No thanks.
This is very clearly a tourist-trap place that gets by mostly on serving busloads of Asian tourists mediocre food who don't know better because they don't have Western cuisine often, if at all.
IIRC, I got a 4-course(?) prix fixe menu. Started off with pate foie gras and some side salad thing, escargot, steak and fries, then finally something for dessert but if I'm being honest I don't remember what it was. Clearly it didn't leave a strong impression on me.
My main complaint is the steak. I get that a ~30ish Euro prix fixe menu isn't going to buy a fantastic porterhouse, NY strip, or ribeye, but for real this was a pretty sad cut of beef that I kicked myself for ordering in the first place. Ordered it medium rare and even then the meat itself was such poor quality it was unchewable and pretty much all gristle. A couple of my fellow tour-bus compatriots (actual Asian-from-Asia, not Asian-American) were talking about how they don't understand why people like steak because every time they have it, it's always like this- dry and unchewable. And for them, my heart breaks, because even a $10 8-ouncer from Red Lobster or Sizzler would be a better steak experience than this.
In fairness, the duck breast and salmon entrees the rest of my family got were loads better, so I can't bag on this place too much, because the service was friendly enough (the waiter guy knew a couple super-accented Mandarin phrases. Not bad), and the restaurant was clean.
But, bottom line, if you come here definitely don't get the steak. read more
