I went to Rise! on a Saturday morning just a little before 9 AM. There was already a wait but I was then seated out on the patio which, hey, it's a patio so obviously a nice experience to start off with. I ordered their Hazel Mushroom Hash and I couldn't stop myself from trying one of the gluten free donuts since they have them. They are available until they're gone so glad I could get there to have one and it was a white chocolate caramel and definitely yummy. The Hazel Mushroom Hash tasted great along with the toast. They provided jam which was delicious enough that I just ate it out of the cup with a spoon like it was soup. Coffee was good too. The cream for the coffee is served in small plastic cups so, of course, within seconds of receiving my coffee, I accidentally knock over the cream, spilling it on the table and seat next to me. I made efforts to clean it up until my server came by and told me they would handle it and that she spills things all the time. It's very kind of her but the last thing I want to be is a further burden during a time where restaurants are understaffed and busy. Regardless, food was great, experience on the patio was relaxing, and my server Shannon as well as the rest of the staff were very kind. I see that there is criticism of how expensive it is but, hey, it's breakfast in Fort Collins so I didn't find the prices to be so outrageous as compared to Snooze, Rainbow, or other such establishments in the city. I'll Rise! again and return to Rise! Also, the owners seem to be from Michigan given Wolverines stuff being behind the bar so as an Ohioan it says a lot that I'm giving a favorable review and will return. read more

Such a delicious and creative brunch! Loved the corn cakes with chorizo because they were like savory pancakes. The breakfast sammy was one of the best breakfast sandwiches I've had. Savory and sweet. The hashbrowns, roasted poblanos, and poblano jam in the sammy were so tasty. I would tell anyone to go here and I already want to go back. Things to note: There was a 20 minute wait for a table for 2 on Saturday around 11am. Service for us was a little slow (the table that got seated after us got to order and receive their food before our orders were taken), but the waitress was very nice, kept refilling our coffees and waters, and we could see she was juggling a lot of tables. Visiting Denver, and a local friend had been raving about this place for brunch, so we decided to give it a try for a Sunday Brunch. 3.5 rating would be more accurate. We arrived around 11:30 to a big crowd waiting outside (as expected for any Sunday brunch) through our name on the list, and waited close to 40 minutes for our table for 3. The menu itself hits all your basic brunch needs. Eggs n things, Benedicts, scrambles, pancakes, French toast, mimosas, and Bloody Marys, etc. Meal + drinks, look to spend between $15-25 per person. I went with the "Undecided" Benny. It's a half/half combo of a traditional benny (poached egg, hollandaise, Canadian bacon) and their version of Biscuits, poached egg And Sausage gravy. The bread and biscuit was toasted to perfection, nice crunch to it. The toppings on each benny were middle of the road in terms of flavor, nothing stood out, but it still tasted pretty good. The gravy cane out close to room temperature, I would've preferred it to be slightly warmer upon arrival. Their Rise Potato, I felt could've been better. The outside of it was a bit over cooked, with the inside portion undercooked, maybe it was just a bad day. Mimosas was heavier on the OJ and lighter on the champs. Overall, a nice breakfast/brunch spot to satisfy your breakfast cravings. Staff was very attentive and prompt. The decor of the place has random art that gives it a nice home style feel. I was heavily disappointed with Rise. I'll break it down below: Pros: The Stack meal was very good- the biscuits were a little stiffer, which went really well with the pork green chili and my over easy egg. I thought the pico was tasty and went well with the overall dish. Cons: The service was very poor. It took a long time to get our seat and once I sat, I saw there were 75% of the tables without food (and they weren't done eating, either). Busy breakfast places like Snooze and Lucilles probably put out twice the volume that Rise! does and they do it much quicker and more efficiently. The food took a really long time to get to us. Once we got the food, my companion's mushroom hash was burnt to hell. After we complained to the waitress and asked for another dish, she told us that was how it was supposed to be and, to add insult to injury, she later confirmed that the kitchen staff said the same thing as well. I suppose charred hash that tasted like ash is the norm for the mushroom hash dish here. I posted the picture and it was disgusting, to say the least. Overall, I would not return to Rise. They had some decent dishes and nice ideas, but there are many other breakfast places with better food quality, better service, and an overall better experience. read more

I also had a side of homemade apricot jam that would cover 1/2 a piece of bread. I also had coffee. For this, I paid $19 something. There was a 20% gratuity added on. (six in the party) The wait staff was friendly, the food beautiful to look at, the bacon tasty, the bloody mary was bad. OMG, I am thrilled to have found this GEM. I love the location, I love the place, I love the menu and the food is amazing. They offer a dish called the Undecided. So me. 1/2 eggs Benedict - 1/2 biscuit with sausage gravy and poached egg. To die Hollandaise. I am picky and this is creamy and makes my tongue happy. The gravy is wonderful as well. They have home made hot sauce. The side potato is delicious as well. I went 2 days in a row. If I lived here in FOCO I would be there every week. Go, it is great. My waitress was the best as well, I couldn't have asked for more. I love this place and want to go and try more things on their menu! Coming to a restaurant right after it opens is a bit of a gamble. Fortunately our gamble paid off and we were mightily impressed. Our friends and the hubs and I got here about 10 in the morning. The wait was about 25 minutes which we didn't think was bad at all. The decor is a little eclectic with really modern style chairs and tables and kitschy wall decor that didn't jive with the tables. The food is what really matters and wow is it delicious. We noticed and enjoyed the addition of coulis and sauces to otherwise standard breakfast fare. My friend ordered the salmon frittata that had a carrot olive oil sauce drizzled over the top. I ordered the corn cakes with house made chorizo that had a spinach drizzle. Excellent food especially the breakfast for instants like their pancake. The only disappointing time I had was when I ordered oatmeal with blueberries. They only provided me with four blueberries and when I asked for more they wouldn't do it. I was even willing to pay for it, but they said they were in short supply. My wife and I have been trying to take advantage of both kids being in school by having breakfast once a week around town. Rise was on our list and today we decided to give it a try. We walked in to a mostly empty restaurant where a sign told us to wait for a seat. A server then informed us to sit where we like. Two of three booths were dirty so we took the only open one. Our server was incredibly nice and sociable. We had looked over the menu online so we were ready to order immediately. Our Bloody Marys took a while to arrive but it seemed as if our server was the only person working so we were happy to wait. Until we tasted the Bloodys that finally came. It was like they just mixed a ton of olive juice with some tomato juice. It was, without exaggeration, the worst Bloody Mary I've ever tasted. It was literally undrinkable. As we waited for food, and waited, and waited, we noticed a cook pacing the dining room having an argument on his phone. Then we noticed another server working. And then we left without food because 30 minutes after ordering, we still had no food and the cook was still on his phone.
