We initially called RMB Plumbing for what we thought would be a simple faucet replacement which we was causing a minor leak. After Ray checked out the sink and pipes, he discovered more issues. We do live in an older property and the I believe the piping is original (mid-90s). Ray Brown and crew have done many jobs at our home. We love his responsiveness and quality of the work. He and his team tackled some very tough jobs under the house including a cracked "Y" connection and leaking sink drain that required a new clean out. His team also fixed an incorrectly routed water main that required cutting galvanized old pipe. Today RMB Plumbing came out within one day of our call to snake out a clogged washing machine / softener drain. Next week RMB will use a jet technique to clean all of our home's drains. Shower had low pressure. Called RMB, because of all the high ratings and availability on Sundays. Spoke to Ray (owner?)...did not provide a quote but I didn't ask. Ray-informed me that he was going to send someone, between 10am-12pm. He's assistant (Jose), arrived by 12:30pm. Did not receive any notification of late arrival. Jose-checked water pressure and basically needed to be cleaned and adjusted. Took about 5minutes Was told that the charge for a Sunday visit was $200.00, guessing that it's a flat rate, for a non-emergency call. Will probably use them again, when I start remodeling my bathrooms but will make sure I ask for a quote. read more

We returned home late the evening before Christmas eve to find our garage soaked with water and our water heater dribbling the last gurgles of 40 gallons of water onto the floor. Yikes! This is our new home we just purchased about a month ago - lucky for the home warranty we thought! Wrong - long story - this review is for Ray, not the home warranty company (you'll get yours National... be warned)... so, I go onto Nextdoor and search for "help, my water heater is broken" - of course our neighbors have had the same problem. One thread said "call Ray, he comes in an hour." By now it's Christmas eve morning and I thought "yeah, right, but that would be a Christmas miracle if it were true" and urged my husband to call him. Ray answered right away and said "yeah, I can do that and I'll be there in about an hour and a half." Same price the warranty company gave us, perfect. I went out to the grocery store and did a little shopping while leaving my poor husband to deal with this fiasco. However, when I came home, my husband was all smiles. He, Ray and an apprentice were in the garage having a great time, music playing and I was told "you're getting hot water baby!" Yay - I needed a shower. During the procedure, my husband offered to help but there wasn't much he could to do to make it go any faster. So he, Ray and the apprentice chatted the entire time about the weather, Christmas, the cool car in the garage, tools, and lots of other guy garage topics while Ray swiftly worked and replaced the water heater without missing a beat. He made it look easy - well for him, it IS easy! The best part came when Ray was done working... they sparked up the really cool car in the garage (it's a guy thing - they like to hear how loud the engine is) and continued to chat for a bit. We told him we were recently married he told us he is also a minister and performs weddings. Ray then asked if he could do a blessing for us. He was very respectful and not forcing of his religion on us - I am Catholic very much welcomed this blessing. So, we stood in a circle, while he blessed our marriage, our new home AND our new water heater! That's the best home warranty one could ask for! Take that National! read more
