Dr. Gedz and her practice was the first dentist I stumbled upon when I moved to NYC about 5 years ago. I have to say I can't recall how I found them, but the reviews are consistently amazing and I can echo the same feedback. The dentist isn't always the most fun or exciting place to be. Dr. Gedz' offices are both very clean, comfortable, easy to visit offices by Grand Central and Rockefeller Center. The practice is always very flexible with booking appointments and have friendly receptionists and dental hygienists. I have never had a bad experience with anyone here and it is nice to know they create an excellent patient experience. As an added bonus they are almost exactly always on time, which isn't always something I can say about a doctor's office! :) read more

I rarely leave reviews, but this experience was so unbelievably frustrating that I feel obligated to warn others. My appointment with Dr. Anna Radziwon at Rockefeller Cosmetic Dentistry was scheduled for six months in advance. I arranged my schedule and even flew into town specifically for it--only to arrive and find out that she simply did not show up. The excuse given was that they couldn't reach my cell phone. What makes it completely unacceptable is that no other effort was made to contact me. I had an alternate phone number on file that was never used. I received no email, no voicemail on my backup number, and not even a basic courtesy letter. It's hard to believe that a professional office would rely on a single method of communication and then just give up. What's even worse is the complete lack of accountability afterward. After Dr. Radziwon had known for six months that I was travelling to NYC specifically for this appointment, Dr. Radziwon still made zero effort to reach out--no apology, no explanation, no attempt to reschedule or make things right. That level of disregard for a patient's time, money, and effort is beyond unprofessional. The cost of treatment here is extremely high, which might be understandable if it were matched by quality care and professionalism--but it absolutely is not. The service I experienced was disorganized, careless, and frankly unacceptable. The price versus the level of service is completely mismatched. For what patients are expected to pay, the bare minimum should be reliability and communication, and Dr. Radziwon and the office failed on both counts. This was a complete waste of time, money, and effort, and one of the worst experiences I've had with any healthcare provider. Terrible, terrible client service. They didn't schedule my appointment after I had confirmed the date and time (which they had offered) and sent them a copy of my insurance card as they requested. When I reached out to confirm my appointment, I was told that since I'd never confirmed on my end (I had, and provided the text history to prove this), they told me they were booked for the week and could no longer see me when I'd made the appointment for. They didn't even bother to acknowledge their mistake, let alone apologize. Update: they have texted an apology. read more

Dr. David Vaknin of Rockefeller Dentistry was assigned by Dr. Richard Nejat of Advanced Periodontics to serve as the prosthodontist for my implant-supported full-arch zirconia rehabilitation. After my implants were surgically placed and integrated into the bone, his role was to design a prosthesis that was functional, stable, and esthetic. Over the past two years, Dr. Vaknin has designed 12 failed prototypes, 9 of which have fractured. Despite repeated occlusal adjustments, intaglio modifications, and laboratory revisions, I continue to experience instability of the lower bridge, pain while chewing with visibly exposed hardware, permanent tissue damage, and altered sensation that has never fully returned. I remain in temporaries with no end in sight. Most concerning is the absence of a clear, consistent explanation for the prolonged failure to reach a stable outcome. The treatment progression has been reactive rather than definitive, with repeated "design revisions" instead of a clear diagnostic reassessment of root cause. In fairness, Dr. Vaknin initially appeared engaged and communicative. He reviewed aesthetics, phonetics, vertical dimensions, and contouring decisions in detail. However, as complications mounted, Dr Vaknin stepped back and, oddly enough, the responsibility of the bridge design shifted to the surgeon. It is my belief that Dr. Vaknin gradually distanced himself because he was handed a surgically complex, and surgically compromised foundation that made predictable prosthetic success extremely difficult. To be clear, my issue is not that complications occurred, full-arch implant rehabilitation is inherently complex; but that after nearly two years of documented redesigns and fractures, there is still no definitive prosthesis and no transparent explanation of why. I am sharing this experience so that others considering full-arch implant rehabilitation understand how prolonged and unresolved the process can become, even after extensive revision attempts, and can weigh expectations carefully before committing to treatment. read more

I had a teeth whitening appointment and I can say the serve was great hence the three stars. I am taking away two stars for the front desk, she had a attitude with me maybe because I'm a person of color. I say this because another patient came in after me (white woman) and the front desk person's demeanor changed. She was upbeat and said "have some water and hang your coat if you like''. This is something she did not say to me or other person's of color. This is crazy because the front desk person is hispanic. Also it was disgusting how she was coughing and touching people's ID cards/paperwork. I immediately put on sanitizer because I don't want to get sick and she gave me a nasty look. Dr. Radziwon has an incredible bedside manner and has been the only dentist in many years to really listen to my concerns. Two weeks before my wedding last year I needed my bridge replaced on the spot and she did an amazing temporary fix which lasted me a whole year. I recently visited the office and here are my experience to share. Pro: Office is small; Located in mid-town; Wait time is short Con: Unprofessional. They rescheduled my appointment from 12:30 to 12. In the voicemail saying that if they don't receive a call back will assume I accept the change. But I still called to confirm that I accepted the changed. During my section, Dr. Gedz, who supposed to take care my whitening section, left for lunch and same as the front desk people. I was left alone with the assistant. After I was done, I could not find anyone else. I felt my tongue was burnt a bit, same as gum tissues, and throat tissues, some parts of my teeth got white marks, and teeth are super sore after the section. None of these were mentioned before the section started. I tried to reach out to Dr. Gedz on the same day by phone at least twice but no one get back to me. I contacted the office the next day and tried to leave a message for Dr. Gedz, but the staff member put me on hold. Summary: First, my issue is probably not huge that is why the dental office doesn't care much neither the Dr. But, it is just not the right mentality. Secondly, if they know their lunch hour is around 12:30, they should have schedule me to 1:30. I've been a patient at Rockefeller Cosmetic Dentistry for a few years now and I absolutely love every experience I've had to date. I primarily see Dr. Gedz and love how professional yet warm & friendly she is. I've never left the office in any sort of pain or discomfort. The staff is also incredibly helpful and they are all a pleasure to talk to whether it relates to my teeth or just my personal life. Paul is always smiling and so eager to make my life easier when it comes to appointments, billing and everything else. I recently finished my process with Invisalign and it was the easiest, most painless experience. I came in today, the last day of my 17 week schedule, and Dee took my molds for my final retainers. She went out of her way to make sure the molds fit comfortably in my mouth and didn't cause me discomfort when they weren't settling in correctly at first. Dr. Gedz is amazing - I just visited the practice for the Beyond whitening treatment for my wedding. Now let me tell you - I was initially very skeptical about the treatment because I have some recession and very sensitive teeth in general. I'm talking, sometimes to air, cold water, even Crest white strips, etc. Dr. Gedz was super friendly, extremely knowledgable, and really just of person you could/would want to talk to for hours. She explained to me that Beyond whitening differs from Zoom in that desensitizing products are built directly in to the whitening gel. Prior to the procedure, Dr. Gedz will talk over you dental history and any concerns. Then she will put a protective coating on your gum line to protect this part of your mouth. Then under the light you go for two 15 minute sessions. After the first 15 mins they apply new gel. I was expecting some "zings" or general sensitivity during the procedure but literally nothing was uncomfortable at all! The worst part was probably the rubbery smell of the contraption in your mouth (and that's it)! I am now a bleaching convert. My teeth appear several shades whiter and I am a happy gal - especially with my wedding coming up next weekend! Other nice touches during this visit were: a cozy neck pillow to relax during the treatment, relaxing jazz music (you can specify your music type) and also a bell to ring if you start experiencing sensitivity. I need a lot of work and I am really happy to be doing it with Dr.Getz. I had to change dentists and am a big baby about it . Bad childhood dentistry takes a lot of repair and in addition to being careful and dedicated in her work, what I most value Dr. Getz honesty around my requests. I wanted to keep my original teeth after a sports injury . I was willing to spend more to do so and Dr. Getz could have encouraged that, instead she told me what she would do for the results I wanted. I have done two crowns, a temporary bridge, and get constant compliments on my smile. Dr. Getz is meticulous with her work and has gone for better results even when I was satisfied . Dr Lee and the team at the 40th Street location has restored my faith in dentists! Not only are they friendly and professional, they only do what's needed and can create a flexible plan that works with your schedule. I skipped dentistry for many years and couldn't find a dentist who wasn't trying to knock me out and put fillings in practically every tooth. I came to the office of Dr. Liana Gedz for a routine check up and cleaning for the first time. I dealt with Paul for all the insurance and coordination of benefits for my insurance and coordination of my treatment. I must say that Dr Gedz and her team go above and beyond for their patients (they did for me :-)) I had a crown placed and was terrified of the thought alone of getting the crown. Dr. Gedz and her assistant made me feel very comfortable and at ease making my fear dissipate. They played my favorite music during the procedure making me feel a bit more relaxed. Was it from the welcoming staff who shiftily booked me a free consultation with Dr. Shin? Or was it the amazing, friendly and caring patient coordinator, Paul who explained the financial part of the process in a very detailed manner. Or perhaps was it the actual encounter with the magician herself, that is Dr. Shin. A girl will never know!! Lol! But the fact is that these people are amazing and there are no other words to describe their talent and passion that is dentistry. Growing up I have always had a complex when it came to my smile. As a young woman to be well aware of what society's perception for a beautiful smile was making me more self-aware and I knew something had to be done. For years I had searched for someone I fully trusted and I am glad I ended up at Rockefeller Cosmetic. From the first encounter I had with Dr. Shin she listened to my concerns and understood my needs.
