After being addressed by the "bra" that pushed our check on us three times, and then was unable to split up our check appropriately, I was told not to ever expect service again. My question is.. what service? I had to ask the manager how to split up the check appropriately, and after him responding as if I were 12 and had never split up a check before, I knew I would never visit this place again. In addition, the sign out front read Happy Hour 3-6, but we were told when we entered that they "made their own rules" and there was no happy hour. I would have "Happily" spent $15 a Marg, had the service been better. But it was crap. There are defiantly better places in Breckenridge. read more

I love Rita's!! Best tacos and margaritas in town. It's a good sign when locals love it. I love the laid back vibe and the bartenders are always awesome. Definitely one of my favorite places to go in Breck. In case you're trying to decide between here and Oscar's (the other taco place in town), there was a recent case of salmonella poisoning there and they are known for long waits and terrible service (Yelp doesn't reflect this because they constantly have bad Yelp reviews removed). read more

Great happy hour taco's. Read in one review the staff was rude, everyone can have a bad day! I found the staff to be really friendly and helpful. Limited space but we had a table and a great time. I must admit Rita's was not our first voice when trying decide to grab a bite on a Sunday evening however I am certainly glad we came here!! Vibe was really upbeat and welcoming. We got bar space which is just our style! They have a happy hour on tacos too so that was cool! I like that they had some good beers on draft, not just the regular overplayed beers. One of these included an almanac Belgian extra strong pale ale, as well as an Elevation sour! Score!! I love trying new beers and this place delivered! The tacos were good. More American tacos rather than authentic but I was good with that. I got the fish tacos and the bean taco. Both were tasty, the chipotle aioli on the fish was good, and they had a pretty bomb Habanero salsa that was on point. All and all I like this little spot and would have no problem coming back here next time we are in Breck. Go in here not expecting authentic Mexican and you will not be disappointed! read more

I ordered a fish burrito and a Cadillac margarita (a premium margarita). The margarita had plenty of tequila in it, but it was so bitter that it was difficult to drink. The burrito was dry and bland. The best way to describe it is "mash potatoes wrapped in a flour tortilla. No spices, no sauce, in fact. I couldn't tell if there was any fish in it. On the plus side, the burrito was only $7. If you are looking for tequila buzz and cheap tasteless burrito, Rita's is the place for you. read more

Spent 2011 NYE's here with a group of 8 all from Los Angeles. We had plans to bar hop along Main Street in Breckenridge. Saw some crowds walk into Rita's and decided to follow. No Cover! Walked downstairs past the restaurant and to the underground bar/club. Luckily we got there around 10 pm and found a few tables available which we quickly grabbed to set up shop. Pitchers were around $20 each. Downstairs food gets cut off early but you can run upstairs, order and eat it downstairs. Grabbing a table can get tricky but be patient and you'll get one. Booths surround the restaurant with a few 4-6 table tops between the booths and bar. Table tops got removed around 10 pm for dancing and roaming room. Crowd was cool. No fights or chaos. Everyone had a great time. DJ played old school hip hop and pop. Ambience was club-like with that local hot spot feel. Food was good. We had potato skins, wings and mostly bar appetizer foods. I can't recall the order but I remember finishing it. If your group is looking for a chill spot to hang, I'd recommend Rita's for sure. read more

Omg I loved this place! It is very small but so worth it. They had great specials and specialty drinks. It's one of those hole in the walls that exceeds your expectations. There were two bartender and altho they were slammed they were super friendly and not bad looking :)! Our food came out very quickly. We ordered 7 layer dip and it was delicious. They had a taco deal so we built our own tacos and I was super impressed! This is just one of those places you have to stop by! I won't be going back this trip but i will always make appoint to get by here at least once every trip here! Great job! read more

Loved how the bartenders made us feel like locals even though it was obvious we were not (and I especially appreciate having my drink topped off when I was almost finished). Tacos and margaritas, my two favorite things in life. The sign caught our attention out front so we walked in thinking we'd find a sit down restaurant but found a small, dark, full on bar downstairs with your usual young bar crowd. I ordered a house margarita thinking " what's the chances of a messed up house margarita?" but was unpleasantly surprised. My margarita was almost too sour to drink and tasted like oranges! Where i come from, orange is not a margarita staple. To top it all off, the margarita was small. $8 for a small, nasty, orange margarita I had to force myself to drink. The ONLY reason I gave 2 stars was for their unique taco concept. I LOVED being able to create my own tacos down to the shell, sauce n fillings! Best idea ever! I had 3 tacos, all crunchy shelled, one chicken, pork, and beef. I enjoyed the beef baja and pork baja the best and the chicken gringo was nothing special. If it weren't for the tacos I enjoyed, I would not visit again. Definitely go for a margarita that doesn't taste like sour oranges! read more

Been in here before and had awesome Happy Hour tacos and margaritas...this time around that was not the case. Our service was terrible my margarita tasted like mouthwash and the server never acknowledged us we in fact had to waive him down for another margarita and to order the tacos!
