Definitely worth a stop if you're in Westfield. We had the French Toast Strata and avocado toast. The strata was really an in-crust quiche, but was tasty either way. My friend got a plain latte and I got a cup of the house blend. The waitress spilled the latte all over the saucer while delivering it, and didn't trade it out. And there was no urn out to refill my black house blend, so I had to fight the long, long lines to get a couple of refills. I've been there about 7 or 8 times and the coffee is unique, but leaves a strange taste. It isn't named after Rosie the Rivetter, but the art features mainly women, and the store is staffed by mostly women. The manager has a bad attitude and they don't do coffee refills when major chains like Starbucks or Dunkin' Donuts do. It is about as expensive as Starbucks coffee, but taste comparable. For the ambience, I liked it initially because it was simple and independent, but consider the featured art to be uninspired, and the music for the ambience typical of most places, generic and nostalgic and loud. To say that I fell for Rivet Coffee Bar & Roastery is not an exaggeration. I was at the tail-end of day one of my most recent Tenderness Tour event and had just wheeled around 20-25 miles from Indy on my way to Noblesville. I was wheeling along a sidewalk and spotted Rivet and decided it would be a great place to try to grab something to drink as I was starting to dehydrate a bit. As I wheeled closer, I hit a spot in their gravel drive-up and my wheelchair flipped over. So yeah, I literally fell for Rivet. Since my most recent amputation, getting back into my wheelchair after a fall is difficult. It's more difficult without something to hold onto. It's even more difficult on gravel. However, one customer saw me fall and came over. Within a few seconds, the roaster himself came out of Rivet and also provided assistance. After a few moments of struggle, I was able to get back into my wheelchair a little bruised and bleeding but otherwise fine. They offered me an iced water and I contacted my road support to give my location. It's worth mentioning that at least I fell about a block away from Riverview-Westfield Hospital. Other than the gravel driveway, Rivet is surprisingly accessible with a fantastic ramp going up to an outside porch area that is heavenly. The entire renovated house gives an aura of welcome that is matched by the friendly employees. The menu is diverse with coffees, teas, smoothies, a variety of other beverages, waffles, and other breakfast items. They also have lunch and snack items. You can also, of course, get coffee beans here. The roaster was super friendly and so helpful when I fell. He seemed genuinely blown away by my event and was just so genuinely kind. Once I recovered, my road support and I decided to stop for a bit to allow me to get recovered. We both ordered mixed berry smoothies. Quite honestly, I thought it was amazing. I would easily order it again and am craving it again just writing about it. There's limited dining in options, though the patio is open and there's lots of carry-out. There's also a pull-up window. I'd love to try an iced coffee option, though decided that probably wasn't best since I still had some wheeling to do. While the gravel does reduce accessibility just a bit here (maybe just a small path area would be nice that leads to the ramp), otherwise this was such a stellar experience there's no way I'm calling it less than 5 stars. This is definitely a destination coffee joint and I would easily go out of my way to return. I have no doubt I will in the near future. read more

Rivet was great!! I had heard about this place so many times and I had to try it! They have a variety of coffee drinks and seasonal options. They also have a breakfast and lunch menu. They have lots of outdoor and indoor seating. You can order inside or at the outside window. They even had picnic tables out in the grass where kiddos could run around and play! I opted for a basic cold brew with sweet cream cold foam which was classic and delicious. I also got the egg-wich. An egg sandwich on a bagel with pesto and cheese. Which was seriously so good! Rivet has a lovely outdoor area - big wraparound porch, picnic tables in the grass and an inside eating area. We ordered at the window as it looked jammed with waiting people inside. The girl taking orders was friendly and efficient. I ordered the white chocolate mocha - hot and my husband ordered the Neapolitan. Sadly it took over 10 minutes for me to get my drink and a few minutes longer before my husband's was brought out. I loved mine- it was hot and tasted wonderful and I did not feel a need to add any sweetener which is something I normally would do. My husband was disappointed in his and when I tried it I understood- it was just a tad bland. Not bad - just something he would not order again. We had to park a block or two over in public parking as all the parking lot spaces and the spaces on the road outside were full. It pays to follow Yelp Indy's Instagram feed, because that is where I discovered Rivet. (Someone on their team posted a beautiful photo of the heated outdoor patio seating that's available here. Outdoor heated patio seating? Coffee? Breakfast foods and pastries? I'm in.) When I visited, I went inside to order, but I could have just as easily ordered outside, because they have a to-go window where you can place an order for takeout, or place an order and go sit down on the patio and they will deliver the food. Either way, I love that there are ordering options! I visited shortly after they opened so I was there for breakfast. I ordered an Egg-wich, which is a Scholar's Inn wheat bagel (sourced locally!), baked egg, pesto and Tomme de nena cheese. I had never had this type of cheese before, but it was delicious! It kind of tasted like a white cheddar. I also ordered a drip coffee, black, and it was amazing. When you order a black coffee at some coffee places, it's a gamble. Black coffee can sometimes be too bitter and over-roasted, but the coffee at Rivet was perfect. This is a great place to meet up with friends, and also a prime place to do some remote working. They offer free wifi, and lots of outlets inside to plug in your laptop. If I have to be picky (and you know I am), the only thing I would change is the music. I usually bring my headphones when working from a coffee shop, but I forgot them this time. So, I had to listen to what they were piping through the speakers. The level of music was great, but the variety was not. If you like contemporary Christian music, Jack Johnson and Ed Sheeran, then you will be in aural heaven. But it was too early in the morning for all that, so I had to split after a while. However, the music wasn't loud, so if you're someone other than me (a generally grouchy person with opinions about music), then you'll probably be able to ignore the music altogether. read more

After stumbling across Rivet Coffee in Yelp's hot and new biz list, I quickly bookmarked it for a future weekend visit (as in only 5 days later - couldn't wait!). It was the smorrebrod menu (love to see this creative mixup on Scandinavian open face sandwiches) and wrap around patio with shade trees that drew me in. Upon pulling up, you'll quickly see that this spot is adored by cyclists not only for the easy trail access and bike parking but the spiffy walk up window on the patio which makes casual pit stops all the more easy. They were also incredibly busy so this window helped create a second flow of traffic and lines. The indoor space is quite cozy and features a clean bathroom along with a cooler filled with local pressed juices and other treats like Four Birds Bakery cookies. Beans are roasted in house and the coffee menu is quite fun and extensive. I ended up ordering the Miel latte with honey and cinnamon and my partner opted for the flat white. We were in town for a basketball tournament and this cute little brunch spot was located in Westfield, Indiana. It's located in a residential area. We arrived Saturday morning before 11am and the place was packed. They have indoor and outdoor seating. We sat inside and ordered the cinnamon maple latte, Americano, Mango and Mixed Berry Smoothie. I ordered the avocado toast with cream cheese, everything seasoning and radishes. It was very good. My hubby ordered the Egg-wich (whole wheat bagel with pesto baked egg and white cheddar. My oldest ordered the Sausage Strata with pork sausage, white cheddar and cream cheese. We also got the everything bagel one with cream cheese and the other with butter. The customer is amazing. Diabetes dream house with clean and fresh design and lots of outdoor seating, I dropped in for a quite eclipse pregame caffeine chill out and found extremely friendly staff to the point of expecting a proposal. I couldn't handle the gracious spirit flowing all over the crew here and enjoyed every second of it. I noticed a massive menu addicted to sweet teeth, many waffles and thick breads, ice cream and that favorite green healthy fat goo, and so many lattes and speciality drinks I surprised myself selecting much faster than I normally require for options extending all over pages. Turkish Latte with that cardamom and warm spices seemed right, weird with all the syrups they only offer almond and oat milks besides dairy. I set myself down at the corner table to work and await the iced java. They mentioned to others a ten minute wait which seemed right with nearly every indoor and outdoor spot sat on. The wifi hooked up quickly and was extremely fast. Cannot make enough noise for great tech, made up for the average espresso which I suspect is all part of the Americanized heart risky ice cream waffle fix like the lady next to me chowed down. There are many better coffee spots in the area, Indie Coffee is probably the nearest, to put snobby bean counters at bay. I dabble in the obnoxious ode to making sure people know it's actually a fruit not a bean but the greats, Rabble and Provider are further afield. I liked the Turkish Latte well enough for what it was, easy to drink and giving some watered down sense of barista craft. I imagine the outdoor and overall atmosphere with sublime treatment is the main draw and can easily see myself here again just for the friendship treats of the staff! read more

Delicious coffee and great ambience, however the food is hit or miss. They made a mistake on my order which was fine, but it took way too long to remedy. My group had finished eating and it was over a half an hour to remake a simple sandwich. It wasn't perfect when it came out, but it was good. I feel like they should have done something to make it right, since I paid $18 for a sandwich that took too long to enjoy with my friends. I wouldn't necessarily recommend for food although my friend really enjoyed the hot lox, and I appreciated the gluten free options. I love Rivet!!! One of the tastiest coffee spots I've ever found in Westfield. There is a small lot that can hold 4-5 cars and street parking. Unfortunately, that's the only way to park and my only issue. Otherwise, there is a wonderful out door patio that you can order at the window and servers will bring out your items OR you can go inside to order but there is no seating available. Individual tables, a large cushy couch and picnic tables in a large field with shade from a tree.
