I would say the only reason why I bought a car here was because of Ivan. After a rocky start, which I don't really want to get into, Ivan really stepped up to the plate by providing excellent customer service and displaying good sales ethics. I saw that he gave it his all when negotiating with the managers and I really appreciated that. You could tell he's a trustworthy and competent person. Do not shop here for your car. I had the transmission go out on my last car and wanted to be loyal to the owner of the dealerships it was at so I went next door to the Riverside Mazda to buy a new car. I did my research and found the exact car I wanted so I reached out to their Internet Sales team. I received an email with an amazing deal for the car so I called to make an appointment to test drive the vehicle. I showed up on time for my appointment but no one greeted me and the sales department was not prepared to show me the car. I waited for over 30 minutes for them to finally let me see the top-of-the-line Mazda3 Sedan. It was exactly what I wanted so I told them that while I had to leave, I wanted to come back to make a deal. The sales representative was not aware that I had already received pricing so it was uncomfortable as he offered to run numbers for me. Communication is huge when selling a car so the fact they did not share that I was already provided the pricing made it frustrating. I felt the customer service was awful - they were not friendly and did not respect my time. They did not follow up with me until a week later. The internet sales representative that sent me the unrealistic deal on the car, Karissa Robinson, called me back to ask me how I was doing in my car search. I started to explain to her how I was really disappointed with my experience with her dealership and that I bought the car from the Mazda dealership in Corona because they treated me so much better and she hung up on me. I called back thinking maybe she got disconnected but she sent me to voicemail. I called back and spoke to the Sales Manager and explained the whole situation. All he could tell me what that she has resigned and is receiving a lot of complaints about her. They lost a customer for life because of their customer service. I had done the research for them and had chosen a car that was only on their lot - it would have been an easy sale for the them - but they lost me because of the way they treated me. I went to CardinaleWay Mazda in Corona and absolutely LOVE them. They were so friendly and efficient. I was greeted the moment I walked in and had the best experience buying my new car. I highly recommend making the drive to visit the Corona dealership than wasting your time in Riverside. If their sales team treats potential customers this poorly, I can only imagine how bad I would be treated when I come back to service my car. read more

In front of other customers, never again will I return to this mazda dealer.. joey made me sign a paper of 136$ and he swore he wasn't gonna charge since it was bumper to bumper warranty.. i told him ok sounds good since i cant count on that money at the moment .. at the time to give me my car he wouldn't return my car without paying him the $136 and thats when steve interrupted and started with his smart remarks saying how can you go to a doctor appointment and not pay a copay and all this other smart remarks. I've never been so disappointed and humiliated by someone that is supposed to be professional. I obviously called corporate and they supposedly going to talk to them and what not! All I can say is, what a joy it was to purchase my first car here. Last week my boyfriend and I went to Riverside Mazda to look at their Mazda 3's where we were pleasantly helped by Taylor who never pressured us once to buy anything. He told me I could drive any car I wanted. We test drove the Mazda 3 iTouring and iGrand Touring. At that point I knew that car was perfect for me. He kindly gave us a brochure and his card and we went home. Yesterday, after a not so pleasant experience at Romero Mazda in Ontario, my parents and I went back to Riverside Mazda. We were greeted by Manager, Will, who was AWESOME! We told him our story of how horrible it was in Ontario and really wanted to see if they had anything that would fit my budget. Will told us he would make it work no matter what he had to do. I told him exactly what color(s) I would like and we went to the lot to see what the options were. We looked at EVERY single black and white car in the lot and in the back. Will was looking so hard in the back for me he had sweat running down his face. He wanted to make sure my experience was great and I got exactly what I wanted. I told him I wanted a white Mazda3 in the iTouring model. They had one on the lot with a Technology package that was above my budget. Will told me he would try his best, without any guarantee, to get that price down to my budget. After several negotiations with the Sales Manager, Will got me the price I wanted. After he got me the price, I test drove the car with Jose, who was beyond nice to me and answered every question I had about the car. When it came to my trade in, Will met my expectations for the value of my old car. He also got me a package for maintenance for the next 7 years that STILL fit in my budget. I realized I couldn't leave without the car since I loved it and I could afford it, so we completed the paperwork and went home with a beautiful White Mazda 3 iTouring. Jose showed me all of the great features of the car and told me if I needed any assistance I could come back and he would help. This review is for Steven Hudson in the Service Department. Today I took my car to get an oil change at 8:30am without an appointment and they were able to accommodate me. I knew the car would be there all day since I had no appointment and it's a Saturday. I went home and got things done then Steven called me and informed me of a few things my car needed done that I was actually already aware of and was going to take care of my self but Steven took care of it for me which was great!! He wasn't pushy about it which I really appreciated! When I got there my car was ready and washed. I asked Steven about getting a new battery for my key and he installed a new one right then and there. I got my oil changed, cabin air filter changed and new windshield wipers for $89.17! That's how much we paid for our last oil change somewhere else and it wasn't even close to the service we received with Steven at Mazda. Will definitely be going back! Thank you! read more

I bought my car from Riverside Mazda 4 years ago and recently the touchscreen has a spot in the center of the screen that does not work. I took my car to get looked at and even after i explained the issue and where the spot was the tech only updated the software and did not fix the issue. While they were "fixing" my car they broke the center console radio control knob. Also, while my car was in the shop I was given a loaner car. The car had a chip on the windshield that I did not discover till after I left the lot. So, the dealer said I caused this issue and tried charging me to fix the chip even after I told them to run it through my insurance. After this experience I will never own another Mazda. read more

I entered the dealership with an appointment as I was a Costco member. I was met by a sales person who followed me to the reception desk. I asked for the Costco rep by name and stated I had an appointment. The salesperson called the Costco rep (Kevin) to let him know I was there (the receptionist was occupied). I was then handed off to the sales manager "Maj" and told he would be handling my Costco purchase. The original car I came to purchase had been sold shortly before my appointment and I was taken to a very similar car. I test drove it and was on board with the purchase. Even though I had my own financing, I was told I had to give my DL info, SS#, etc. as it was policy- still waiting on price. When I got to the finance office, the price information I was given was different than what I thought we had agreed to. I figured that this was a misunderstanding on my part, and I would not complete the sale. Maj said not to worry, he had other vehicles that were similar that would work with my budget. I was taken to a white CX-5. I asked what the difference between the cars was and was told that besides the seat package (electric & heated seats) it was the same. I specifically asked if the vehicle had the lane assist & blind spot warning. This was important, as it was the deciding factor for choosing Mazda. I was told it did absolutely have the safety feature and was directed to look closely at the side mirrors (as the only way to demonstrate the feature would be to put the car in a position for the feature to come on, which wouldn't be safe). I took the SALES MANAGER at his word as the vehicle did not have a sticker, and purchased the car based on the information provided by the sales manager. Well, come to find out, the vehicle has NONE of the features the first car had, AND NO SAFETY beyond the basic. Additionally, Costco auto informed me that they were to show me the invoice which would include all features, and the pricing sheet for the vehicle. This DID NOT HAPPEN. There are other concerns and issues but the above information should be enough to explain how the dealership operates. read more

If you really need to have your Mazda repaired I suggest taking it elsewhere. Not only did I have a few items taken from my vehicle but lied about my vehicle needing filters replaced and battery when I had just a few weeks before replaced those myself as it is very easy to do. If you look below on my previous rating someone responded for me to get in contact with them regarding the missing items. I immediately responded thinking they were going to help out in replacing those items or at least part of them. I was told contact a few people but they were never in the office. After a few calls I was able to speak to Steve Hudson. This guy said to purchase the missing items via amazon. Later on that day he concluded that he wasn't going to believe that his workers were capable of taking "used items" from my vehicle and that there are multiple signs saying they are not responsible for missing items. This was our first time being there and were not aware nor told not to leave anything behind as obviously they are not to be trusted. He told me to cancel the items from amazon because upper management didn't agree to replace them. I had to cancel those items but I wasn't able too plus those items are needed so that is coming out of my pocket. They treat you nice just to get your business but when there's a problem they treat you like crap. I was pretty much treated as a liar by this Steve Hudson guy and I have all the text on my phone. read more

First of all, I have to say I absolutely HATE car shopping. I would rather have a root canal. So when some idiot totaled my (parked) car and I needed to get a new one, I was not happy. My husband stopped by the riverside Mazda dealership look around, and he found a pretty blue cx-5, which was at the top of my want list. Juan was our salesperson and I was very happy with the service. He was kind, patient, and made sure we knew how everything worked. Nick helped us with the financing and was incredibly kind and helpful. I have to add that through this process, my 2 year old was acting insane, and they were so understanding. Juan even helped me to pair my phone to the car, which was really nice. I've honestly been surprised by some of these reviews, because I was impressed thoroughly by the dealership and everyone we encountered. This is the 3rd new Car I've purchased in my adult life and this was by far the best experience! We are new to southern California, and I really felt like I was treated like family here. Found as advertised online a Mazda Miata Grand Tour and went to see it at the dealer. Salesperson J.P. answered all questions and we went for a test drive. I took note that everyone at Riverside Mazda was upbeat, friendly and at your service for the asking while I was there. I asked J.P. to see if we could arrive at a certain price and he said he would check with management. He did and I bought the car. I met a friendly, outgoing manager named Matt, a nice receptionist and then the finance manage named Nick. The purchase systems and paperwork all went smoothly and Nick was most professional, informative and impressed me by answering all questions put to him succinctly. He is also a very pleasant fellow. He pointed out to me the value of an extended warranty and we had good discussion in regards to this. After analyzing all the service being offered at a nominal cost, I had to get it. Why? It is one of the best values for warranty I have ever seen. Picked up the car and drove it home. Man, what a feeling! Buying a car which to some is the second largest purchase in ones life should be pleasant, safe and memorable. I got all that and more. I am seriously considering purchasing another vehicle now that a solid trust is in place. Its all about trust in the end. I don't know how this dealer gets any reviews above 1 star that are obvious, they are the biggest crooks in town. They tried to hide a seatbelt that was cut almost in half by tucking it in the back seats. They are super pushy to get you to buy, the car, guess what Riverside Mazda? People do research before they buy cars. Which bring me to my next point, they don't know much about their cars, I knew more about the car I wanted than they did. Also their cars are in terrible shape, other than the seatbelt issue they don't wash any cars routinely, they leave scratches on them and just claim "those will be taken care of if you buy the car", 1. How about you fix them before and not show cars in that condition and 2. Looking at the rest of your operations I DOUBT they will be buffed out after purchase. The sales manager does not like to be corrected, yet he talks down to everyone AND disrespects women... he assumed my dad was the one buying the car and with the money so he wouldn't acknowledge my mom's input.
