Visited a couple of times while I was living in Philly, from what I remember their banh mi were also pretty good. Pretty good place to study/work as well, they have two large table, a handful of small tables, and a bar section. On my recent visit in July 2026 it looks like they limit their wifi to 2 hours on the weekends and 4 hours on weekdays (sad to see since I don't remember this being a thing a couple years ago, but makes sense because they seem to be a lot busier now).

They have lots of coffee, but I can't speak to it as I've only had coffee here twice, long ago. Soup-wise, they usually have at least three types ready to go. Choose your preference, pick a size, and pick a side (bread or Utz chips). I usually get soup to go, and chips (because Utz). They're open early (6:30am), but soup's isn't ready until 8am. Soup flavors rotate. If you see them, my favorites are their shrimp and corn chowder, and their Thai soup. There are multiple Passero's, but I've only been to this one. (Been coming here since 2023!) Friendly service every time I'm here. Credit cards accepted.

Shop overall is small, but does have some good counter seating, stools with no backs, outlets, and solid wi-fi. Did some reading and working throughout the morning, and saw all of the usual suspects come through: a fire crew, fitness moms with their newborn babies, the local elderly couple just here for black coffee, etc. Seems like a good trickle, but never supremely busy (pun intended) at any given time. Smooth jazz on the speakers today also made working pretty sweet! Staff don't seem the friendliest but not outright rude, but they were professional and prompt. Good enough for me! As for the coffee, it was solid, but nothing that I'd go out of my way for. Just had a latte with regular milk, and it was a good compliment to working. Overall, given the difficulty of access, I'm probably not going out of my way to stop by. But for a good cup of coffee if I'm in the area, happy to revisit.
