Thankfully a chicken sandwich restaurant in the neighborhood that doesn't contribute to hate groups (I hope) and is open on Sundays! The Nashville Hot is excellent. I had mine with mild heat and it was about as hot as other place's spicy sandwiches. The fries were great too. I recommend getting a side of the sriracha mayo and dipping everything in it. read more

Why was no one taking about this place during the whole chicken sandwich war?! Blows Popeye's sandwich out the water. My friend and I tried the OG Nashville and The Club both in hot. When they say hot, they definitely meant it. Both were delicious and came with 3 pieces of pounded chicken. I'd lean toward ordering The Club again, but based on the reviews the Honey Butter is the way to go. Online ordering was easy and probably took about 10 mins for our order to finish. I hear they have tater tots instead of fries for breakfast, which kind of sucks because I think that's the superior potato product. This sandwich definitely packs a punch in both heat and flavor and is accompanied with a fresh, crisp cabbage, jalapeno and cilantro slaw. I came on a pretty busy Friday night rush and waited about 12 minutes for my food. I honestly didn't mind the wait as I understood it was this location's first couple of weeks being open and are still massaging out some kinks. Overall, the staff was friendly. I'm not really a chicken sandwich eater but the mild buttermilk chicken sandwich is addicting!! I loved the butter bun bread! Which add a lot of flavor. I got honey mustard sauce on the side which added more flavor. I didn't care for the sirachi Mayo sauce. I asked for bacon on the side rather than in the sandwich which they messed up :/ but wasn't the worst thing in the world. Called ahead of time and my order was ready at pickup time. I'm not a spicy gurl at all and the mild was plenty spicy. I ordered medium spice wings and OMG they were a major kick of spice. Next time I would order them mild. My daughter ate the mild chicken strips and was fine with the spice. Definitely will order again soon! read more

I finally tried this for the first time the other night and have mixed feelings. First off, the honey butter chicken sandwich, medium heat was absolutely fantastic. Absolutely delicious and matched the hype. I was very impressed. Given that, I was equally as shocked to find that their french fries were so awful. They market them as twice fried and they were actually soggy and limp and completely unappealing. I threw most of them away. A very fixable problem but one they need to correct given what they charge for their food. In review, get the sandwich and pass on the fries. read more

Welcome to Tenleytown! Where have you been? We are loving this new addition to the Tenley food line-up and have it in our rotation. The sandwiches are simply abundant, and the chicken feels like 'real food'--not over processed etc. My two suggestions would be a one patty or 1/2 sandwich option. The double patty is simply too much for me. I am also a huge pickles/slaw and the slaw isn't creamy or acidic (I love tangy slaw). While it adds crunch and balances out the spicier sandwiches, it doesn't add the flavor I seek in the sandwich or as a side. So maybe another slaw or pickle option? Green tomoato pickles? Apple/vinegar slaw? Otherwise, a lot to crow about here! (poor pun) read more

So the first time I had it, I got it delivered through Uber eats. It was cold, soggy, and a little greasy. I was initially turned off but was pretty sure it just didn't travel well. I tried it again a few weeks later picking it up at the store since I work a block away. I was blown away by how good it was. The chicken sandwich is perfect. The chicken is hot and crispy, and the slightly acidic vinaigrette slaw is the perfect balance to the greasy fried chicken. Not a healthy meal, but a good meal. Not to mention, I'm happy to support a local business instead of the Chick-Fil-A across the street. It's much better anyway. read more

I love Roaming Rooster, so I visited this new location. Was pretty disappointed. Fries were super soft and soggy (other RR's have amazing crispy fries). They also charged me for extra sauce (just wanted two honey mustards and two mayos) which really irks me. It's not about the money -- it's just...charging for sauce?! A few squirts in a plastic container? Not a good look for them. I never pay for that when I go to other locations, nor should I have to (if it actually is a rule of theirs). If you want a good repertoire, stop charging people for a few squirts of sauce. I'll go the extra 30 minutes and drive to Bladensburg instead. Step your game up Wisconsin location!
