Rito's, I've heard, is amazing. Their guacamole and sangria, yes! Everything else seemed like IF I grew up with this place, I'd have a different opinion than if my first time walking in was Friday. There's slots in the back that are annoying distracting. There's giant signs everywhere featuring menu items and also a multi page menu. I was thrown off by allllll of the above, but the fun was awesome and or server Arturo was wonderful! Beware of the red salsa- it's spiiiiiicy! Arturo, more water please! Also for a party of 10, drinks and apps was just over $100. Love that!

This is a nice hidden place good food with great drinks and excellent service it's always the hole in the wall places that have the best food, drinks and service....had a peach margarita with some kinda flaming shot plus the waiter left us the whole half of bottle of vodka...lol

Cancun combination

Fun place with amazing food and margaritas. We love, love, love their food. I had Cancun combo and my husband had chicken fajita. We also had their delicious guacamole. Great time and food!!!

The receipt I left the restaurant with, my order was take out over the phone.

Has anyone ever tried their hot lava pot? I don't think it's listed on their menu?

I loooovvvveeee that dish!! I don't eat ribs or steak, so I ask for extra chorizo and chicken. I also add shrimp!! And it was a Valentines Day special years ago, then on the menu briefly. You can order it anytime now, kinda a local secret you have…

Carrie always provides us great service and had good suggestions off the menu. This visit we started with the cheese curds, they were delicious! A special thank you to our food runner who delivered the food fresh and hot! Carrie recommended the Prime Rib dip and what a great choice that was, my coworker went with the breakfast burger which he loved. Never had a bad anything here, McBrides is Great!

McBride's North is one of several locations so you can check out and compare these. Certainly seems like a place to come for a gathering. There's plenty of tables as well as TVs for watching games and whatever kinds of sports. Beers and other alcoholic beverages are why you come to an Irish pub of course. It's got a few deals going on. There's of course the Guinness on tap. Can't go wrong with it. Saturdays it's $6 a pint. As for the food, it's basic. It's $7 to get a few of the Pretzel Sticks. Could be the healthiest food here. These are topped with garlic butter and salt, and served with bistro sauce and nacho cheese, but I got mine without the butter and had mustard. Have to say it's a lot better than expected. It's got lots of specials that help save money for more to get drunk on. The food is okay while being pretty meaty, with bangers and mash types of things, but they also have pretzels.

HOP-LITE Just as the…read morefoot soldiers of ancient Greece wielded a spear & shield, Spartan Ale House charges into battle with a pint of beer &....a cheese brick?? After driving past this sports bar on Route 59 many times over the years, I finally came here with my wife for a quick dinner date. The venue itself is cool and the building has some funky features to it, like a castle turret on the outside façade. Inside, it's nice and spacious. Almost TOO spacious. Their $5 draft-of-the-month was a Goose Island pocket pilsner. My wife got a few pints of Bells Oberon (which is in season now!) for $7.50/ea. It wasn't very busy so our server was able to bring out two more rounds in a timely manner, however they never gave us water. Spartan cheese bricks (5 for $15) are much larger than your standard mozza stick. Squares of 1/2" thick mozzarella are deep fried in a tempura-like batter and served with marinara; we loved this variation on a classic bar bite. The Greek-style chicken skewers ($15) were tasty, they came with tzadziki and pita wedges. As much as we enjoyed the fried pickles ($12), the cayenne ranch dipping sauce was overpowering. Whoever made that batch did so with a very heavy hand on the seasoning, and after one bite I looked at my wife to say "uhhh honey FYI, they went way too hard on the cayenne". One brief coughing fit later, she agreed. Bread = 4 Circuses = 4 There's your typical array of large TV's showing all manner of sports, and I appreciated them flying collegiate flags representing the original Big Ten lineup (none of this Rutgers or UCLA crap). I can definitely see myself coming back to watch Boilermaker basketball or one of Purdue's early season football games on their outdoor patio. * TL;DR * Naperville may have over 260 places to dine at, but Spartan Ale House is worth checking out. The daily drink specials are great, so even if $6 Moscow Mule Mondays aren't your bag, there's $4 pint Tuesdays and $5 bloody mary's on the weekend (plus $3 domestic bottles Sat-Sun). The food we tried was better than average and I'm looking forward to getting a burger next visit. Cool place, definitely recommended.

I've personally always wanted to come here since I've passed it up along Route 59 a lot. Staff here was very friendly, food and drinks here were a little pricey. They do have good drink specials if you come here on certain days. This place was very well themed for St Patrick's Day. It was basically dead throughout the midday on a Saturday but maybe a different story during different hours.

Other restaurants need to do this as we were blinded at a bar nearby days before. I digress. CJ was our awesome bartender, super attentive and friendly and made the best lavender drop. I started with the salted watermelon margarita, which was tasty and refreshing with a nice fruity flavor. It wasn't overly strong, making it easy to sip throughout the meal. For appetizers, we shared the spinach dip, calamari, and buffalo bites. The spinach dip was good, and the chips had a nice salty crunch. The calamari was pretty standard, but there was way too much breading, the squid-to-breading ratio was way off. For my entrée, I ordered the steak bowl. Unfortunately, it wasn't that great. The menu description mentioned quinoa and brown rice, but they were practically nonexistent. There were maybe a few grains of brown rice in the entire dish, and it mostly consisted of a handful of steak cubes and vegetables. The flavor and sauce were good, but it wasn't very filling. Thankfully, I had already filled up on the appetizers. For dessert, I tried the crème brûlée cheesecake. Honestly, it was nothing special and tasted like a thawed frozen cheesecake with some cheap berry compote on the side. Overall, Yard House is a fine option for hosting large groups thanks to its spacious setup, but I wouldn't come here expecting amazing food. The experience was fine, but the food itself was pretty average at most.
