Was excited to see them we arrived for a booth I noticed the bartender making rude remarks to one of the band members an then he went over an got in his face an started yelling at him. Good pub food and also a wide range of beers on tap. Parking is easy as it is a big lot. They have tables/booths that can accommodate a party of close to 8-10 people. The staff has always been courteous as well. On certain nights they have local bands come in. Plenty of TVs around to catch any games. My only complaint is that there are not many healthy (non-greasy non-meat) options. My BF had the fish and chips and ate it all up. I had the fish bits and substituted tots for chips. When they arrived I could barely discern which were which. Lol. The tots were perfectly cooked. The bits were also but the fish inside seemed to be lower quality and chewy texture. And oily. I liked the atmosphere of this casual, trendy restaurant. I'm so glad my daughter brought us here for lunch. I would also have like to have come here for dinner. Because they have a good band that plays there at night too she said. I had the artichoke appetizer which was very good with a nice sauce to go with it. My husband had a delicious pickle burger. I also had a apples walnut salad with a balsamic dressing that was delicious and huge. I also really liked how the presentation of the food. I've came here couple times during busy dinner hours and service and food are great. The drink menu is wonderful. One time I told the bartender what I like and he whipped Me up something not on the menu. I loved it. Waiters take your order and bring drinks quickly. The food came out in a decent time. I requested they be brought out as they are done and not all together to avoid other plates getting cold. And they were brought out within minutes of each other. Pretty happy about their kitchen management. Food is traditional American. Burgers are good. Ribs are great. Cajun pasta flavor was heavy but creamy and good. My niece had called several days in a row to make sure our party would have the back room as we wanted to eat together, family and friends. Mediocre service and basic bland food gets three stars. We had a group of about 8 or so about three weeks ago. It was about 100 plus and our server struggled to refresh our waters. My entree was the habanero burger, I asked for the habanero sauce on the side and I substituted fries for onion rings. The burger was cooked well however lacked seasoning. The sauce by itself was just overly spicy and absent of flavor. The onion rings tasted like basic frozen fried onion rings. The beer I ordered wasn't bad that's where the extra star goes. read more

I've been trying to come to this place for MONTHS. Each time we've tried it's been SUPER busy, total bummer. But. I was finally able to come in on at Sunday afternoon, and it wasn't packed. Chicken wings, Deep fried pork, fried pickles, and "quesadillas". This plate was incredibly OFFENSIVE. First of all the quesadilla, was nothing but a tortilla and plastic Kraft cheese that they folded and put on a hot pan. I was not expecting that the first bite, but we didn't finish that. Deep fried pork was so overly fried they didn't taste like anything, I broke one to look inside of it, and it was dark brown and hard, pork should not be fried that long, we also didn't finish these either. The actual crust on the pork bites or whatever had no seasoning in the batter, just fried. I am not a big pickle person, and this was the first time I had tried deep fried pickles, still not a fan. The chicken wings were LOVELY tho, sticky and not too sweet, I should've just ordered those honestly. Onto our main dish, my Mother had a hamburger she DID love it, they cooked it JUST at the right temp, it was pink on the inside with a nice crust. I did taste her burger, it was very good, I almost made her share hers with me. Now my burger, I can't remember the name of it but it had assortments of meats in one, and their house made bacon I believe, and I requested blue cheese, I THINK or it came on it. I don't know, but. This hamburger gave me nightmares. The burger patty itself, I don't know what they gave me, but the texture was SO OFF putting. I honestly felt like it had rubber in it. When I tried to break a piece to taste it, it wouldn't even break, I had to dig my nails in it to break it. I have a texture phobia I am aware, but this I struggled, I COULD not finish it. It was so overwhelming biting into it. When my teeth bit into the patty, it spread so odd like in my mouth after the first bit, I legit wanted to pull my teeth out one by one. Just thinking of it now, and just NO, But the sweet potato fries, are BOMB. There is one item on the menu that would bring me back essentially, and that is the "Let's Get Naked and Start A Revolution". This drink is no BS, it is amazing. Probably one of the best cocktails in Modesto. Our waiter said that it is a favorite, and I understand why. The first sip I was like OK, it's alright. Flavor was it was good, it was there, didn't think it was too strong. But no let it kick in. Drink two of these, I understand the "Naked" part. Could easily see that happening. Whoever made up this drink is a genius. I won't ever come back to this restaurant for food because I know how I am, but I would return for drinks, matter fact THAT DRINK, via Uber though, can't drink this beverage, more than one rather and drive anywhere. read more

We also ordered the Homemade Chips, which were really good, but sprinkled excessively with sea salt. If they chill on the salt a tad bit, it would make this appetizer phenomenal! The Apple Walnut Salad was good. It was my sister's pick. I'm not really a salad kinda girl, I'd pick soup over salad any day, but for a salad it did the trick. It had fresh pieces of apple, lettuce, raisins, walnuts, and a light dressing. From my understanding, they have live music on the weekends. The band tonight was very entertaining & played everything from Neil Diamond to Robin Thicke's, Blurred Lines. Our expectations were pretty high due to the buzz of the place. We liked the food, but was it memorable? Ehh. The service kind of killed it for us. Went during the week for dinner. The place was a little busy, but the servers and the hostess didn't really seem to know what was going on. They tried to seat us at the end of the long booth that runs the length of the wall and literally has 1/2 of a table attached to the end. There was a table directly in front of that so we asked to be sat there and the hostess got completely flustered and finally said, I guess it's ok. Didn't see our server for 10 minutes. Ordered drinks and appetizers. Ordered burgers and told server we'd like our egg over easy and she said, "no sorry, they come fried." Ummmm...yeah but we'd like it over easy...so it's a bit runny in the middle. "oh no," she said, the eggs aren't runny here but when you bite into them they squirt all over you." LOL! Ok sounds good. Had to ask for refills each time, yada yada. So service is what lowered my rating, but the food is pretty good. I ordered the Philly and my husband got a burger. A big shout out to Rivets. We went in yesterday for lunch. Of course we ordered our favorite sandwich, the Drunken Turkey. It was delicious as always. But what we were most impressed with was their preparation for reopening after SIP due to Covid 19. All tables are separated from each other with installed plastic separators. The server was masked. We could see other tables carefully cleaned with a spray disinfectant and paper towels. Such a great job and thank you for keeping our safety a priority. read more
