I arrived around 7pm on a Thursday night and was seated on the patio. I'm usually pretty lenient when service is lacking as I've worked in the service industry but our service was awful. The waitress had mentioned she'd worked there for several years. We started with a couple of waters, a cider and an old fashioned. She forgot our waters but brought them later. There was a man walking around bothering people that the establishment ended up calling the police on. We ordered the shrimp Ceviche as an appetizer, this was absolutely delicious! I ordered the chicken with mac and cheese and a side of brussel sprouts. The chicken was very dry as was the mac and cheese, I would not recommend either of these menu items. I would recommend the brussel sprouts and the cornbread was good. My friend ordered the ribeye and he said it was very good. Our waitress never did a check back to see how we were enjoying our meal but I did flag her down to ask for a box and order dessert which was absolutely delicious. Our waitress brought us our bill before we received our dessert and asked if the dessert was on the ticket... Assuming she forgot if she put it in. This place seems like it wants to be higher end with the interior, menu, pricing but it's not. We sat and waited over 10 min for a server to come to our table and it was not busy at all. She smelled like cigarettes as well. The food itself was just okay. They have "crispy Brussel sprouts" on the menu but they were unbelievably soggy. We went here for a work dinner with a smaller group of about 10-12 people, and in the past we were all able to order whatever we wanted, but this time we had a small little menu given to us to order off of. Not a single person in the group was happy with their order. All of our potatoes were hard and cold, my steak temperature was not correct, and many of the others' steaks were not cooked at the temperature we were told they would be either. The menu stated we would get broccolini, and when the order came we all had Brussel sprouts. We weren't told about the vegetable change and I know most people were not happy with Brussel sprouts so many of us did not touch them which also felt very wasteful. I can't comment on the quality of the food, we never got that far. We we're seated promptly and the server took our drink order but never returned. After 20 minutes we flagged down a different server and asked that he find our person. He returned and told us our server was having a meeting with the general manager. But, the bartender managed to eat her supper at the bar which prompted me to ask about my app 30 min after ordering. Her response - kitchen said it would be 5 min. Yep. The staff was all great and our server was amazing. I had the sausage trio my wife had the soup and my boys put down a full rack of ribs. We also had dessert. I got the crème brûlée, my wife got the triple chocolate brownie with bourbon (which tastes like a butter scotch candy) YUM!!! And the boys also got the triple chocolate brownie minuses the bourbon. From the moment you walk in, this place is a WOW. The decor is beautifully western in a very tasteful way. Great tap beer selection and our food was amazing. Hubby had the brisket sandwich and I had the smoked grape salad. Truly the best salad I think I have ever had. It featured their rotisserie chicken, grapes, bacon, candied almonds and this amazing goat cheese dressing. It will be hard for me to not order the same thing on our next visit, but I have to try their walleye sandwich next. I saw one going to another table and it looked amazing too! Me and family are down in Sioux falls for work and I'm in love with Texas Roadhouse but I saw this restaurant around the corner, it had nice patio with a fire and a bar so of course they already had me at hello!
