Service Department is horrible! Took in my under warranty car to get it checked out/repaired. 1st time when I came to pick up my car there was a dent in my hood. The service rep Chito came after I stated the dent in the hood was not before . Chito saw the dent said he would take care of it. 2nd time going to pick up my car there is now a chip in the paint in the exact same spot where the dent was! Now Chito says it was there all along and and they are Not going to fix it. Then got in touch w/ the manager Mike and he also refused to fix my hood! Worst service ever and Chito just lied if the chipped paint was there he would have said something before he fixed the dent! TERRIBLE BUSINESS PRACTICES. I live in Brea and have been shopping for a specific car lease at a very specific price ($3,000 down and $185/mo). I spoke with IRVIN at Riverside Nissan on the phone and he told me that they could do that price if I come in today. I made it very clear that I would only come in if they could do that price. He confirmed that they could do it. He knows I was in Orange County and it would be over an hour drive. He said the only reason I would not be able to get that price would be if my credit was bad. I LEAVE WORK 3 HOURS EARLY to get this deal and sit in traffic on the 91 to get to Riverside. I get there and sit down, talk to IRVIN. He shows me the car, lets me drive it, takes me to an office and writes down the deal terms $3000, $185/mo, etc. At this point I have left work early, spent over an hour driving out there, and spent about 30+min talking to IRVIN. IRVIN says ok all we gotta do is run your credit. I give IRVIN my social security number, etc. Now some manager guy comes into the office with my credit score and tells me there are no problems with it, looks great as it was 850. So he goes over the lease terms with me again and I agree that is what I'm there for. Then he leaves the office and comes back in with printouts of the numbers and starts going through MSRP, incentives, rebates, etc. and tells me THE BEST THEY CAN DO IS $3000 DOWN and $420/mo!!! WTF?? I was so pissed. This place owes me a huge apology for wasting so much of my time. It is impossible for there to be any kind of miscommunication on my expectation of getting that car at that price. (owner) In this review I will explain where I am coming from and why it is referred to the owner (reason being he responded that he would have a "great deal" if I went back and would take "care" of me). First, I went into this dealer to get a Nissan Versa manual transmission s, after being in the market for over a month, so I've done some extensive research. In modern times, the internet is a great source to find out about all your options, in this case, find what is a good deal on a new vehicle and what is not. As we all know, people reading this review, will probably do the same when looking for a new car. So, if we go to true car, the price for this vehicle is $10,345. We all know, that all dealers will have some option added to their invoice and "claim" theirs is more for that reason. So, Richard, I went back and this is what happened. I called the store and I first spoke to Henry, the sales internet person. I told him that if he had the car I was looking, the one I have mentioned in the previous paragraph, and his response was that they did. I then proceeded to ask him what was his price. He stated that they had it for 13 something, but with the discount it would come out to 11 something. I then asked him why did Fontana Nissan have it for 10something cheaper than him. He then responded and pretty much stated that to not waste his time and my time, in a rude way, go there instead. As a sales person (if I was a salesman), my intention would be to be courteous to the customer and tell him to give me a chance and I will try my best to get that deal if not better ( I suppose all dealers pay the same price; this is just my instinct). He then hung up on me. I decided to go to the store with my girlfriend. I told the people in there what happened and my intention was to look for Richard M. He was not there. I then advised, the person helping me, that Richard M. (owner) had stated he would give me a "great deal" since he is the owner. The sales person there, Dany Tovar, told me that he was not a "sales", referring to Richard M., person and they were the ones that would tell me what the best deal would be. Make long story short, it already is right, he gave me some numbers that did not add up for that specific car. My uncle paid 210 a month for 60 months no money down, a month ago. You guys do the math, this is financed, including taxes and fees as well. These people wanted, Richard M., over 15K for the same vehicle. Only thing, they added a 3 thousand dollar navigation system. Now, Richard M., I went there and when we were sitting down, since we already (my girlfriend and I) knew we weren't getting a good deal, wanted to leave, but as we were in the process of just leaving, the person that was helping us was laughing at us in front of our faces. How do I know you may ask, my girlfriend, as we were sitting, saw the receptionist and the guy that helped us at first look back and then look at each other and laughed. How would you guys feel, Richard M., if you go to a business and instead of being cordial they laugh at your face. I just want people to know what happened, and do not go there because all the cars have "lowjack" ($2,000 more), which they add intentionally, and again, they told me come down, since I listened to Richard M., and that he would make it happen and it would be a super great deal, well he said he would take care of me. No business happened and I am very upset as my girlfriend is because they laughed in our face. I guarantee it was because I went in dirty gym clothes, but still they have no right what so ever to do such thing, specially to my girlfriend. Oh, by the way, Richard M., I never offended or disrespected any of your employees Mr. Richard M. I would like to speak with you about this matter and resolve this issue that your employees made me go through, another unwanted head ache. They had two available and neither was being used but they refused to let me charge saying "You can only use our charger if you bought the Leaf from us!" Talk about dog in the manger! My husband and I bought a Nissan Quest , the sales man Chris was great and friendly (that's the reason for the one star) . The van had a few scratches on the bumper and chipped paint which they agreed to fix . I received a call a few weeks later to bring my vehicle in and I would be receiving a rental at no cost . I arrived at the dealership at 10am after two hours of trying to "locate" my rental I was escorted to "Mazda" there I spoke to Sal Gonzalez who was the one helping with the paperwork for my rental he asked for a credit card " which would not be charged, just to keep on file ".I filled out some routine paperwork gave him my insurance and I specifically asked him about water spots since the vehicle would be parked right next to my sprinkler and they have a disclose on their paperwork. He told me not to worry about it two days would not leave permanent water spots on the car . Two days later When I returned the rental Jaylen B told me I would have to pay for the water spots on the rental .. I adamantly said no and made it clear I would not pay for something I was told not to worry about . He gave me an invoice to give to the service department which they would not pay for and the manager would not even come out and talk to me ! I made it perfectly clear I did not give him permission for them to charge my card and Jaylen B rudely stated "well he would send me to collections " . Well today I checked my card statement and found a charge from them .. A charge that I did not authorize . My husband called and spoke to a "Maurice Ward" who stated Jaylen B told him I gave him my card to swipe ! Which is a complete lie . Please please stay clear of this dealership . I should have listened to the reviews never again will I ever buy a vehicle from the place or recommend it to anyone .. I will also be disputing the charges and contacting the BBB. read more

I came in to buy my first car, we found a nice nissan altima. But the interest rate was too high. So we said thank you, but no thank you. Three days later I get a call saying they were able to change things for me and lower my interest rate. They begged me to come in but I said, tell me the interest rate over the phone. They wouldn't, instead they said they would call me back. So they called me back and said the the bank totally rejected the loan. So fine. We're done. Two days later I get a call from the same guy with the same crap. I said, if you can't change anything stop calling me. A day later I get another call, from the same guy! I just hanged up. A week goes by and now I GET A CALL FROM A DIFFERENT PERSON! I'm so sick of it. The people that work here are rude and don't take no for an answer. Even when they know nothing will work period and the customer is no longer a customer! I wish I could give it zero stars for all the minutes they wasted talking to me on the phone a too many times. Had a terrible experience at Nissan dealer in Riverside. We were trying to decide if buying or leasing would be a better option. Salesperson was lazy and we were wanting to know numbers and best price. We told the salesperson we had great credit and didn't want to be stuck in a room playing that back and fourth game. He said no it would be about 15 minutes. They pulled our credit reports and confirmed we had great scores and one hour later we were still waiting. It wasn't busy at the dealer this particular evening so we didn't understand the wait. We asked for a business card for both the salesperson and the manager and asked if we could call them the next morning once they could come up with the numbers. We called for two days left our information and never got a call back. We ended up purchasing a car from another dealer down the street. Worst car buying experience ever. Walked in earlier today with a car set in mind but open to other options. After walking around the lot checking out everything, I came across a car I hadn't previously considered but was interested in test driving to see if I liked it. After finding a salesman, he then told he didn't know anything about the cars I wanted and suggested another salesman help me. Having worked in sales for the majority of my life, I was very put off by the rehearsed and almost robotic sales pitch of the new salesman. He basically just listed the brochure specs that I could have read myself online. He didn't care about what I was looking for and kept trying to push cars on me that I repeatedly told him I was not interested in. He then proceeded to pull out a car that I had told him I didn't want to test drive. I figure "ok, he's got to be new here; I'll just test drive this and then we can get to the car I actually came to buy." Test drive was awkward as the salesman didn't say a single word the entire time. No pointing out specific features or asking my opinion on anything. Like I said, I've work in sales for years and understand the value of building a relationship with a customer. Anyways, we get back to the dealership and I tell him thanks but I want to test drive the car I came for. He goes to get the keys and comes back 5 minutes later saying something about how the service manager has the key and he'll be out in a couple minutes to unlock the car. In the meantime, he says let's go inside and talk numbers. Granted, I haven't even driven this car yet so how can I talk numbers already. I agree to go inside since it's already been awkwardly silent enough with him and I don't want to have to wait in silence any longer for the keys. He asks for my ID, which I assumed was to have on file for the test drive. He heads into the back and 15 minutes pass before he finally returns (still haven't seen the service manager with the keys to the car like he had stated in this time though). When the salesman returns he has a credit application and starts talking how I need to fill it out for financing. At this point I get kinda irritated and state I'm not ready to run a report and have my credit dinged when I still haven't gotten to drive the car and call him out on what I presume to be a lie about the service manager having the keys to the car. He states he'll go check for the keys again and tries to leave. Before he can go, however, I ask for my ID back knowing full well that his intent is to wear me out by playing waiting games and that he will use my license as his power. He begrudgingly gives it back and heads to the back room again. After 10 more minutes of waiting for him I was fed up and got up and left. It took another 10 minutes before I even got a call from him saying that he had come back and noticed I was gone. I even noticed other salesmen doing the same waiting game with other customers in the lobby. Long story short, Riverside Nissan is your typical sleazy car dealership. Will never return. read more

I bought a car from these clowns in April of this year and as soon as I got the car home I noticed a problem. When the window tint on the back windows was installed the soap they used dripped on the inside and stained the doors. I brought the car back to have the stains removed within two days of purchasing the car. After having this problem four months later I was washing my car and the paint on the front bumper peeled off. I brought the car back to have this addressed and was informed that there had been damage to the front bumper before I bought the car and it had already been painted once. So now this is the second time that the front bumper has been repaired to no fault of my own. This problem could have been avoided if the first repair was done correctly. I picked up my car after the paint job was finished only to find three new dents above the door on the passenger side. Once again I bring back the car to have this problem solved. I was told by service that I would be receiving a call letting me know when I could bring my car in to have the dents repaired. I never received a call and when I came back and asked about it service told me that their dent guy never called back and they had forgotten to let me know. So now my car has been dented for almost a week and the earliest they can get me in to fix their problem is Friday which is now 5 days from when it was originally supposed to be fixed. The amount of times that I have brought this car back to fix problems that aren't my fault is ridiculous. I work for a car dealership so I understand the business and this is absurd. The problem is that the communication with customers is a joke. The problems that I am having with this car are %100 preventable. Not only are they avoidable, they are easy fixes that I should not be having to waist my time coming in to remind service that they need to take care of. Recently I went in to test drive a Nissan. At first, I thought the sales staff were competent and honest. After spending an hour with three different salesmen, and detailing what I was looking for, I was told by the arrogant assistant sales manager, Michael G., that he would find what I was looking for. Out of politelness, I called back the next day and was told by Michael G. - who had quite an attitude - that my offer was basically irrational. Funny thing is, after talking to Michael G., I had gone to another dealer and my same offer was accepted! Michael G. needs to either grow up or realize that the days of rude car salemen ended a decade ago. Frankly, I don't know why anyone would buy a car from Riverside Nissan. Bought a brand new 350Z here back in 2006. I can say it was one of the simplest car buying experiences. I had been working with their internet sales department for a week figuring out all of the details and pricing. I got what I felt was a very fair price for that hot car at the time, and with the price already set there was no negotiating. I showed up, and was out of there in my new sports car within 2 hours. It really was great. I did however fall sucker for the extended warranty, but I went back the next day deciding that I did not want the warranty and they had no problems at all and removed it from my contract very easily. All in all, pretty good experience. I have taken that car in for 2 oil changes at the dealer as well, which is the only reason I give the 4 stars. The service was pretty slow for oil changes, over 2 hours. But as for sales, the experience was great. read more

Needed to charge my Nissan Leaf and found that the free 220 Volt Chargers had padlocks on them with I sign that said "Must see a salesman for key", I went in to get a salesman, he went to get keys, a few minutes! Then unlocked the charger, I plugged in, and it would not charge, went back inside, another salesman says, "those have not worked in a while,". Just not a good experience. My son drove 90 minutes to get there and they told him they only have the Versa with some add-ons that will add more than a $1,000 to the price. They give him lots of pushy sales pitch and were nasty to deal with. He and two friends wasted hours of driving time, gas money, and time at the dealership, and were dealt with dishonestly the whole time. My service experiance happened over 1 year ago. I took my Titan in for warranty repairs. They spent the next several weeks first trying to upsell me on expensive repairs that were outside the scope of why I brought the vehicle in for. When I finally got my truck back it was accompanied by a rather hefty price. They were able to take care of most of the items I had listed. But here is where they failed me ultimately. They told me that the extended warranty underwriter would not cover certain items, so I would have to pay for those out of pocket. I called the company myself and not only did I resolved the issue, but learned that this dealership never even brought these items to their attention. Next, there was an ongoing debate about covering the rental car that they had to put me in for over 2 weeks! And lastly there is much more that I can't even list. But I will say this, funny how I didn't even get a survey or courtesy call asking about my repair expariance. If Nissan made a push car I wouldn't take it there for even a wash. read more

This place is TERRIBLE!!!! DO NOT EVER BUY A CAR FROM HERE!!!!!!!!!! I came here and purchased a 2010 Ford Fusion and ever since I left the dealership I have had problems. As I was driving it home (for the first time ever) my wheel barring flew off on the freeway. When we were at the dealership about to drive off with the car my dad had noticed they had tried to keep it on with a zip tie which should have been my first clue that I should not have got the car. Then as I was driving 60 down a street nearby my house and the throttle body went out. Basically I have had lots of issues and I have only had the car about 5 months. Everyone I have been telling about this has told me that I should contact the dealership and inform them of my issues because ford fusions are very reliable cars and I did my research before I purchased it. It was a little overpriced after all the dealership taxes and what not. I kept telling everyone that I liked my car and it was normal to have these sort of issues with cars, until very recently when I put my car in reverse and it went into drive almost causing my to hit another car. After this had happened I decided to call the dealership to see what they could offer me. I called and asked to speak with a manager and the girl transferred me over to him where I got a VM recording. So I called back and the manager Danny answered the phone and told me to come down on Monday and he would give me the best trade in value for this vehicle and also provide a really great price on a vehicle I was interested in purchasing next. So I drove from Santa Clarita to Riverside (about 2 hour drive) to find out that Danny the manager is not even there and that they will only give me not even half of what I paid for and they were not nice and not willing to negotiate a price with me. Not to mention the car is in perfect condition and exactly the way they gave it to me. Also I took it to a dealership near my house for a trade in value and they were willing to offer me 3,000 more than they were. Not to mention everyone was very rude besides the guy standing by the door who wasn't very helpful but at least he was nice. We had visited several nissan dealerships wanting to purchase a 2011 rogue. We already have 2 in the family and I wanted a new one for myself. I found the other nissan dealerships we first went to not very customer service oriented. The salesmen were rude and would always end up only talking to my husband even after I had made it very clear I was the one purchasing and driving the new rogue. The attitude from the other nissan dealerships is what made me walk away from them. When we went to riverside nissan the first person I talked to was Phil and he was awesome!!! Do not buy your car here! Although our sales guy was very nice. He told us are car was equipped was equipped with Bluetooth for steaming audio. I get home and try to connect my phone and notice my car doesn't have a Bluetooth option on the stereo. I call dealership and let them know and they admit my sales rep thought the car had this feature and told us it had this feature but refuse to do anything about it. Not to mention our finance guy George was extremely unprofessional and got annoyed when we asked several ?s because what we saw on the paperwork was different from what we verbal agreed on. this place has horrible service. Aside from the sales guy getting mad because i negotiated on the price for a certified pre-owned altima, i also came to find out that the cars audio was gutted by the previous owner. I always thought that the stereo and speakers were bad but i assumed it was because of it being the stock speakers and stereo. so i decided to check it out and to my surprise this car had no speaker. the previous owner decided to take everything off with the exception of the dash twitters and some crappy 6x9 that weren't even screwed in to the back deck. I just think it is ridiculous to have to pay so much money, and trusting a business that really does the least to make sure their customers get a quality product. it could be a lot worse but still that's is besides the point. i will never go back to this place. I currently was in the market for a new car and went out of my way not to buy it here. read more
