This place is adorable. An amazing barista from revel 77 coffee shop suggested it for me! I am a huge huge fan of chocolate. I go to the northwest chocolate festival every year. And they had chocolates in stock that I had never heard of before as well as my favorite chocolatier which is Dick Taylor Chocolate out of Humbolt county California! Their roses were nothing like I've ever seen. Lots of amazing snacks -unique and healthy! And excellent baked goods! I highly highly recommend this place! This is such a Spokane hidden gem. Drive past too quick and you just might miss it! Rocket Market is my favorite spot to grab a snack prior to watching the sunset on High Dr. Their selection of cake is definitely the best part in my opinion. I seriously love this place. Having been in Spokane quite often lately, this is THE place I will go by default to get lunch, snacks or even the odd dinner. Rocket market is literally, where you would find the convenience part of a gas station but inside is the type of locally owned, specialty store and deli that you would expect from somewhere in the middle of a hipster area of a large metropolis. There is a very large assortment of food and products that are hard to find and a large selection of wine. Multiple times I have gone here, I usually get the Vegan Carlito burrito and a smoothie although there are a range of salads, tamales, organic chicken, etc that you could choose from. The staff are friendly, fantastic and once you order from the deli, they can bring everything to your table if you wish. Also of note, the market is in a relatively well to do area of Spokane so it's not like some truck stop in the middle of nowhere (Not that there is anything wrong with that) but if you dine outside, it's not like you'll be having a side of dust or road kill with your meal :). read more

We love being in walking distance from Rocket Market. They seem to have all those things that you need last minute. They have delicious sandwiches in their deli that are perfect for picnics or to take along on the boat. I love that they have local organic produce, and that all their produce is labeled so you know if it's organic, local, conventional etc. They have a stacked baked goods and cake case. It's always hard to leave without taking something sweet home. Their wine and beer selection is great for such a small market. They have a wine club you can join an an extensively curated selection of great wine. I went to one of their Friday night wine tastings and had a great time. I would highly suggest taking a Lyft home...their pours are generous. I learned a lot from the knowledgeable beer and wine guy. They also have live music a really nice outdoor seating area. Been here a few times for small event gatherings. Quite enjoy the little space for small events. It's quaint. They have huge selection of wines, beer and food. Was here once for a late night concert. Had a blast. Now let's get to what I'm good at. I realize that the weather can never seem to make up its mind...but. At the least they could clean up the patio. Seriously. It's summer...ish. The patio looks like someone backyard patio. Broken @$$ tables, moss and debris all over. Get a broom. This is still the cutest hole in the wall find for me so far in Spokane! Never would have thought such a unique, local market could be attached to a gas station. They have everything from wine to vegan groceries to a delicious looking deli case. The real star though is still their bakery case. I still stop by here at least once or twice a month to pick up a slice of cake or ginger pumpkin bread. The pastries/desserts are always a very generous size and absolutely delicious. Okay. I'll start by saying I love this stores food. The service however is the absolute worst lately. The employees who Check you out at the front counter are just plain rude. The past 3 times I've been there. It baffles me how people who are in customer service can be so downright terrible to paying customers. I'm always friendly and I always tip. Even when I'm just paying for a cookie that I picked out off the shelf. You really need to invest in more friendly staff. And half the time they look like they just rolled out of bed. There is one woman there in particular who is awful. It's getting to the point where I don't think I'll return. For the price of your items, the terrible customer service isn't worth it! Also want to mention that there was broken glass on the floor one evening and when I brought it to the guys attention.. his response "well I got busy and had to help Customers" ummmm, you cannot leave broken glass all over the floor. It's a liability. Customers would easily understand and happily wait for you to pick it up. It wasn't just a little glass. It was a lot! read more

By the outside, you'd see this place as any other gas station, but then you walk inside and see the greatest, little, all-natural market and bistro. They have a large emphasis on stocking locally sourced products, which I love. The bistro inside is called Jupiter Bistro, and has some delicious and healthy meal options. Shiloh is the head chef for the bistro and creates wonderful quiche, salads, paninis and soups. Each day there are 3 soup options to choose from (look up rocketmarket on FB for their daily soups). The spicy sausage and kale soup is the best and the chicken and Dijon panini is a beautiful creation of flavors (dip it in some balsamic!) If you're into wine, oh boy do they have some good and reasonably priced wines. Matt the wine guy picks out incredible wines and hosts wine night every Friday. It's such a good and fun learning night! Speaking of drinks, they also have a very good beer selection with 4 beers on tap and local kombucha on tap, as well. I enjoy going to the rocket and getting local treats, however some of their employees are rude and do not follow proper food handling guidelines. There is one employee in specific with long colored hair, it was blue this time but last time it was pink. She has her hair below her shoulders touching the cakes, and she regularly rings my food up incorrectly and I have to correct her, otherwise she charges me for it. Sometimes when I ask her to fix the price because it's labeled differently, she doesn't do it because she thinks that she's right. She is rude and also has her hair and sleeves touching food in the case. It's unsanitary. However there are a lot of fun things that I recommend checking out. read more

Moving.. hence no cooking.. needed gas so I thought I'd hit both!! I love the small dishes the quaint (slightly overpriced) deli offers. Deli was filled with carbs galore..only dinner item was Coffee-BBQ-chicken.. really?? At night coffee?? Settled on ham quiche & chicken noodle soup-- clearly no culinary school here.. giant noodles should have been prepared extremely aldente since they sit in hot soup all day.. but we're mush .. way too many types and too much spices.. carrots were great rather aldente but unfortunately the soup didn't work -- For dessert I opted for the carrot cake-- great for frosting lovers :-(( get rid of half the frosting.. add some raisins and walnuts..& real shredded carrots.. Pa---LEEZE!! Gas was the highest in town at $3.29 a gallon.. when a business is injured due to construction -- LOWER your prices to lure everyone in-- NOT RAISE YOUR PRICES!! I love the iced coffee, and the produce and the soup , and the staff is new (2023) so all those silly reviews about apparent " rudeness" are outdated opinions from the Entitled. They have probably only come once, and formed a poor opinion.Sad to see people vent on employees-Working ( like today, a holiday!) and trying to get everyone what they want.Meanwhile, these same customers don't stay INSIDE the roped area during concerts, with their alcohol, and leave messes for others to clean up. Your dear mother doesn't work here-- but these 2023 employees ARE Kind and diligent, and doing their best . I love the summer concerts, and The Rocket Market is a very high profile place to play---NOT everyone is asked---or--- Asked back. ........The Rocket Market is a gem on 726 East 43rd, and we are lucky to have such beauty, in summer, particularly, when The Green and The Music are Just magical! The concerts Must end at 9 PM, because the city is always watching for any irregularities. So. We start at 7, and end at 9, applauding the night's music....In years past, we could go on 'til 10 PM.. but we have fought off 2 Entitled attempts to stop all music--- and or/ end the business. I absolutely love this place for so many reasons. I was fortunate to find some key ingredients that I forgot for Christmas dinner....on Christmas Day! So surprised they were open for a few hours on Christmas, but they saved my day. The 3 stars are for their bakery items. This store originated from a bakery (Rocket Bakery) and their items were fantastic. As the years went by, they started bringing in local items from different bakeries around town with some fantastic choices. For the last several years, they have stopped that and are almost exclusively sourcing Sweet Street from their wholesaler. It looks great, but tastes like wax. Absolutely awful! I have talked to them about it on numerous occasions and they say that they sell a ton of it. That may be because that's all that there is in this great neighborhood. I kick myself frequently for not taking the extra 5 minutes to go down the hill to Huckleberry's to get their fantastic baked goods that are sourced from tasty local bakeries. Please go back to your roots as a bakery and make your own, or source from local bakeries, rather than serving up the terrible Sweet Street items from your grocery wholesaler. read more

I love this boutique grocery. If I lived closer I would be here all the time. They have local Purdue at fabulous prices! Plus this should be your go-to spot for any hard to find, unique, organic ingredients. It's a tiny shop so I enjoy it more if I leave the littles at home and have time to shuffle the micro-sized aisles by myself. Small but packed full of local, natural products, if you're looking for something you can't find anywhere else, there's a good chance it's here! It's a vegan haven - they carry Miyoko's cheese (!) among many other great finds. It is a little pricey but no more so than any other locally-owned specialty business. They have a bistro here which I have not ordered from despite visiting multiple times. But it's on my list! They also sell/serve goodies from the Rocket Bakery and Boots Bakery! I discovered Rocket Market roughly a year ago -- about 2 weeks before I had to move to Seattle. It was always a disappointment of mine that I didn't happen upon this place sooner because it is just that awesome. First off -- don't be confused when you see the Conoco sign. Yes, it is a gas station. BUT! But...it is so so sooo much more. Inside you have a lovely little market packed full of local produce, baked goods, & coffee. Obviously this place sells Rocket bakery goodies -- but they have other people bringing their sugary goodness in to tempt you with offerings of cheesecake, nanaimo bars, caramels, tiramisu, cookies, etc. You get the picture. You also have your organic foods to purchase -- frozen, boxed, shrink wrapped. Add all the yummy produce from local farmers and you have a miniature hippy's dream here. Next comes my favorite part -- the beer case. A giant wall chock full of mostly local, but some other regional/national beers as well. Empty 6 pack cases await you and you can build the 6-pack of your dreams! And usually end up not spending that much -- cuz the prices on said beers are insanely good. If beer isn't your thing tons of local wines are available too. The people who work here are always cheerful and helpful if you can't find anything. I miss this joint. This tiny oasis of foodie heaven is in danger. All the wretched construction on South Hill, which makes each summer a personal driving hell, has impacted this small market, and reduced access. Yes, it's great to live somewhere that the massive government bureaucracy actually fixes infrastructure before something dire (unlike, say, California) but not at the expense of an indie business that offers so much. If this place were in Seattle, Portland, San Francisco, I wouldn't worry about its salvation. But it's not. I have been hard-pressed to find anything similar between Issaquah and Coeur d'Alene.* The combination of gourmet, locally-produced and healthy-organic foods is only rivaled by Huckleberry's, but the prices are similar (and sometimes lower) than Huckleberry's, and honestly, there are a great many things I can only find at Rocket Market. All the other reviews have spelled it out concerning the beer/wine selection, the deli, the chocolate selection, the produce and the array of product stocked on the shelves. Yes, it is quality. Yes, the people are friendly and helpful. I had a long conversation around 11pm one night with a cashier who had been punk in Oakland back in the day. There have been concerts in the parking lot. I watched, during the holiday season, as they'd close up the cafe section to host a formal holiday party in the evening. I hear great things about the wine (I stopped drinking during medical treatment) and I can honestly say I've never had a bad meal or bought an inferior product. Don't dismiss this place as merely a gas station. It's a neighborhood institution -- I drive all the way across South Hill in the dead of winter to get ice cream here. (Ruby Jewel ice cream sandwiches from Portland, Talenti ice cream bars which I haven't even seen at Whole Foods, and Three Twins Ice Cream from SF - which I used to get at the Fillmore store.) *There's a review from someone who claims he's "lived in large cities with many stores like this, but [he] didn't find it all that special." Okay, this is NOT Seattle, so no, there aren't other stores like this within a two hundred mile radius. I've checked. I love going to this place, and my boyfriend and I have recently visited on a weekly basis to have drinks on the patio. My friend and I also frequent there, and today they refused to serve her with her vertical ID despite it being valid and her being almost 23 years old. The frustrating part is the inconsistency, as I have taken her there a dozen times and they haven't had a problem until today.They were pretty rude, and didn't even go through the proper checks to make sure it was valid and have no idea about ABRA code regarding what is a proper identification. I stopped for gas and was delighted to see the mask sign off the door. Went in for a few things, saw the owner and all employees, smiling without masks. KUDOS to the owners for supporting this liberty for their workers! I have found other places not so inclined, and I think it is a real shame, and have chosen to go elsewhere.. Some of us will choose to mask, or vaccinate for our own protection, but personal liberty must be upheld if we want to keep our freedom. Never have I seen a gas station boast such an impressive selection of craft beer - they even have four tap handles! Does your corner gas station offer gourmet food, cheese, meats & incredibly delicious and fanciful baked goods, as well as an array of fresh, organic fruits & veggies and beautiful fresh-cut flower arrangements? This one does. I envision this is how trader Joes began. Trader Joes was originally a competitor with 7-11 but was losing money. So it stopped carrying slushys and started carrying specialty items. Rocket Market is like that a little bit. It is still a gas station, but more than that it is a miniaturized version of Huckleberry's. It has a coffee bar and food. It has extensive beers, produce, and specialty organic food stuffs and seasonal outdoor seating...
