Incredible local and family owned cafe. I love coming here, they always make me feel welcome. The staff and owners are great, and food is really high quality with great ingredients and unique sandwich ideas! Love the sliders =) Coffee is delicious. Vibe is awesome. Great place to work and hang out for a bit.

Wandered into this cute cafe for a matcha latte to go and ended up sitting down to enjoy the tastiest steak sandwich and a freshly baked chocolate chip cookie, too! The ambiance was Insta-worthy, the service was friendly and prompt. Cookies were just out of the oven and the sandwich was made to order with an amazing pepper sauce, fresh greens, melted mozzarella (or a choice of cheddar) and tender steak. I spoke to Enrique who said they bake everything fresh and the bread for the sandwiches is ordered from Panorama everyday. Love that it was chewy inside and crispy on the outside but not enough to give you roof rakers. A neighborhood gem.

Robin's Cafe is an absolute gem cafe in the mission district. It is very spacious and the staff is very friendly. I always get either the Chipotle steak or Pork Belly sandwich. Both of these sandwiches are very tasty, meaty, crunchy, and i highly recommend! I'm not a big eater, but dare i say, I could eat two in one seating. It's close to Dolores park as well, so you can even stop by to grab a sandwich before heading to the park.

I always drive by this coffee shop and never have time to stop by, until last weekend. I was meeting a friend and we're deciding we're to meet, I remember this place since we were going to Dolores Park afterwards. The place was not busy, a couple of people outside/inside. Plenty of seat+tables in the back since they share the space with ODC The service was quick, informative, & pleasant. The food was quiet flavorful and quiet delicious. Presentation was on point Coffee was good, I had a drip and my fiend had a cappuccino and he quiet liked it. It was an overall wonderful experience. I would come back in I find myself in the neighborhood again. Would recommend.

What I got: Green Matcha Latte w/half&half and honey Avocado toast as listed on menu I had a great time, this meal was delicious! For $15 it's a high price but the quality and presentation were phenomenal. I thoroughly enjoyed sipping the foamy goodness of the latte while I did business on my phone. Mmm that was the best latte I've had all year!! I loved this meal! The toast was crunchy around the edge, soft in the center, well buttered too. The 'cado was tasty, no wrongdoings to be found. Likewise with the hardboiled eggs. The salt topping was so good! Service was fast too! I sat down at 10:32am and had my meal served by 10:40am. Big props these people are working hard!! If it's like this a second and third time, five stars for you!!

The roasted mushroom sandwich. Those are shimeji mushrooms (im guessing), stringy mushrooms. Hosin sauce was a bit much. Will try to ask for no hosin sauce. Avocado was really good as well as their bread that was crunchy and held everything together. The side salad was good (always good to have greens). Next time try their hot chocolate made themselves. Nice place to hang out using the ODC lobby. Sunny outside too.

    Roasted chipotle steak sandwich

Great place for lunch with tasty sandwiches. My work ordered Robin's Cafe for lunch and it was a solid spot for a filling meal. I ordered the roasted chipotle steak sandwich, which also came with a side salad tossed in a simple vinaigrette. It was a pretty large portion of food for the price, which I believe was $15. The steak sandwich had plenty of sauce in it, and it gave just the right amount of kick. The bread was very soft and toasted just right, and the steak itself was amazing. It fell apart as soon as I bit into it and the proportions of all the fillings in the sandwich were great. I also ordered a cinnamon morning bun, but wasn't given that unfortunately. They ended up giving a chocolate chip cookie, which was good, but not what I wanted. Overall, Robin's Cafe is pretty tasty with large and filling meals. Sad that I wasn't able to try the cinnamon morning bun, but hopefully next time I'm able to.

Matcha latte in Robin's cafe is soooo good!

I love this little gem next to ODC. In between dance classes I usually sit next to the window sipping the matcha latte made with oak milk and having a piece of zucchini bread, while people watching... it has become a thing as I really love the food and drink made by people who care. Part of reasons I am always there are the staff. They know what I want and they always put on big smiles when I step in. Isn't that like homecoming?!

High ratings, few reviews, but we were adventurous and decided to try it, glad we did. Ingredients is on a corner, looked relatively new from the outside LED "Open" sign prominent in the window. Once we walked in, however, we entered a different world from what we were expecting. Luxurious mustard seats, lots of tables for four, seating with high gray bench banquettes, reminding me of a 70s tune ("Diamonds in the back..."); retro vibe elegantly done with modern lighting and sconces. Not cheesy by any stretch, but in a neighborhood place you could wear sweats or a suit to eat at. Our waiter was Jackie, an enthusiastic young man who seemed like he wasn't just there to wait on tables. Throughout the evening he was easy to chat with while being knowledgeable about his food he served without being condescending. He made someone unfamiliar with the menu feel new-to-us dishes weren't going to be an experiment. We ordered the beet salad, the 8 ounce hamburger with fries, the mushroom risotto, and on Jackie's recommendation the Nepal BBQ ribs. In the meantime they served us house made brioche buns-warm, soft, delicate and chewy, flaky; reminded me of Texas Roadhouse buns, but far better. Served with a little olive oil and balsamic in a separated dish, you could eat them plain and enjoy the craftsmanship of baked excellence. We wanted more but in retrospect we would've been filled up with brioche and not enjoyed the meal. Tough choice. The roasted beet salad, served with shaved fennel, a beet balsamic jus, and an apple-citrus slaw that was fresh, sweet with hints of citrus offset by the fennel so it wasn't cloyingly sweet. The textures were enjoyable-the softness of the beets with the crunch of the fennel slaw, we anxiously cleaned the plate! Next came the risotto and the burger. What was enjoyable was the mushroom risotto-a refreshing presentation of toothsome Arborio, creamy yet firm, interplaying with a variety of mushrooms that immediately became one of the better risotto we've had, texturally excellent, not one note like most risotto, it came out hot but not searing; deft hands created a concoction that kept us going back for more. The burger was simple, cooked medium, but one of the best we've had in a very long time. We should qualify the burger as a cheeseburger as we were given a choice- bleu cheese or cheddar, we chose the bleu cheese and it was a good choice, just the right amount complimenting the veggies that came with burger. Oh, the fries-skinny, perfectly fried they stayed equally crunchy from first to last, served in a mini fry basket that was cute but it also showed they meant business, these fries were better than that Irish fast food place, and aren't they the iconic standard of French fries? IMO Ingredients is now the new standard. They were served with house made ketchup, excellent with or without. The ribs came last originally accompanied by a Mac and cheese but since we ordered risotto they served the ribs separately with a slaw. The ribs were fall-off-the-bone, but a little more savory than sweet , served with just enough sauce to accompany the ribs without being messy, easy enough to eat using knife and fork, the kicker was a hint of five spice, subtle enough if it's in ypur background, but not an annoyance if it's not. Flavorful, hearty, filling, delicious, We ended our meal with a homemade "apple pie," a creation made of thinly sliced apples, perhaps poached, with cinnamon, cardamom, allspice, along with fresh fruit, and a yummy scoop of "creamy"mango sorbet. Lots of surprising good vibes-no crust, all apple, not heavy; the mix of spices played well with each other; mango sorbet wasn't icy like sorbets tend to be, the fresh fruits added a touch of freshness to the dish that could have been sweet-centric, but not. A delicate yet satisfying end to a delicious meal. We met the chef, Sok, at the end of our meal, who had his culinary training n Kathmandu and expanded his repertoire in his world travels. He definitely knows how to elevate a good meal, and his Nepal and French influences add an understated flair to what he cooks. Sok takes tremendous pride in what he presents to the diner, evidenced by who he hires, and how each dish is presented. Dining in Ingredients is gratifying, from the dining room to the staff to the dishes themselves. More people should give Ingredients a try, a gem of a neighborhood find, a rarity in SF! Thank you so much, we have a new favorite restaurant!

By sheer luck, my birthday coincided with the 4-course for $45 promotion they were running for their 10-year anniversary. I had to jump at the opportunity, especially since the menu was built from the all time favorite items at the restaurant since their opening. I really couldn't think of a better way to experience a restaurant for the first time. While some set course meals have a few misses, this one was just hit after hit the entire way through. I really felt as if every course was complimentary, but different enough in their own way to stand on their own and make an impact. Tldr: the food was amazing! I will say that this place is absolutely stunning and beautiful compared to a lot of others San Francisco rooftops that I have visited. This is located into the tenderloin, so please be aware that you will have to find your own street parking but parking a garage is preferred. This place has stunning views nonetheless, it's very chill and in a relaxing setting. The music is not overpowering, which is nice enough to have a conversation without having it overly crowded with 50 other people around you. The food was pretty good. The fried chicken and deviled eggs were super tasty. I'm rating this 4 stars instead of 5 due to a couple of service issues. First, their bar policy for large groups is frustrating. A guest in our party tried to order a soda at the bar but was turned away because he wasn't physically sitting at the bar counter. For large groups, people should be allowed to open separate bar tabs so they don't have to be looped into the main table bill. It feels unreasonable and cuts into the bartenders' tips. Second, our server wasn't very welcoming. While not openly rude, the cold demeanor made our diverse group feel a bit pre-judged, which was disappointing. We still ended up with a hefty bill and tipped well, but hospitality could definitely be improved. Overall, we had a great time because of the company, music, and food. I'm willing to give it another try to see if the service improves!
