Rocco's has a very nice atmosphere. I ordered the salmon caesar salad. My friend ordered a slice of pizza. We were both impressed with the food. Also, we ordered a fruit water. It was very refreshing! It was loaded with oranges, strawberries, lemon and lime. Rocco's also provided wifi which was very helpful if you have a business meeting. Thus was our second visit to Rocco's and we've been very pleased both times. Romantic atmosphere, attentive servers, and large amounts of absolutely delicious food. Well worth the wait time! My dad and I came to the area for the manatee tours and asked the concierge to suggest a restaurant. She immediately mentioned Rocco's so we went to check it out. The wait staff was extremely friendly and helpful. I ordered the fettuccine Alfredo with shrimp (this is my test of Italian restaurants, if they can turn out a good homemade sauce instead of the canned garbage, they're golden) and their sauce was the best I ever had! The pasta and shrimp were cooked perfectly. The reason I think we had such a wait time was because my dad ordered the personal veggie pizza which took awhile to bake. He said it was absolutely delicious, but it is more of a two person pizza than a personal. One thing I would ask them to change, they brought out the garlic bread with our entries. So we ate our entries instead of having time to enjoy both. We did eat pieces of the bread though, and I must say they are ingenious! The garlic cloves pushed into the bread really made it. So much more impressive than the garlic butter stuff. Overall, I would highly recommend this to anyone in the area. They're food is amazing and we will definitely be back next time we're in the area! read more

Even though we have lived here for almost a year we had never been here. Friends suggested we all go and we went along on Friday night. The restaurant is not visible from the street so that is probably why we missed it. It is neat on the outside and has a modern decor on the inside. We were a party of 9. My husband got a pizza which he said was not good. He took most of it home and he had one piece at home and threw the rest out. I had an antipasto appetizer. Some of the meat in it tasted old. It took forever to get our drinks. It was hot in the restaurant and the waitress said the AC was slow.... We were not impressed and won't be back. Prices were high for what we got. read more

This is a beautiful restaurant with excellent wait staff. That being said, when we drove to the back to park, there was a guy washing dishes outside with a hose..?? That should have been our first warning. When we went inside, it is a lovely restaurant. Nicely decorated, Italian music playing, real tablecloths. After we were seated, we noticed there were only 4 other people in the entire restaurant. That should have been our second warning. We ordered two pasta dishes. The waitress brought a bread with butter, no oil dips. The bread had been microwaved and was ridiculously hot. Couldn't separate it without burning fingers. But the time it had cooled off, it was tough as shoe leather. Third warning. Our manicotti and broccoli pasta dishes arrived. Ever had gummy, sour pasta? It isn't pleasing. I have been going to Roccos for more than a year-at least 2-3 times a month. I loved their pizza and actually everything I've eaten there. Really wanted a nice Italian sub for dinner and thought Roccos would be the perfect place to get one. Even checked their menu online to make sure they had sandwiches since I'd never had one there. Arrived to a nearly vacant restaurant only to learn that sandwiches aren't served after 4:00 pm...it was 4:13 when we arrived. Nothing on the menu noted no sandwiches after 4:00. Ok, so the menu needs to be clarified...I get it. What I didn't get was the rude waitress who said."you've been in here lots of times, you should have known that!" ESP...not my superpower! So, ok...what's the worse that can happen, I'll have to have their great pizza. Sure, I was disappointed but it wasn't the end of the world. Nearly 30 minutes after ordering our pizzas, they arrived practically floating on the plate. It didn't appear to be grease...just watery. I don't know what would cause that. I asked for extra napkins to soak up the excessive moisture. A few minutes later, Joe, the owner, came over and in a very angry voice and asked, is there a problem? We started at the beginning with our confusion over the sandwich situation...he yelled saying NOT EVERYTHING IS PRINTED ON THE MENU! Then he immediately increased his volume saying he would bring us boxes to pack up our pizza and leave! I was stunned at his treatment of the 3 of us. We were speaking to him in a low tone and he yelled at us. He didn't offer any satisfaction only an invitation to leave. I wouldn't have allowed for any discounted or free meal. He brought boxes for the pizzas and literally slammed them down.. However, all three of us left that horrible pizza sitting right on the table and paid our checks. In this situation, the food was a forgivable situation...every now and again you may get a bad pizza. What isn't forgivable here is the owner of this business! This guy is an arrogant and extremely disrespectful person to loyal customers! I may have a very hard time finding a good pizza in Crystal River but one thing is for sure...WE WILL NEVER GO BACK TO ROCCOS! I'm sure he could care less about losing 3 loyal customers. I feel sorry for the people who have to work for him. read more

VERY PRICEY. The pizza is quite good, but I actually think Moschello's is better. I ordered the tiramisu for dessert and it was $8!!!! I wish I had taken a picture of it. It was so small! This restaurant had the WORST customer service and had the audacity to charge us for a meal that they messed up. I get sick when I eat meat, and they DO NOT list anything about what's in their food on the menu like normal restaurants. To say the least, they put meat in a dish that says NOTHING about the ingredients and I had to find out the hard way that there was meat in the dish. The servers didn't even know what was in their own dishes and I, and other patrons at the table, had to go up to the bar to get the servers to provide us any drinks. The food, beside a poorly made martini that took more than twenty minutes to make in an empty restaurant and the prosciutto packed penne al vodka, was good for the most part. To top it off though, I turned to see where our checks were in the end to see the servers distracted and gossiping rather than serving the only restaurant in the table, which was ours. That meal should have been free due to their inexperience in properly listing ingredients and poor service. Severely disappointed. read more

Very disappointed with Rocco's Pizza café in Crystal River went there for a night of trivia we are a big follower of the beach bum trivia games we attend many of his events and restaurants. to our disappointment we found out that they were not paying him for that nights event. there were four teams of roughly 15 people at the restaurant to play the game. we all ate and had drinks then we finish the night and Dave came back disappointed and mentioned that they weren't paying him for the evening. he puts a lot of time and effort into his beach bum trivia and that's not fair to him we will no longer go to Rocco's for anything, events or even our own private time Rocco's is bad news and bad business. Just finished Trivia at Rocco's and the owner refused to pay the DJ. Will never return there. What a rotten thing to do. Menu said our pizza was 15.99 and they charged us 26.00 dollars. Just returned home from a lovely dinner at Rocco's with my mother. We had never been here before, and just as I was turning in to the parking lot, my mom shouted, "Oh no! Fine dining!" fearing that she was underdressed and the food would be much too pricey. We checked a menu outside and noticed the prices were very reasonable (around the same prices as a place such as Applebee's). We were also relieved to see that casual attire was the accepted dress. This place is small, but unique and quite attractive in design. The staff was friendly and we were treated very well. I ordered a sausage and potato soup, the chicken belagio with penne pasta, and my mom had ordered a pan-seared blackened grouper with fettuccine. I would recommend ordering the belagio if you plan to take home leftovers! It was full of flavors, and though the topping of arugula was a little too much it was still enjoyable. My mom and I loved the sausage and potato soup - excellent, very hearty! She raved about her grouper as well. A wonderful time had by all, excellent food, excellent staff! This was recommended by several people at our hotel and they are correct! We were pleasantly surprised to find a high quality Italian restaurant in Crystal River since much of the others focus on seafood and fast food. We started with the zucchini sticks (just right and not greasy) and bruschetta and both were delightful. The main course consisted of the Chicken Cardenale which was done to perfection. A plump chicken breast sautéd in a creamy mushroom sauce over a bed of homemade pasta and topped with a roasted red pepper and melted parmesan cheese. Outstanding. Others in our party tried the manicotti and the chicken parmesan and highly recommended them. The other outstanding dish was the Penne ala Pavarotti. It is a LOT of food! The dessert offerings are homemade and the one we tried was delicious. Our server, Rodney (aka Tony), was knowledgeable and prompt. We will definitely be back! read more

This was a restaurant me and my family have loved for more than 10 years. We were even pretty close friends with Joe, the owner. Or so we thought. We had them cater a party for us, and frankly we were ripped off in the most classic way. We asked for an estimate, but Joe kept saying that he would get back to us, and we trusted that he would be fair. Boy were we wrong! When we went to pay him for his services it was about 3x more than would be a fair price. By that time there was nothing we could do. The owner of this restaurant is very frankly a crook, and is well known to do things such as this. Do NOT patronize this restaurant when you could bring your good business to other, more trustworthy mom and pop businesses. read more

Frankly, I don't get some of the glowing reviews. This is just an ordinary Italian red sauce restaurant. You really don 't need a menu. You've seen it a hundred times - veal or chicken, piccata or marsala; veal or eggplant parm served with your choice of spaghetti, penne or fettuccine with an almost tasteless tomato sauce etc. etc. Bottom line - it's ok, just very ordinary food. Big portions don't make it any better. I would have given three stars, but one lost for service. Took about an hour to get the food. read more

Ate Lunch there, The Owner is found behind the counter,not friendly . Mr "better than his customers Rocco" was uninterested and appeared bothered that he had to get up and make a pizza!
