We didn't buy our Subaru from here, but the service was great! When first arriving we drove into the Chevorlette dealership. Didn't even have a chance to step OUT of our car before someone was literally on top of us. When we told him we were wanting to get to Subaru he said he we should ask for "___". We did not want to ask for "____", we wanted to browse without being harassed the second we stepped foot on the property. So we got to Subaru, who had a few reps standing outside. I was unsure of where their Crosstreks were, so we asked. A nice girl named Hannah showed us to them. I instantly clicked with her. She didn't seem pushy of salesman-y at all. She listened to what I wanted and showed me what they had. She answered all of my questions I had about the car. She brought her manager over when she realized she was not going to be able to give me the car I was wanting. The manager, whose name I have already forgotten (terrible memory in my 30s already-ugh) was very nice and again, not pushy. Actually he was genuinely wanting to help get the car in the color I was set on. I ended up leaving without a car because the color I wanted was no longer being made and I wanted to wait to see what the 2019 colors looked like. I was very appreciative of how understanding they were. No one was trying to force anything on me, I didn't feel overwhelmed, I actually felt like they were looking out for my best interest and its rare to come across a salesman who can make you feel that way. I been going here for a while to service my cars and lately service been awful. I schedule a 0730 appointment for state inspection expecting to be an hour job, and I even asked the red hair lady and she said hour or less. An hour and half pass by asked the same lady again she said they about to bring it out I said oh ok. Stayed outside waiting for my car for about 20 minutes and car roll into the lift to get inspected almost 2 hours after my appointment waited another hour for the state inspection to be done. What is the purpose of appointment? 3 hours for state inspection with an early appointment. Not a happy customer. read more

We had the best experience at this dealership! The staff was all very friendly, and knowledgeable. We went to the dealership to "just look at" and compare the Ascent and the Outback. We were helped by Anthony and Jasmine, and never once felt pressured (which I have never experienced at a dealership), but they were both so helpful in answering all of our questions. We ended up buying a 2019 Outback Touring and couldn't be happier. This is our very first Subaru ever and so far it has exceeded ALL of our expectations. We've been loyal Toyota and Honda customers for years, but I really wanted to try a Subaru. My nephew is a mechanic and highly recommended them for being reliable and easy to service, if needed, and the recent Consumer's Reports confirmed the quality and safety. We contacted both RK and Perry Subaru, but it was RK that won our business. RK was a plus on response time and inventory. Chris Brennan reached out to us from the Web contact within hours, and was great about spending several hours with us driving multiple vehicles (both my husband and I wanted to drive each one!). In the end, we wound up ordering the vehicle in order to get our desired Outback color and options, and we appreciated Chris' low-pressure service and concern that we get the right vehicle for us. I've been driving this car for six weeks now and just love it. The safety features are the best available and the Eyesight system keeps us all aware of lane departures, blind spots, and other changes in driving conditions. We tend to keep our cars for 10 years or more, and I'm sure we'll be happy with this one for at least that long. We also purchased the extended MANUFACTURER's warranty, which is a huge plus compared to other companies who want to shuffle you off to a third party for extended warranty. read more

I had taken my Forester in for scheduled maintenance and was pleased with the customer service I had received. I went around 11:00 on a weekday and there was hardly a wait (I did not have an appointment). I was greeted by Stephanie, who was very courteous and friendly. It took an hour and a half to complete the service. I don't have any complaints about the waiting room-- The TV was working and there was plenty of seating available. The only issue I had was regarding not receiving information about a choice of regular vs. synthetic oil. Afterward, I received a courtesy call and email from Subaru asking how the service went. They are very serious about making sure customers are happy. I will be taking my car back here in the future for maintenance. Oh, I did have another small issue regarding special-ordering touch-up paint from the parts department. I was told I'd receive a call when it came in but never did. read more

These fools held my car hostage for 2 hours, then pulled it back around saying the part was not in stock (but it was) then proceeded to break the latch and give me the car back more raggedy than it was when I dropped it off. I don't think they could fix a ham sandwich. read more

Was amazing, and really went way out of her way to make sure that we got the vehicle that we wanted. This is for the service department I dropped my car off at 1030am for an oil change and did not receive a phone call until 3pm that my car was finally finished and is ready for pick up. Do not come here on the weekends this is the longest I have waited here. Usually takes two hours for an oil change today took 5 hours! Absolutely the best experience I've had in customer service in general. Please go to Karley, she was absolutely the best. I already knew I wanted a Subaru but if there was any doubt she would have dissolved it. It was nice to have someone who was very knowledgeable helping. Any question we had she could answered. We had a lot of them too and she never got frustrated or annoyed that we kept asking questions either. She had a gentleman who was getting trained and shadowing her and she was great with him too. The best part about our experience with Karley was how personable she was during the entire process. It felt like we'd known her forever and it didn't feel like a tedious process. The whole process took maybe 3 hours and that was loads better then our previous experience at a dealership in a different state where from start to finish was a week and a half before we even had the car. What an awesome car buying experience! I came in to look at a Subaru Forrester or Outback with my 3-year-old daughter. After parking and getting out of the car, we were greeted by Steve M. He was very friendly and made it a point to tell us that he was all about the specs and finding the right Subaru for us, with zero pressure on the sales end. All car salesmen say that, right? Well, Steve and his partner, Carly, were TRULY no-pressure (as was everyone we encountered during the purchase process). They were kind and accommodating with my daughter for over 5 hours (no easy feat with a young child!), listened to our needs, and actively fought to meet those. Even the "big boss" (you know, the one salesmen pull over to close the deal for them, with the really stern attitude and "no-nonsense, this is the final deal, we are actually losing money" line) was kind, a great listener, and did the legwork to get us where we wanted to be. The financial guy was also friendly and fun to work with as we closed the deal. And may I add, we kept them all there (unintentionally, I promise!) way past closing time and they were all still joyfully working to get us home in our new Outback (yep, I went with the Outback!). My credit was great, and after waiting a bit with no answer, I TOLD HIM, AND THE DEALERSHIP NOT TO RUN MY CREDIT, AS it can and will make a hit. He assured me, shook hands, I called him, texted him and emailed him. Guess what this low life criminal did.... yes he ran it. Long story short: I lost my GPS SD card for my Impreza. The radio and the back-up camera were still working along with the 12v outlets. THEN: My wifed needed an oil change and tire rotation so she took it to Frank Subaru in San Diego. They did the rotation and oil change and "updated" something. I don't know what and they could not tell me or my wife. All I know is that when my wife left, the radio stopped working as did the 12v outlets and camera. When she went back, they said she needed a $500 SD card(!) and everything would "work" again. She and later I explained to them that it was all working fine before they "updated" it and that they needed to fix it. They refused and we transferred to Norfolk, VA. NOW: I needed a state inspection and took it to RK Subaru. Met with Stephanie Blevins in Service. She said it would be about $100 to take a look at it and $16 for the inspection. After a short wait, she said our car was done. She said that in order for the GPS to work, we would need the SD card, (which we figured). She said unfortunately that it would be $400. We declined and got ready to shell out $116. THEN, she said that they did the troubleshooting on the radio for free and only charged us $16!! BONUS: whatever they used to "troubleshoot" fixed the radio, camera, and 12v outlets! Not sure they did it on purpose to win our business or not but that does't matter. What matters is they took GREAT care of us and won a customer! I couldn't be happier with the service. And Stephanie was AWESOME! (She would have been awesome even if they had charged for the troubleshooting.) GREAT JOB! read more

The first part of my test drive was great! The salesperson was very engaging and knew her information. When it came down to the pricing, she had a floor "manager" come talk to me. It was clear that he was only interested in my money and could careless about what I was saying. I get that being a sales person can be a difficult job because you have to deal with people who are rude, but you at least need to be some what personable. He was not and could barley make eye contact with me when speaking to me. After multiple attempts at trying to break off the "conversation" I was finally able to walk out of the store. Just purchased a Crosstrek after owning a VW for 15 years. I was a little intimidated by the whole process as it had been a while since I'd purchased a car. Steve was great. He responded to my online inquiry immediately and scheduled a test drive. I was not looking forward to the sort of high pressure salesmanship that you usually find at car dealerships. That was not the case with Steve. He gave me all the information I needed and I walked away after that first visit not feeling the stress I thought I would. Where do I begin? I cannot thank Greg enough for taking such great care of my son during his 1st new car purchase. He is in the military stationed in Norfolk and was working with another dealership that told him they would hold an incoming WRX for him while he was on patrol, and then sold it anyway. I contacted Greg and explained the situation, and he promised us a better experience. He did not disappoint. Upon my sons return from patrol, he went to the dealership and Greg and Britney worked with him on his trade, even helping him "shop" it around to get the best deal, drove him to a credit union to get his financing squared away and were able to work with the vehicle price in order for it to all fit within his budget. It means the world to a mom who is over 3,000 miles away to have the comfort of knowing her son was in good hands. After 7 years of owning a Honda S2000, it was becoming unpractical with a 3 year old child. I have always been a fan of the STIs and felt it was time for a change. Several emails later between James Taylor and I, it was time to make the change. James did everything within his power to get me at the right monthly payment. We both knew that i wasn't leaving without an STI that night. I make it a point to familiarize myself with the specs of the car I am purchasing before I even come in to test drive, let alone buy one. I asked questions I already knew the answers to and James answered them flawlessly. Ever since i was 16, I have only dealt with Hall Auto and they have always done right by me but Hall does not sell Subarus within their vast market. This is for service, not sales, which are apparently an amazing experience based on reviews. I have consistently waited 2 hours per service appointment. I don't understand why an oil change and tire rotation take 2 hours. They don't have a shuttle on Saturdays, so you are stuck here. The staff is friendly, but it still doesn't make up for the wait. They have a skeleton staff on the weekends, understandable. Maybe make the appointments reflect that and stop squeezing in people and making them wait forever. For some reason it's only the Subaru side. The Chevy people fly by dropping off and picking up their cars . It's fun to count them as I sit here. Sometimes when I get fed up with waiting I will go ask them what is taking so long and they grab my keys and ring me up. I'm not sure what the issue here is, but I lack the desire to track it down. I will not be coming back either. If you have the time and are just dropping off a car, you will probably be fine. If not, enjoy wasting a couple hours. read more
