The salon is very clean and has good covid protection measures in place. Staff is super friendly and professional. I got a pedicure and they did a great job. Probably the cleanest nail salon in the immediate area. I'm not just talking clean by inspector standards. No scuff marks on the walls (usually from manicure chair backs. That's a pet peeve of mine. They also don't start speaking to each other in another language when you are trying to relax in your spa chair. One time my polish started coming off after one day. I've been here several times and have brought my GF here with me to try it out too. For a weekend it's on the "other end" of Irvine for me, but it's worth the drive. As others have mentioned, this place is clean, and more spa-like than most nail places, They really work hard to keep up the "Salon" aesthetic. Also as other have mentioned, they really pay attention to detail, no pressure for add ons, and don't talk that much. I love that they don't talk amongst each other too often. No sh*t talking, or at least they're not obvious about it. The girls will talk to you a little here and there, but mostly let you be if you're reading or have your eyes closed. Been going here for over a year. Could probably find a better place if I tried but know their work and don't want to risk getting a botched mani and pedi. Typical nail salon...women talking in Vietnamese and always answering their personal phone calls. They are pretty big on selling additional items and it gets pretty irritating when you're asked 5 times over the course of what little down time you have to treat yourself if you want to add an arm wax to your mani/pedi. Ummm, no, thank you. Will also try to push the new OPI gel manicure on you. Unless you have very weak nails already, DON'T DO IT. When you realize you don't have time to come in and sit in a chair for an hour (no lie) every 2 weeks you will want it taken off for good. It's a lie when they say your nails will not be damaged. I've always had strong nails with natural white tips and once I took the gel off for good my nails were paper thin and peel for weeks! Pricing is pretty standard for what I've seen in the area. Top coat clearly (pun) didn't make it on somehow...probably because the nail tech didn't do it? Again super disappointed it's only been a week. If I could give this place zero stars I would. All I did was open a door and my thumb fell off and now I just scratched my arm and my middle finger nail fell off. I don't know what quality of nails they have over there but it must be very cheap or their technicians don't have the proper training. When I was getting my nails done I would keep having to point out mistakes to the girl I forgot her name it was either molly or holly I don't remember but I pointed out about 4 mistakes like how the shapes of all my nails were uneven and she kept a rolling her eyes like I'm getting it for free. I'm the end I paid $95 for a fill and pedicure.... Too Overpriced for such a horrible job they didn't even get rid of my real nail growing underneath with I pointed out to her to file off and she just rushed it and her attitude was so bad I just ignored it and left it alone. Came in for a basic manicure and pedicure for myself and a manicure for my friend. They did a mediocre job. My nails came out uneven and my nails only partially buffed. They rushed every thing, I was in and out in 20 minutes. They upsold me on callous removal, which was fine but they seemed put out that I wouldn't pay for a longer massage - the standard massage was meh. Came home and refiled my nails. read more

I had a great time getting pampered this morning at ritz nails! I'm just visiting and needed a new set and a pedicure. I walked in and they took me in 5mins. Like anyone, visiting a new salon always makes me a bit nervous...I wasn't sure how much they charged or if they would do my nails to my idea of perfection. I came in for a fill but ended up getting a new set, They did my nails (acylic) and pedicure at the same time & i LOVE the way my nails look!! I am beyong happy with my nails, it was filed perfectly the colour is just what i wanted and she didnt take very long either considering she had to first take off my old set. As for my pedicure, she did a great job at everything except when she was scrubbing my heel, she scrubbed to hard and gave my foot a pretty bad burn, which i didnt notice till later in the day, and she sliced my toe while scrubbing my toes. So my advise would be to let them know to to scrub gently or not to long. otherwise, I am VERY VERY happy! The lady's were very sweet and the salon was very clean. alos, pricing to my suprise was very very resonable compared to where i live. lets just say i was able to give a big tip because the total was pretty cheap. Since having two very bad experiences with nail salons in San Diego I was hesitant to go to another one. So I was super nervous going here to get my nails done. On top of that my friend said I should try acrylic nails. Yikes! Upon entering the shop the lady greeted us and quickly seated us. My friend and I both got mani/pedis. When I put my feet in the water it the burning hot, but they quickly turned down the temperature. The lady who started to do my manicure talked me into just doing a gel French manicure because it's more natural looking. At least that's what she said. I thought they were pretty gentle on my hands and feet. I flinched when the lady kinda stabbed my toe a little, luckily no bleeding. Overall my nails came out nice. And they massage your arms and legs which is nice. For 65.00, which includes tip, I thought it was a bit pricey. My friend ended up getting the acrylic nails with black glitter. They did turn out really nice and so did her French pedicure. But for 75.00 dollars I don't think it's worth it. The place was clean. And right after the ladies were done taking care of my nails they went to work sterilizing their tools. So that was somewhat of a relief. My boyfriend and I came here because it was conveniently located in the area we were running several errands. They took us in right away and I liked that they made sure to accommodate us by doing their best to have us sit next to each other. I really liked the spa chairs. They were big and comfy. I wish I can give a 2.5 star rating because 3 stars is too high and 2 is too little. The lady who was doing my manicure was nice, she tried to have fun conversation with me...I liked her efforts. The thing that really gives me a bad impression is her horrible manicure job! I asked her to cut my nails short, she cut and filed them so short that it hurt. I love this place!! It's clean, always accommodate me especially if I call in advance that I'm coming! I've been a regular for over 2 years and I always leave happy with my treatment and nails! Generally, if your gel manicure is chipping earlier than 2 weeks it's because the brand chosen isn't the best quality. They will always redo chipped gel for free of it's been less than 2 weeks! Just go in and tell them!! They have done some major upgrades this year: new massage chairs (!!) and nicer more comfortable chairs for the manicurists. Nina is my favorite for manicure now since I discovered Kim for pedicure. Kim's massage is the BEST. Kenny is only avail on weekends but he's a perfectionist and will always do an awesome job. This nail salon is open till 730 when all other nail salons in the area close at 6 or 7, and this is the reason I went to this nail salon, even though I live / work about 30 min away. This place did agree to take me a few minutes before closing. This place is in a decent location at the district center in Tustin. BUT... I was asked to pay before painting and then was told after I had paid, it was $5 more because I only wanted the tips of my nails painted. When I pulled out my credit card they asked me if I had cash for tip. I explained I only had $2 in cash on me so the manicurist said ok give me $2 cash and I will put the other $3 of tip on card. This is a HUGE pet peeve of mine- when they don't want to have to pay proper taxes on their tips so they try to scam the government by collecting "cash only" tips so they can claim they are making less money. I pay taxes on my money so why shouldn't you?? And the top coat was put on so thick my nails smudged 30 minutes later. Then the next day 7 nails popped off... yes.. 7 nails popped off!! I never imagined they would be popping off a day later. I called the manager of the salon and told them I need them to fix my nails and that I would be coming in to get them fixed that day. He agreed to fix them for free, although he told me it was probably my fault for getting a fill instead of a new set. They did stay open late to fix my nails that night, which I appreciate, and the manicurist was nice enough, but they suggested I upgrade to gel so my nails would last longer. The last thing I want to do after having 7 nails pop off in 1 day is pay even more. read more

So I had came here after work to let the traffic die down because I unfortunately live in the IE. I had this design I wanted to try because i use to do acrylic nails a lot. Idecided to take a break so its been months since ive been back at a nail salon. I saw a design i liked and asked if they can do it. They told me yes, but seemed worried. I mentioned if its too tough we don't have to do it. Anyways i was orginally going to do gel, but they mentioned dipping is healthier for nails ($5 more). I agreed to this option. At the end of dipping she took out a thin brush and drew lines on my nails. Obviously the picture has a technique that she did not apply. She was also laughing as she was doing these lines on my nails. Making me feel as if she knew that what she was producing was nothing like what i wanted. The customer next to me wanted to see how they came out and even she looked shocked at the outcome but said nicely, "they look cute..". The lady who did my nails i did not get her name but she has a rose tattoo on her shoulder. I paid $50 for a design thats worth $30. I did not want to argue or cause a scene so i left her a $3 tip and walked. She did ask how i liked it? And i said its not what I wanted. An complained that the design is different because my nail is round. Don't understand how lines can change due to that. I gave it two stars because i did like the dipping technique and how it looks. Super disappointed in this outcome. It seems like lines i use to do when i was in middle school trying to do my nails. Not worth the money!!!!! Angela and Lynn worked with me, and honestly I've never had a better mani/pedi experience! I was not expecting that! Wha a pleasant surprise!! Beautiful job on my nails, extra time on every step, very kind and knowledgeable staff, clean, and every other facility throws one of those 5 second massages in, this place gives you a truly relaxing massage! I went in for a mani/pedi. The pedicure was nice but I got acrylic tips for the mani and they were all crooked. Stopped going there but then the other day I went in to get an acrylic removal (had gotten them elsewhere) and they completely damaged my nails in the removal process. Left some of the coating in some areas, while others were shaved down so severely that they were painful and raw. They also nicked me. I had 2 different gals work on the removal, they switched halfway, and both weren't friendly and seemed to be in a hurry. They didn't care about my nails, they seemed only to care about finishing the removal to start working on someone else. Never going back here. read more
