Service was amazing !! Food was amazing as well. The carne asada was favorable . Ambiance was cool with TVs

Wow! We enjoyed a delicious all you can eat brunch for my Hubby's birthday. Service and food is great. I chose this place since my Husband loves Mexican food. Whaat better than to have an all you can eat. To our surprise it was delicious and such an enjoyable experience. Made to order: chilaquiles, eggs, pancakes, omelettes and freshly heated tortillas of your choice. The bottomless mimosas were quickly refilled and service was excellent. We enjoyed every dish we selected. The selections were great. From soups, ceviches, birria and so much more. I almost don't want to post this review to keep this place a secret, but need to share. Such a great find for delicious food. Come check this place out for yourself. It is such a great experience and well worth the price! The restaurant can accommodate large crowds and has plenty of seating. We are content and glad we found this place. Thanks Yelpers!

The food here is really good. I love the artwork on the walls. Very cozy. You can see right in the kitchen. It's a very small run business

Decided I deserved a treat and ordered from one of my faves. Ordered my usual 2 crispy chicken combo and it didn't disappoint. When I placed my order was told it would be ready in 15 minutes. Showed up in 15 and ready to go. Definitely recommend!

Great local fast food spot. My family and I have been coming here for the past two years, and it's consistently excellent. The service is always top notch, and the food is delicious every time. Highly recommend.

No watered-down salsa, no cold tortillas. Just straight-up flavor done right. Finding a reliable Mexican spot in Sacramento isn't easy, but this place proves itself every time. I've been coming on and off for about nine years, and it's always fresh, made-to-order, and consistent. They kick things off with chips and salsa, and let me tell you-this isn't watered down or that basic "Chipotle style" pico de gallo. It's hearty, homemade, and carries a balanced kick. Enough spice to wake you up, but not enough to scare you off. I started with a mini street taco, and the tortillas come out warm-not cold, not lazy. That detail alone tells you the kitchen cares. Pair that texture with tender, well seasoned asada, and you've got a taco that tastes like it came straight out of someone's home kitchen. The enchiladas michoacanas sealed the deal. The tortillas soak up their bold house sauce, while the cheese, crema, pickled jalapeños, and fresh greens balance everything out. It's flavorful, clean, and plated with pride. Service? Solid. They check in without hovering or pushing, and it feels genuine. Very homie and bit of old and new kind of vibe inside. Add in plenty of parking and a spotless restaurant. Reliable, flavorful, and made with care. Prices? They've definitely crept up over the years, and you'll feel it in your bill. But honestly-in this economy, with costs rising across the board-you can also see why. At least here, you're paying for food that actually tastes like it's worth the price.

The service was amazing. The young lady that greeted us was so welcoming and friendly. The restaurant was clean and I loved the atmosphere. Hubby and I came for the brunch. The food was just ok. The food looked like it had been sitting awhile. I felt like the food could of been hotter (cooked hot). It was like warm temperature. The tortillas and the fruit were fresh. I loved the pancakes and chili rellenos. The pozole had no flavor but my husband enjoyed the menudo. The birria was dry and potatoes were not cooked all the way. Not sure if I would be back.

I can't believe that I have lived in this neighborhood for 33 years and never tried this place!!!! What a great gem!!!! Authentic, delicious, and lots of options!!! Too many options (I'm not complaining), I had a hard time to choose. We settled for enchiladas and the secret family recipe birria. The food was excellent! The portions were huge. If you are not a big eater, one dish can easily be split into two meal. The price was reasonable. This is definitely now my go-to for Mexican food!!! The complimentary chips and salsa were great, although our waitress took them when I was still munching on them, that was a little bit odd. The chips were fresh and most likely homemade. There is a small private parking lot. Inside the restaurant, they have two section for seating. The side that we sat on had comfortable booths. The service was a little bit slow but very friendly.

Roberta's, a great traditional Mexican restaurant always, has added an impressive Sat/Sun brunch buffet! A great selection of items, including omelets and chiliquilles made to order. They've expanded into an adjacent space, adding room for this awesome new upgrade. I really loved it, give it a try!

I found Rosa Madera when searching for "queso" in Yelp...(I really was wanting some queso)…read more Anyways, funnily enough, I read through the menu when I got here and ended up getting nachos in place of the queso...that's fine though, it gave me an excuse to come back another day. It's a nice looking place inside, especially considering its general location. They were busy even at an off hour mid-week, but I can see why because the food is great and so is the atmosphere. My first visit, I tried the following: Enchilada Verde (Lunch Menu), Mini Birria Tacos (Lunch Menu), and Nachos de la Casa (with asada). They also brought out complimentary chicharrones de harina, which was especially nice because I was super hungry! My second visit I had the following: Queso Con Rajás Dip, Los Favoritos, and the Burrito de Carnitas (Lunch Menu). I ended up liking the nachos way more than the queso. I wasn't expecting the queso to just be the consistency of slightly melted cheese. I also wish they were a bit more generous with the chips since I ran out of chips way sooner than the dips. No complaints on my main dish portions though! Really loved most things I've tried. The presentation of my dishes I've ordered here, the Enchilada Verde and the Burrito de Carnitas, was great too. The chicken was just slightly too dry for the Enchilada, but the flavor made up for it. Only complaint is while the service was nice, it was SO slow both times I've been here. It took forever to get the check and when they did bring out the card reader you can't see the receipt, only a total. Then their lowest automatic tipping button is set at over 22% (with two higher percent options), which is honestly crazy to me since most places start at around 18%. I way overtipped on accident the first time I came. I think it's highly likely they get overtipped for this reason, which is nice for them but kind of not fair to the customer. I'll continue to return!

The consomme was made from the broth used to slow cook the beef used in the quesabirrias. The quesabirrias were delicious when dipped in the consomme. The nachos contained tomato, onion, cilantro, guacamole, jalapenos, radishes, carne asada, and cheese under fresh tortilla chips. All the ingredients were of high quality and tasted delicious together. Complimentary chicharrones de harina were served with hot sauce. This is the first time I've been to a restaurant that served complimentary chicharrones de harina. Chicharrones de harina are a Mexican snack that are made from fried wheat flour. Service was good as the workers were friendly and polite. They were short staffed so service was slower than if they were properly staffed. It was surprisingly busy around 2pm on a weekday.

I used it and the salsa to flavor the black beans. However, I really just wanted grilled steak. I should have ordered steak fajitas, a grilled steak burrito or quesadilla, or a carne asada plate. I visited this past Saturday and it was quite busy inside like it always is. The restaurant is large enough to fit a lot of people, so finding a seat isn't an issue. To order, you line up in front of the register and wait until they call you. Once it was my turn, I ordered a Super Burrito with Al Pastor, which is my favorite protein choice there. Usually I order 2 tacos with my burrito but I was saving room for Korean bbq that day! The Super Burrito comes with your choice of meat, rice, beans, salsa, sour cream, guacamole, and cheese. I also ordered a medium pineapple agua fresca, which paired perfectly with my burrito. After ordering, you're handed a number to take to your table so the servers know where to bring your food. As I'm waiting for my food, I helped myself to the self-serve chip bar. The chip bar is my favorite thing about the restaurant besides the food and quick service. I always get loads of both the white and red pickled onions, and some salsa to go with my chips. They offer many sides to choose from so that anyone can customize their meal to their liking. The pickled onions have the perfect level spice and acidity to them which helps with cutting down the greasiness you may get from a burrito. I also like to snack on them for fun too! The food comes out extremely quickly. When I finished placing my order and brought my number to my table, I went to the self-serve bar right after to get some chips. Not even 2-3 minutes later, I came back to my table with my burrito already there! The burrito was absolutely delicious and piping hot. It's the perfect size for me and eating it with the pineapple agua fresca and some chips makes it a perfect meal! Coming to La Favorita Taqueria is always a treat and I appreciate the quick customer service, self-serve bar, and delicious food! They didn't just walk by like frazzled, hurried workers like most restaurants pushing through the crowds. They actually gave me a nice smile and said welcome, and then walked by. And then I got to the reception area found that there was already a pretty big crowd at around the 5:30 PM or so I guess a lot of early birds come to eat there on Sunday. The receptionist asked for how many and said you'd be like a 20 minute wait and there was chairs where people were waiting but it was only like a 15 minute wait. The server was fast with the chips and salsa and ice water and then soon the waiter came and took my order. He was really quick and witty, fun to talk to. What I really enjoyed was as the noise of the table Near quieted down and they left. I saw a young man cleaning up the table and getting it ready for the next group of people. He was dressed really nice and had a tie on. Having been in restaurants most of my life I said to myself, I bet you he works with the owners or something. And I said to him, are your related to people that own the place ? he said my parents own this place. He was very friendly and polite. He told me a tiny bit about the restaurant and how everything had been since 1970, much older than he was, he was only a sophomore in high school I think. I never really got his name, but I was kind of proud of him because he was working hard at his family's restaurant. I ordered probably something bigger than I could eat because I had to take leftovers home, but it was really a tasty meal, and they're coming out with more chips and salsa without being asked, probably didn't help as well as a second lemonade. It's really impressive when you have a well oiled machine and it appeared to me that the people that worked there seem to be happy so that's always a good sign of good management. Several years back, I worked in the restaurant industry doing maintenance and repairs so I went to a lot of different restaurants and saw a lot of things so I know what to look for. I'm definitely gonna come back when my brother and his wife come up from the Bay Area my friend Ivan he'll wanna go there for lunch or dinner I know. The mole also missed the mark for me. The sauce lacked the rich complex flavors I expect from a good mole and the chicken was noticeably dry. The rice, beans and esquites were ok. The nachos on the other hand were quite good. They were flavorful and satisfying and although I thought they were a little heavy-handed with the radishes, I mostly enjoyed the flavors. For for three people the bill came to around $100 after tip which felt a bit steep, especially considering the overall quality of the meal. While this visit didn't live up to my expectations, I'm willing to give Polanco Cantina another shot and probably dine in next time. I have a much better idea now of which dishes to steer clear of and the restaurant itself seemed promising so I'm hoping the experience is improved when the food is enjoyed fresh from the kitchen.
