    Whipped Feta Dip

Lovely spot in downtown Crystal River. The atmosphere was nice inside, with a decently sized bar and flatscreen adjacent to the main dining room. We sat outside and enjoyed the waterfront view of the bay. Service was excellent, everyone was friendly and welcoming. Food came quickly and portions were generous. Our server Lindsay was awesome! Highly recommend the whipped feta dip!

We came for Father's Day dinner with family. It's not a large restaurant but the service was very slow. From being seated to check was over 2 hours for a party of 11. They did give us a head's up that the kitchen was slow but this is no gourmet spot. Dropping fish and fries in grease shouldn't take an hour. The view sells it. I am not sure I would return, but it was nice to gather with family to celebrate our fathers. The waitress, Shannon, was helpful and kind.

Following a visit to her orthodontist, my wife and I were in search of a place along the water for a late lunch. Having been to The Crab Plant and Waterfront Social, we were looking forward to trying out something different. Bayside Kraft Kitchen had good reviews so we headed out there after a side trip to Hunter Springs Park to hopefully see some manatees. Being a warmer late December day, we only saw perhaps 2 of those gentle giants in the water. At 3 PM, Bayside opened its doors to diners. Unbeknownst to us, they were having their Happy Hour which apparently is quite popular so there were quite a few tables occupied with a long table reserved for a bigger group. We were seated promptly in a booth with a view of the water and presented the menu. We already perused the menu online and knew what we wanted. We ordered the Pork Belly Bites as an appetizer. My wife ordered the Crab Cake Dinner and I had the Smashburger. The pork belly appetizer was quite delicious! Loved the crunchiness of the pork belly cubes tempered by the pickled onions and that savory sauce. My wife was raving about her crab cakes! She loved its crispy exterior and the freshness of the crab meat shined through...and that lemon white wine butter reduction was the perfect complement. She even liked the succotash and the arugula salad it was served with. My burger was well prepared, with juicy patties and soft buns. All in all, a very enjoyable meal. Our server, Trevor, was on it! Friendly, attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. Nice ambience as well! We'll definitely be back. Late lunch for 2 came out to just over $71 with tip.

Stopping for lunch. We have drove by here so many times. Today was the day! Very nice inside with great views of the water Started with the crab corn chowder. Amazing! So delicious. Perfect consistency. FriED BOLOGNA/ brassSSTOWN, NC COUNTRY BOLOGNA, WHITE RICAN CHEESE, MUSTARD SLAW. So good!!! Instead of a thick cut piece of bologna it was lots on thinly sliced slices. Really well done. The mustard slaw was so perfect with the fried bologna. Deb chose the crab cake app as here meal. All of it with the salad and succotash was well paired. Great food. Chilled laid back atmosphere. Would sit outside next time but inside is so nice. Service was awesome. Lindsey Was so nice and friendly. Can't wait to come back.

Amazing! This place is such a gem. Hard to believe somewhere this good exists in Crystal River but it does. My husband and I worked our way through as much of the menu as possible. Highlights were the whipped feta with honey, pickled onion, pistachios and grilled bread and the brussel sprouts with a not spicy but full of flavor maple gochujang sauce. Would 100% get these both again! The crab corn chowder was good (per hubs) and the special was a flounder fillet on basil risotto with green beans. He said was excellent. Our server Ethan was absolutely exceptional. Really lovely experience! 10/10 guys, thank you!

Very good dinner. Crab Cakes were good. Scallops and Polenta were excellent. Beet salad was very good. Good service. My only question was we made a reservation through open table and they didn't put us near the windows by the bay. No one was sitting there. My wife felt the 9oz. Wine pour was light. O real a great dinner!

We went here for dinner on the Saturday night before Mother's Day, at 6:00pm. It was pouring rain outside. Inside was like a walk in freezer. Mom warned me to bring a wrap but I was still cold and so was my hubby. Mom also asked if we could have a booth on the side of the big open floor but they said all tables were booked and put us right in the middle. Our waitress luckily had a very penetrating voice so we were able to hear her. Fried Brussels sprouts- first batch arrived lukewarm. We pointed this out and our waitress brought a hot one. I saw at least one other order go back to the kitchen. Lobster tails - properly cooked! Not easy. It came with Brussels again so I asked for them sautéed. The mashed potatoes were well seasoned but could have been hotter. Short ribs - just ok. Came with risotto and more Brussels sprouts. Catfish - good flavors and arrived hot. Old Fashioned - the waitress took the glass away before all the drink was gone. My husband wasn't going to say anything but my uncle and mom did. With a smirk (indicating she thought we were scamming her) she said she would bring another. She eventually did. The view is supposed to be spectacular in the sun. When the rain let up you could kind of tell. Summary - the only vegetables they have are succotash and sprouts so don't get the sprout app. We had a nice time but we certainly weren't comfortable. The bar was really slow. If I lived closer I might give this place another try on a less busy night. Probably not though, it didn't feel as if they wanted us back.

My first official "sit down" meal while visiting my sunshine sister in Florida! Hands down amazing!!!!!! The interior has high ceilings and a very spacious feel. There are a row of booths to your left, the bar is to the right and as you walk towards the out door patio there are plenty of tables that fill up the rest of the space. We sat at a booth:) Casey was our server and Alex was the manager that day. Both were on point making sure we received the best appies, cocktails & main meal! Dawne and I started off our evening with a coconut martini for her & a lemon drop for moi! Cheers!!! It only got better from there: the whipped feta served with charred sour dough, scored a 5/5 on the Te-see B. thumbs up chart:) For main dishes: I got the South Western Salad with Grilled Chicken & Apple Cider Vinaigrette 5/5 - so fresh and absolutely delicious! Dawne ordered the Burrata & Beets Salad w/grilled salmon 5/5 For Dessert: Key Lime Pie 5/5 *We splurged and had 2 cocktails each! Why not?! We were celebrating our 1 year anniversary of meeting in RL! *Happy Hour ends at 5pm *Their lunch menu is different than the dinner menu but ask to see it, they are very accommodating here! *Amazing view of the water and sunset *Available for private events *Plenty of parking in the lot *Easy access for wheel chairs and walkers

Happy hour bayside! We stopped here before heading home from our scallop trip for their happy hour. We sat on the patio over looking the water and boat ramp. Beautiful and entertaining. The happy hour is great. Appetizers and beverages for $6 and under. We ordered a few apps to share including the shrimp, chicken tenders, whipped feta and corn bread fritters. I couldn't pick a favorite if I tried they were all incredible. The restaurant is absolutely stunning. Beautifully decorated, clean, modern sleek and welcoming. Our server Eva was so sweet. She provided direction on the menu, offered specials and was great with interactions with our entire table. We highly recommend this spot to anyone coming through. You will not be disappointe!

Stop in at my parent's favorite restaurant to get a basic seafood dinner. It was clear they had done a remodel and it looked nice. I told them we had not been here since the remodel. What they failed to mention was they were a totally different restaurant with different owners and a new and more expensive menu. What I call an ambush. I proposed we leave and go somewhere we prefer, but my mom was mortified at the idea of walking out. I told her I have walked out of nicer places than this. She was not comforted by that idea. My mother could find nothing on the menu . Luckily we were able to cobble together a basic shrimp and fries meal for her. I went with the burger to keep it cheap. The menu is limited and fancy. The view of the water is still lovely and the dining room is definitely classier. Waiting to see what the meal brings. Limited choices of vegetables so we went with the side Caesar salads. They were pretty good. A little heavy on the pepper. My burger was good. Mom's shrimp (small portion) was good but spicy so she didn't finish. Same with the fries. They have added a wheelchair ramp and it was easy to navigate. Dreading the bill.

We went there for a late lunch and the view is amazing as well as the food and service. We had the appetizers. The scallops were amazing, pork belly was a little sweet but delicious, cornbread is a must. We tried the corn chowder and it was pretty good but not a fav. I would def go back and get those apps again.

    It's Lemon Drop Martini time.

You can arrive by land or sea at Bayside Kraft Kitchen...a charming restaurant located on the sparkling waters of Kings Bay. This local eatery offers up a gorgeous upscale atmosphere with a welcoming outdoor deck complete with twinkling lights and a gentle breeze where you can savor the essence of Crystal River, in addition to stunning views of the bay. The interior is decorated with a cozy, rustic feel and presents a unique dining experience with a focus on fresh, locally sourced ingredients, creative cocktails and ample portion sizes. Kudos to Casey for his impeccable service. And many thanks to Alex, the proficient MOD, who recommended the Whipped Feta with drizzled honey, toasted pistachios, pickled onions, grilled sourdough points & micro-greens. Chef's kiss.

The service was the highlight of the visit--the bartenders were genuinely friendly, attentive, and made me feel welcome. That's the main reason I'm giving this place two stars. The food, however, was disappointing. I ordered my burger medium, but it arrived raw in the center. The onion rings were overly greasy with a heavy, unimpressive batter. After reading other reviews, I noticed someone else had a similar experience with the patty melt, so my meal may not have been an isolated issue. The atmosphere wasn't for me either. It feels much more like a neighborhood dive bar than a restaurant, with multiple TVs, loud music, constant chatter, and live entertainment outside all competing at once. If you're looking for a lively sports bar where you can watch a game, have a drink, and socialize, this may be exactly what you're after. I prefer a quieter, more relaxed dining experience, so it simply wasn't a good fit. The restaurant also has a dog-friendly patio, which many people enjoy, though it's not something I personally look for when dining out. Overall, I think Norton's has a loyal local following, and I can understand why some people enjoy the casual bar atmosphere. For me, though, the combination of the underwhelming food and the very loud environment means I won't be returning. The staff deserved better than the meal they were serving, because their friendliness and service were the best part of the visit.

Unfortunately, the service we received was extremely disappointing from start to finish. Before arriving at 4pm, I called and was told the wait would be about 20 minutes. We showed up 30 minutes later, the restaurant didn't look busy, and there were plenty of open seats at the bar, so we sat down. The bartender with pigtails completely ignored us. Eventually, a second bartender helped us. We were very low-maintenance customers we started with waters and took time to look at the menu. Service was slow from the beginning. When the bartender finally returned to take our order, she cut me off mid-question to help someone else. We ordered the Low Country Boil ($60) and a side salad as an appetizer. I ordered a Tito's lemon drop shot, and my friend ordered one of their canned vodka cocktails with a glass. The canned cocktail arrived without a glass, and my shot never came. Meanwhile, new customers sat down next to us and were immediately greeted, given menus, and served drinks before I ever received mine. My lemon drop shot finally arrived about 15 minutes later with the explanation that it took time to "mull the lemon." Our food arrived without the salad, crawfish, or sausage that were supposed to come with the boil. Since getting the bartender's attention had already been difficult, we started eating because we were starving after paddleboarding. Halfway through the meal, the bartender brought the salad and said it was supposed to come out earlier and joked that she would eat it if we didn't want it which felt unprofessional, especially since it was ordered as an appetizer. To make matters more confusing, another table had received the crawfish that were supposed to be part of our order and had to give them to us themselves. The bartender never checked on us, never refilled drinks, and never followed up about the missing items until we flagged her down. When the bill came, she told us she removed my friend's canned vodka cocktail and discounted my Tito's lemon drop shot from $14 down to $7. If she did indeed charged me half price for that lemon drop shot its was because it took her so long to get it to me (almost like she forgot the order). I find it hard to believe that a lemondrop shot is $14 but an oyster shooter with Titos is $8.I politely asked if anything could be done to account for the incomplete meal and inattentive service. Instead of trying to resolve the issue, the bartender became argumentative and raised her voice, saying she was short-staffed and working alone, which was clearly not the case. Her way of resolving the issue was to place another order of what we got which made NO sense at this point. As my friend was signing the checks, the bartender told her she has five kids. If that's the case, then she should be more than capable of handling the volume we experienced and the low-maintenance customers we were. In that moment, the interaction felt immature and unprofessional, especially after the level of service we had just received. I'm not someone who skips tipping I usually tip well but since nothing was done to make the situation right, I chose not to leave one. We left and went down the road for drinks, where the bartenders took pride in their service and they received the 30% tip I originally intended to leave here. Thank you for an unforgettable Valentine's Day experience.
