I dropped off a rain coat on Friday, Oct the 6th. Today is the 10th. The coat needed a new slider installed since the old one fell off. Pretty simple request. I called that evening to see if the coat had gotten done. No. Okay, no problem. I called the next day in the evening to see if the coat had gotten done, again no. I called today the 10th to see if the coat had gotten done. No. He kept telling me he could not get to it, he's been busy, he doesn't have a slider. The excuses are ridiculous. If I'm going to pay you 10 dollars to install a 1 dollar peice of hardware, just do it. Dont give me excuses or skip over me for bigger paying clients. Because of his behavior and excuse I will not be back. I will pick up my still sliferless coat and go someplace reputable. read more

This guy is fantastic! I used him to sew some patches on to my leather vest. He did an excellent job, and best of all, he sewed patches on to pockets without sewing the pocket closed. I recommend him to all my biker brothers out there. read more

He said my suit would be done that same day. I trusted him because I reallh needed it the next morning. Well I didnt get my suit. Ive been calling him for 5 hours now, and not a answer. He picked up once and then hung up. Do not waste your time and money here! Go somewhere else. In the past ive givin him some work and a couple of times he has messed up. Terrible! read more

I took 7 ties in for alteration to narrow them on May 29, 2019. I was told they would be ready in 2-2 1/2 weeks. I checked after 3 weeks and was told "another 2 weeks". I stopped by around that time and was told "another week and a half". I went in today, July 17, and they weren't ready. The excuse was he had "others ahead of this order". Were all those orders from May 29 or before? No way. He didn't want to do the work but represented that he did. A huge frustration. read more

Been coming to Ivan for all my tailoring needs for more than 7 years now. One thing that sets Ivan apart is that he gets today's fashion so when it comes to him tailoring pants into skinny fit or joggers, he knows what to do. Dropped off a pair of pants 2 weeks before an event to have sized down. Was told but the man that he would have them done in a couple days and would give me a call to pick up by that Friday. A week later, on the following Friday, the day before my event, i still hadn't received a phone call so I stopped by the shop to pick up my pants assuming they would be done as it had been over a week longer than when he said they would be ready. When I got there I found that he hadn't even started tailoring the pants and in a panic told me that he had been too busy to get to them but could have them done in an hour. At that point I just took my pants back and left. read more

This is the best tailor we have ever used. My wife badly tore her very expensive and very old silver fox coat. He was able to fix it in a matter of minutes to look like new. Several weeks before my wedding I contacted this tailor to ask about altering an adult size shirt to fit my 12 year old son because I was having trouble finding a color match in his size. He said he could do the job for about $30.00. I continued to look for other options but about 10 days before the wedding I dropped off and adult size shirt and he measured my son for the alterations, but his quote was now $60.00. Perhaps he didn't realize the scale of the job, and that's fine; however, the day before the wedding I stopped by for the shirt and it had not been started. He assured me it was no problem and he would have it by 5:00pm that day. We had our rehearsal that night but he assured me he would be open late because of an regular event that goes on every Friday in the summer. He said he would call me when it was ready. No call ever came. My fiancé called him that evening and he said he'd be open at 9:00 the next day. Today, the day of our wedding for which this shirt was promised we went to the shop at 9:00am. The door was open but the tailor was nowhere to be found, but on his bench was my son's shirt, marked up but not even begun! I should probably have known better. A month earlier I had him repair a breast pocket on my suit, and the day it was promised again, he had not even begun. He gave me an excuse about mixing up that job with another he had promised that day and I gave him the benefit of the doubt. Be warned, unless it simply doesn't matter if your job ever gets done, look elsewhere for tailoring and alterations in Escondido! read more

Ivan was able to alter a fur coat that my daughter got from her grandmother. The price was quite reasonable. We showed him another fur coat and he was honest enough to show us why it couldn't be altered without great cost and recommended that we sell it. Appreciated the advise. read more

Ivan has very extensive knowledge on alterations and tailoring I never trust anyone with my pendletons except him all of my pants and came out perfect he even irons my clothes for me and no extra charge very talented and always prompt with his time! read more
