagels and they were amazing. They had samples of the yuzu lemonade when we were there and it was so refreshing. I definitely want to get a full one next time. The staff was super friendly, the shop was clean, and there's seating both inside and right outside. The area itself is also really nice with a big fountain and lots of outdoor seating if you want to hang out and eat. Parking is in the garage next to the complex but they validate so you don't have to pay. They also have a bunch of fun bagel flavors and toppings like furikake and some really creative combinations. I definitely want to go back and try more. The Pokémon one sounds so good. It is a little on the pricier side but honestly, for the quality, we think it's worth it. Such wonderful food! Had the Tokyo and Jjigae. They were sold out of all the bagels except for sesame and jalapeño cheese. Apparently, it was the first Saturday that Rise has opened. Excellent food! Flavorful and decadent. Have to park in a paid structure but validation is provided. read more

Food was AMAZING some of the most delicious and creative bagels I have ever had. I got the Tokyo 7/11 on an everything bagel and the California love on a cheddar jalapeño bagel, I think I liked the California love just a little bit more because the flavors were well balanced with the pesto and pickled shallot. The Vietnamese iced coffee was also 10/10. Service was friendly and we got our food quickly too. read more
