Beware this dentist. I don't often write Yelp reviews but I feel I have a duty to keep others from experiencing the same unethical service. I came in for a simple cleaning, and then my insurance charged me for several x-rays which I did not ask for. After letting Dr. Rosie's office know about this, she said that "we could make arrangements otherwise" if I continued treatment with her - essentially trying to blackmail me into continuing treatment with her office. On top of this, when I informed her I was relocating and seeing another dentist and needed comprehensive exam results, she mentioned she would send them to me and did not. After calling her, she again asserted that she sent them and then hung up the phone. Based on this behavior she clearly does NOT have the health of her patients in mind and I would highly recommend seeing another provider for your dental health. read more

I came in for a cleaning because a popcorn kernel got stuck behind my wisdom tooth. When I walked in, I was greeted and asked to fill out paperwork. I was seen almost immediately. I was in extreme pain and Dr. Nosratabadi inspected the area and found plaque build up. With careful consideration, we ended up removing my wisdom tooth. She numbed my mouth and continuously checked in with my comfortability and made me feel safe. Dr. Nosratabadi also has a sense of humor and made me feel important by asking me about my story. I'm a long standing patient who made an appointment 3 weeks ago upon a call received requesting me to make an appointment. I arrived for my appointment at noon and by 2 PM only had X-rays done. My appointment was for a cleaning. There were patients arriving after my wait of 2 hours. As she is getting started on my cleaning her assistant comes in and says "The new patient has to leave and wants to reschedule." She gets up from my cleaning to talk to the new patient and 5 minutes later returns to tell me "I have to wait." Excuse me? It's 3 PM at this point. I do not have to do anything & I certainly do not have to sit there like a duffus to be taken advantage of over a new patient? I made an appointment for 8:30 and spoke with her over the phone about this the week before in person. The morning of the appointment I arrived just a few minutes early. The door was locked so I called. She assured me she'd be there but also said then I'd need to pay an additional fee due to this being outside of her normal working hours. She never discussed this before with me and really insisted this was policy I should somehow have known about. I canceled the appointment and made on the following morning with another dentist. It's a shame because I think she is good at her work but it's not the first time her weird way of running her business has caused me issue. Once she didn't show up at all. Another time she got really freaked out and lectured me about having my phone out while I was waiting because she was afraid I was taking pictures. Of what? And why would that be a problem if I were? My first meeting with Dr. N was a last-minute Saturday appointment (booked via ZocDoc) where she relieved me of some enormous pain I was experiencing. I'd already been cancelled on by a different dentist, do when Dr. N called me to confirm my appointment with her 10 minutes after I'd booked, I already felt like I was in good hands. I ended up having to get more work done than I expected (apparently chewing ice religiously for 15+ years is a bad idea - listen to your dentist kids), but Dr. N handled everything with grace and timeliness. I was in and out in a few hours. It really meant a lot to me that she stayed so late on a Saturday. Personality wise (this is important for dentists and doctors, I think): she's straightforward, funny, and quite candid - all of which I appreciate. She basically made me swear an oath to never chew ice again, but I'm not even mad. :) She carefully went over all of my options with me, was upfront and fair about the pricing and didn't try and push me into agreeing to do anything. I had plenty of time to decide what I'd like to do, and Dr. N never tried to push past my choices. So the extraction? I didn't feel anything! I got a call two days later from the Dr. herself to check-up on me and my progress. Do people even do that anymore? An easy 5 stars! I've found my new dentist! read more

I've been coming to this dental office since June 2015, I initially had braces that I received elsewhere prior to coming here. I had a space in my teeth that was closed, but needed to stay closed permanently. I had a consultation that went extremely well in which Dr. Rozita was able to tailor the right treatment for me. Not only will she come up with the right treatment for you, but she also give great discounts on some of her treatments provided as well. Dr. Nosratabadi has gone above and beyond to save my tooth. I was originally going to a dentist in the Manhattan Beach area and went in for a filling, they took a couple looks at it and said I need a root canal. A wave of heat flooded over my face as I got worried that I let it go for so long. They gave me the paper work and the final cost was $1000+ after insurance. I was referred to Dr. Nosratabadi by family and they swore up and down by her so I called and was able to make an appointment for the next evening. Gasping at the fact the previous doctor had quoted me $1000+ for a root canal after insurance, she took a couple looks at my situation and told me I didn't need a root canal and that she could fix it. She told me that it was bad, and if not put in the right care, it very well may need a root canal but she was going to try her best to fix it. I came in on a Saturday. A Saturday. Meaning I didn't have to take a day off work or leave early to show up for the appointment. We were done in about an hour and a half and she took amazing care of my mouth and fixed my tooth. I cannot recommend Dr. Nosratabadi as she is the best dentist I've ever visited. I will definitely be going back. read more

This review is long overdue, but that was my worst dental experience ever! Let me break down the good, the bad and the ugly: The Good: Small office, receptionist is professional. Dentist numbs you a lot so you don't feel much pain (good for those who are super scared of pain), you just get some discomfort. For me additionally it's in a good location as it's quite near my house (but that's just me). The Bad: Parking (underground) is $$, no validation, if you want to park free, you have to park in the neighborhood behind, and walk there. Now let's get to THE UGLY! This dentist has no integrity. maybe professional, but no moral character. Do not entrust your precious teeth to her. On top of having a doubtful character, she is extremely rude, not so much to the customer, but to her staff. I usually don't care, but her tone of voice was unbearable, so bossy and demanding, I actually had to look up several times and I felt so bad for her dental assistant (very rare for me, I usually don't give a shit!). She was like, go do this, go do that, why aren't you doing this, why didn't you listen, why are you so stupid, etc. I went there many times and each time there was a different assistant, so supposedly the previous one got fired. If you think your boss is a mean asshole, come here and witness how Dr. Rozita Nosratabadi treats her staff. Even the receptionist seem so scared of her. Her attitude towards her patients is not as rude, of course, we are paying customers, but she is still far from being friendly. Quite stern, no smile, a lot of fear tactics, scaring you with "if you don't spend X amount of $ doing this and that procedure, super bad things are going to happen to your teeth" etc. There is no need for that fear mongering, really. Just turn people off. And making people think you are just thirsty for their money. There are a few other things that made me question her integrity. I don't trust her and will never return. And guys, she doesn't listen, she talks and talks, if you ask a question, she cuts you off midway, and talks like she is pissed off and reprimanding you. Extremely bossy and distasteful woman. Maybe she is under a lot of stress but that's no way of treating other human beings. I had not gone back since my last visit two months back as I have found another dentist - in the same building!! LOL. I wonder how can Dr. Rozita Nosratabadi afford to have such a crappy attitude when the competition in this area is so high. I won't be surprised if she is losing customers. CUSTOMERS BEWARE!!! Hi All, I want to save you guys to the trip with this dentist. As soon as you walk in they make you think that the place is great and the doctor is very friendly, but her practice is extremely sloppy and very bad. I got a crown from doctor but its been a month now and the crown bleeds every day. She did my crown is such a hurry because she was short staffed. The doctor is the receptionist, she manages the billing and she also does the crown. She is so staffed and the talk is all bullshit about providing quality service. Moreover when I was there I was told that crown will be completely covered by my insurance but there were hidden charges and now the doctors office calls me to threaten me and send me to the collection agency. ZERO STARS..BEWARE!!! I have quite a few issues with this office but this review is in regards to ortho. This office was a total rip off. Dr. Rosie lied about pricing for braces and did an absolutely HORRIBLE job. She'll put on a front and will talk a good game as if she knows ortho when she clearly does not. She finally brought in a REAL orthodontist who actually seems decent. The issue is she tends to go against and contradicts what he says when clearly she has no knowledge of what she's talking about. I was told that my daughter was at the end of her treatment for many months. When the braces were supposed to come off she had the nerve to try and charge me over $1000 for more work when according to her and the REAL orthodontist she should have been done. Because I refuse to pay any more money to this rip off dentist I've been to several orthodontist and they've all said that my daughter's teeth are no where close to where they should be after dealing with this rip off office for approximately 3 years. This office was a referral from a co worker that I wish I never followed through on. Terrible and shame on you Dr Rosie for the job that was done on my daughter's teeth. Today I had my first appointment with Dr. Nosratabadi. When I scheduled my appointment, her staff emailed me the initial paperwork that I'd to fill out. So when I arrived at her office, I didn't have to wait at all. She took me to the exam room and proceeded with taking full x-rays of my teeth, followed by a detailed examination. Fortunately my teeth were in a good shape and all I needed was a cleaning. Dr. Nosratabadi does all the cleanings herself and she probably spent 20-30 minutes to clean and polish my teeth. I reluctantly went to a free cleaning that was offered as a promotion, and much to my surprise found an amazing dentist instead of....well I'm sure everyone has had a bad experience somewhere. I had been avoiding going to the dentist because the last two I had made minor dental work synonymous with pain and recuperation. I had a root canal done yesterday that was so painless, I believe I dozed off once or twice during the procedure. Your comfort is always of paramount concern. After going to the dentist office near my home, and being presented with a "highly necessary" treatment plan that was going to cost me $1400, I decided to get a second opinion from Dr. Nosratabati. she is very hands on and very thorough. She reviewed my X-Rays with me and showed me that the previous information I was given was false....relieved to hear that I did NOT have 6 cavities, and the treatment I really needed was started the same day. The Dr. was very nice and she did not mind me asking a ton of questions. After all its your mouth...and you should be able to question any treatment plan that is presented to you.
