We went there for dinner. This restaurant is far from the city but it's worth the drive. Friendly service and lots of parking outside. The restaurant has an old feeling but very nice decorated. Their complimentary bread with butter is a nice start while waiting for your meal. We ordered bbq shrimp and grits, salad, river road shrimp, papilotte, catch of the day fish with shrimp and rice. We enjoyed the bread pudding and all the other dishes.

Oh well! This place is a great thing. We went last Saturday with another couple. We arrived a few minutes early and the parking lot was full of customers waiting for the doors to open. Our waitress Savanna was a delight, she was patient and caring. We started with the Road River and we were warned that it was spicy. It was just a kick and absolutely delicious. My husband had the "special" with beef, mushroom risotto and green beans. It was spectacular. I had the sensational salad and the crawfish, red pepper and brie soup, it was a dream This place has amazing food and service.

For Friday date night we decided on Roberto's River Road and it was perfect. We needed a Lenten meal and Roberto's fish options are always fresh so it was an easy choice. After seeing the specials, my husband claimed that he has never like striped bass however our server, Sam B., assured us that we would not be disappointed and we put our trust in him. So glad we did! The visual appearance of the main course was perfect as I have a tendency to eat with my eyes. The fish was light and flakey and seasoned perfectly. The shrimp was delicious and the sauce was incredible. The pasta was perfectly cooked and had that little kick in the marinara. The haricots verts were fabulous as always! I usually get fried green tomatoes topped with crab maison however, accidentally ordered the eggplant crab cakes. It ended up being very serendipitous as we loved them possibly even more! Finally, the bread pudding was excellent and everything rich foods in south Louisiana are about. Literally bite after bite of no regrets! Sam, our server was more like a tour director taking us on a visual, savory and sweet tour of perfection in dining in a small, quaint south Louisiana setting. My only critique is that even though the handcrafted "Fall Spiced Old Fashioned" is amazing, the glass is too small for a $15 cocktail. Also, I additionally wish they had a larger glass so we could have a proper rock. All in all, Roberto's is consistent for a win every time.

Food and service are great. I'd heard about this place for a long time and I'm glad I finally tried it

Roberto's is a little piece of paradise! We started out with the eggplant crab cakes - which were to die for! The flavor was robust and melted in your mouth leaving your tastebuds mouthwatering with every bite. We were served promptly for a Wednesday evening. They surprisingly had several decent sized parties for a weekday but the service was phenomenal. We each had an entrée served with a salad and bread. The half a roasted duck is amazing. The amount was large enough to feed two people. The fried catfish and shrimp were perfectly crispy with amazing flavor - very well seasoned. Roberto's is great about substituting items! The restaurant hide a quiet vibe, next time I think we will sit in the bar area since this is more our scene but overall highly recommend this restaurant. We will be back!

Geaux Fish Market…read more 9958 Burbank Dr, Baton Rouge, LA 70810 #tonylameats This was my 1st time pulling up to @Geaux Fish Market and I'm not gonna lie, this concept is Brilliant! You can literally pick your out fish and have them cook it right there. Like how fresher can it get?? I chose the Louisiana Red Snapper since it's one of my favorite fish to eat. I had to go crazy with it: * Fried Seafood Sampler: Fresh-cut US catfish, jumbo shrimp, and Louisiana oysters. That catfish?? It's easily the meatiest I've ever had; crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. * Louisiana Red Snapper this was my "foodie victim" but man, it was super tender, light crisp, just melts when you bite into it. Lowkey, it's one those hole-in-the-wall spots you don't expect to hit like this but it does, on a whole another level. I'll definitely be back. What I liked the most about going there to pick up my food was the cleanliness and the customer service. I loved loved loved the flavor of the fried red snapper. 10/10. And while I did think the grilled fish was good, it wasn't as seasoned as the fried one. I think the side worth getting is definitely the yellow rice. You should definitely check them out if youre looking for a place to buy fresh fish to cook at home also.

We decided to split lots of appetizers since we knew a meal wouldn't do well sitting out in the car, and they honestly have such a great selection of appetizers that I never get past this them to the entrees. We started with the baked Brie and the Thai-ger shrimp. The baked Brie is a staple for me, and the pastry is so light that I could just go for this and eat a whole order by myself. It was our first time getting the shrimp but it definitely won't be the last! They were sweet with the right amount of spice. We followed it up with the crawfish and eggplant (my favorite!) and a crab cake. Hayden was our server and we cannot say enough good things about him. He engaged in conversation and remembered things we mentioned. He was pleasant and always was there before we could think about needing anything. I saw that they have a good number of appetizers and drinks available on the happy hour menu, so this may become a new happy hour spot.

I loved the ambiance for this restaurant! Business casual and upscale vibes but not too fancy. When we were waiting to enter our room, there were several water leaks in the roof that kept dropping on us. It was in several places in the host stand areas. I didn't like this because I kept having to move. When we got to the room, again, it was nice and big. We didn't have a prefixed menu, so we got to order whatever we would have liked from the regular menu. There was such a good variety of options! I got the Brussels sprouts and boudin dip to start. I highly recommend both of these as the portion sizes were huge! The Brussels sprouts were burnt and balsamic like, which is my absolute favorite. The boudin dip came with so many crackers and was delicious. For my meal, I got the chicken paillard. It was good but the portion was very small compared to the appetizers in my opinion. The chicken was very moist and flavorful. It filled me up because I had two appetizers, but I don't think it would be enough for me without having something to go with it.

I do understand that when you cook them they shrink but to totally disappear was not expected. Nothing but a shell full of burnt parmesan cheese and liquid butter. And not to mention the price. The rest of the food was pretty average nothing to get excited about except for the prices. Also portion sizes were on the smaller size. I never ordered a seafood platter at Deaneies and walked out hungry? Which bring me to the 3% credit card charge which does also include the tax and they make sure you know this. Tell me what this is all about Dragos. Is this just your way of saying thanks customer we hope to never see you again? Try and make the percentage make sense. So if my bill is 20 dollars I am charged 3 percent of 20 but if my bill is 500 dollars the of course the charge is substantially higher ?? Is there a reason it is not a flat fee? Not like the wait staff had to do anything extra to swipe a 500 dollar card ?? Make this make sense?? Do yourself a favor and skip Dragos next time you want something to eat

We got here about 11:30 so it was happy hour. The restaurant wasn't busy so we got sat immediately. The service was amazing. Our food and drinks came out incredibly fast. We started with the blackened alligator for an appetizer and this was tasty but I'm still sticking with Chimes! I got the happy hour margarita which was okay but they I tried the Ghost margarita.( if I'm remembering it correctly) I should've been getting that drink from the start omg. The presentation alone made me love the drink. The ice, the tajin, omg it was good. I decided on the beef short rib and wasn't disappointed. The short rib was so tender, very flavorful. The dish was a bit on the oily side for me, more gravy would have been nice. Beside that I loved this meal. My date had the seafood pasta with shrimp and crabmeat. They give you a decent amount of crabmeat. He enjoyed his food so no complaints! I'll definitely be back.
