The food was very good. Skirt steak was awesome. Being there on margarita Thursday didn't hurt... I shall return.

Tasty and strong margaritas. Queso fundido was also worth the trip. My guisado de res was pretty mediocre though, and the service was just a tad under the radar. Her enchiladas con mole were quite good. I read about tableside service of guacamole on weekends but not this Sunday. Overall decor and especially the restrooms (you can't afford a mirror, really?) left a bit to be desired. When getting into Rito's there was a couple different groups of people waiting to be seated...we all waited about 5-7 minutes no greeting, servers staring at us like we were aliens...there was no host/hostess to be found and no direction if we had to seat ourselves. So after waiting for 5-7 minutes me and my family decided to find a table ourselves...we sat. After sitting for a couple minutes again no greeting or anything this "peach" of a woman comes up and brings 2 menus (there is 4 of us) and 2 cups of water and we ask is there a hostess the woman scuffed and said she was putting together a table for a party...okay. Well we finally order, about 20 minutes later we get our food...or so we thought. The gentleman proceeds to put fajitas in front of me, and then proceeds to serve the rest of my family...turns out he had The completely wrong table! So he takes the fajitas and apologizes and then serves the same fajitas that were sitting in front of me to another table!! We had to continue asking for waters when we finished them. The food was average at best. 15 minutes after we were presented the wrong food our actually food arrived, they forgot my tortillas when bringing the fajitas and we had to again ask for the tortillas. it wasn't busy when we arrived but the place was packed when we left. We get the bill and leave. Overall we were not impressed and won't be returning..the service was poor and the price was extravagant. There are much better Mexican joints in the area. read more

Have been to every Mexican restaurant in the western subarbs and this one is the best, hands down. The food is fresh and always very tasty and the drinks are perfect every time. The prices are lower then most and the service is great. What more can you ask for. The only bad thing is the chairs are uncomfortable, but I'll deal with it for the food. Follow up: They have let their standards go and are no longer serving fresh food. That's really too bad because I really liked it. read more

This place is great, but the wait was very long and it's pretty crowed, but that's what happens with flaming margaritas and great food. People want it. I was very impressed with Ritos. The staff is cool and the food is reasonable, but the drinks are expensive. What was cool was after we paid the bill the waiter gave us all a free shot of our choice on the house. Horrible! I ordered the steak taco meal with corn tortillas. When they bring my families food out everyone's order is wrong. I tell him I ordered corn tortillas and he tells me that it's flour. That is what is written down. I tell him that I ordered corn. They take all our food back and we wait and wait. When the food comes out AGAIN mine is flour tortillas. So I send it back again. They don't listen to their customers. When my food came back the third time it was correct but by this time my entire family was done eating so I took it to go. So upset I wasn't even hungry. No apologies from them whatsoever. Very rude service. Bye bye Ritos. I'll never eat there again and be treated like a nobody. read more

What a little gem! Thank goodness there's a great little mexican joint right by our new house. They serve tableside guacamole made to order, which is great way to start any meal! Holy Mole!!! Heard a lot of buzz about this place and based on how busy it was so have others. The decor is nice, the place is clean and well decorated. Let me begin by saying the Margaritas (rocks/salt) are outstanding there is no question about that if thats what you're looking for you came to the right place. Regarding the food its hit or miss with big hits and big misses so you need to know what to order. Tamales - yuck! Chile-Relleno - Yum. Tacos- eh. Chimichanga's - very good. Quesadillas-awful- Enchiladas - not bad. Where they really score is the Mole and a good Mole goes a long way. This is possibly one of the best Mole's I've ever had. That being said if it wasnt for the service I might of even thrown this place 4-stars even with the yucky tamales but the service was downright bad. We sat for over 10 minutes with out even being approached by a waiter even though they were running right past us. Not even a "sorry we'll be right with you". They were busy and they obviously need to staff better so this doesnt happen but when I approached the counter to ask a question the waiters there plain ignored me until I interrupted them. They need some serious customer service training to up the ante here. I'm going back for a Margarita and some Mole. Hopefully they fix the service and the tamales. read more

I ordered a burrito, 3 tacos and chips. The sour cream was globbed at one end of the burrito and it had tomatoes which I said to exclude. The extra cheese on the tacos I ordered was very little and should be what normal amounts of cheese look like. They forgot my chips and I called the restaurant and the young girl said, "oh yeah, their right here do you want to pick them up"? I didnt live close so I had to pick up later and she said ok, uh huh. Waiting for some sort of sorry, I didn't get one and when I said no problem thank you she said uh huh. Worst hostess ever on Saturday night. My wife and I arrived at around 7:30. Waited 5 minutes for the hostess to even appear. After the hostess told us the wait would be about 20 minutes, we ended up waiting in the bar area for an hour. When I finally decided to find out what the delay was, the hostess rudely said that our name was not on the wait list. Like it was somehow my fault she failed to put us on the list. One of the most obnoxious people I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with in any type of business. This is my fav for lunch. I call then pick up for work. I have brought my husband here he loved it. Been with him twice. Margaritas are big and very good. Every time there I get a combo plate and bring home extra for lunch. I like the steak tacos. But the Chili Releno stuffed and fried pepper is delish. Never had one thought would be hot but it isn't. Don't like the salsa mild is just tomato soup and medium is spicy. Can be crowded on special days. Haven't had any problems with service. read more

Our family has been going there for over 5 years at a minimum of once a month. So I guess you can say we love it. Love the food, fresh guac, awesome Rito's special rita, atmosphere, service has been friendly & fantastic. Sad to see some low reviews, they should give it a second chance. This place can get real busy (I guess because everyone likes it) and you can expect a slower service, but not to deserve a low review because of it. Keep it up Ritos! HORRIBLE SERVICE. at the very least never order takeout. Your order is a bother and will be cared for way after the dine in.. i ordered just tacos. Fine. Needed soup for my sick daughter told 30minutes????? Fine i'll wait. Go to the bar part and decide to have drinks while i wait,if i can get served. The bartender ignores me. I try to get his attention,he's running all over the place. I see he sits a couple cleans their table and i figure i'm next. NOPE. Great hidden jewel in the area. Hidden in a strip mall most people would think twice about coming here but what a GREAT place this is. Food is excellent, prices are fantastic, the bar is stocked with top shelf liquor but on a Saturday night it appears the bar and dining area are understaffed. Went to Ritos today for lunch. It was after 1:30, so post lunch rush and pre dinner rush. I was on the phone when I walked in and sat myself as the place was empty. They brought water and chips as I continued my call. Ten minutes later I was done and the waiter promptly came over to take my order. The lunch menu is quite simple: I ordered two steak tacos with rice and beans. Also ordered the middle Margarita- 26oz. It is $9 but on Thursdays they are $5! I conducted two conference calls in the nearly empty restaurant. The staff is attentvie but courteous. Juan was my server and he did a nice job, and was pleasant to speak to. I understand how things might get busy on a weekend as they have 100 seats and the arrangement is tight in the front dining section. A nice lunch experience. read more

Ritos serves the best frozen margaritas! Mango mixed with strawberry flavor is my favorite! The waiters are so nice and we were seated right away upon arrival despite the busy atmosphere. Once again I went to Rito's and I was overcharged for what I order. This has happened before, more than once to me and I have dealt with it assuming is was just an error. This time, I was not happy being over charged, as I tried to discuss the problem with the server he thought that serving me another drink was the solution for over charging the bill. Not the best solution. (I can only guess they send a lot of drunk people out to drive their cars like it doesn't matter. i would suggest that if you visit Rito's you make sure they don't try to over charge you. I really don't like giving bad reviews but this isn't the first time this has happened so I doubt that it won't happen again or that it does't happen to others. The table side guacamole was amazing, I could have just eaten a large bowl for my meal! Our 6 year old loved the mild salsa too. My husband enjoyed the piñata platter and I thought the Rito's platter was a great way to sample a variety of food. I could not finish I was so full! What a great meal!
