I had a Reuben (nice and hot) on marble rye in a matter of minutes. Bar has large tv for viewing. Attentive staff and delicious food earns it 5/5 stars. Staff were dressed in uniform (black shirts) as I appreciate who I can 'run down' when I have a question. A must try in historic Cottonwood.

It has a really inviting tavern feel that makes you want to sit, relax, and stay awhile. The menu offers a decent variety of sandwiches, salads, appetizers, and a few entrée options. One thing that stood out was the lavosh (basically a thin-crust pizza), where you can choose up to four toppings. The protein options included bacon, ham, chicken, shrimp, and shredded beef, though the vegetable selection was a bit limited. Service started off strong--friendly and attentive--but tapered off and became pretty average as the meal went on. As for the food, it was just okay. The Cajun chicken pasta was creamy and satisfying, but it lacked the spice you'd expect from a Cajun dish. The cheese bread was very soft, and that same bread was used for the prime rib melt. Unfortunately, it didn't hold up well--it came across as doughy and a bit mushy, and overall lacked flavor. Great atmosphere, decent menu, but the food and service didn't quite live up to the setting.

I don't think you could go wrong with anything you order here. I have been told that their breakfast burrito is incredible. I have not tried it yet You order at the counter and pick up yourself. The service has always been kind and courteous. The place has your typical BBQ joint vibe. The outside tables can get pretty sticky, so watch out for that

Here at COLT Grill I had The Filly, a salad the menu described as "romaine, walnuts, pears, cranberries, bleu cheese crumbles, cranberry vinaigrette". I opted for the "small" ($8.50) over the" large" ($13) and it was a beautiful salad both in presentation and taste. But the salad portion of the menu also said one could "add chicken or smoked turkey" ($4) or "add beef brisket" ($5) and I did. Did you just tell me I could get a perfect, tasty, ample salad with a separate, robust and delicious side of BBQ beef brisket for $13.50? I wasn't just ready to fly to Arizona; I was ready to move to Cottonwood. This meal was delicious. A "small platter of smoked brisket" ($14.50) was enjoyed equally by another at my table but, with my bowlful of brisket, I paid little attention to that other meal. My attention instead was aimed at a nearby table's indulgence in the smoked Mac-n-cheese ($4.75) and Cheesy Jalapeño Corn Bread ($4). Jealous I was, for I had no room for anything more. What a winner. COLT Grill might be half the reason I return to this area in the future.

There were pull pork, salad, corn bread and butter, mac & cheese, some kind of purple-ish cold slaw, mash potatoes and gravy, and a homemade cinnamon apple cake. Several different bbq sauces. They served some alcohol. You have to buy it, of course. The entertainment was funny and great. Loved all the songs they sang. Dinner started at 7pm. Entry to dinner started at 6:30pm. All the young servers were great. They were busy and helpful. They had animals, birds, mini golf, this 4 table ping pong table, escape room, axe throwing, old photo shoot ($15pp), mini museum, big chess game, connect 4, etc. But we didn't get to enjoy all the games because we accidentally took the long way to get to Blazin' M Ranch. Instead of 30 mins, it took us like 45 mins ish. By the time we arrived, everyone was starting to go in the barn for the dinner and show. We really enjoyed this event. https://blazinm.com/?utm_source=google&utm_medium=organic&utm_campaign=gbp

The best is to grab a strong beverage of choice or two at the saloon beforehand to make it all so much funnier. A few extra fun touches before the dinner show:: a mini rail ride around the property and hanging out with the petting zoo animals. We paid for our old west portraits to get taken and at $40 for a couple to try on the costumes and make it happen was fun. As far as the petting zoo, bring some fresh produce in your pockets for the goats and the absolutely charming mini horse Gucci. He steals the petting zoo show. The dinner: soooo much great BBQ and dessert. We had delicious smoked chicken and pulled pork. Sides of Mac and cheese, homemade slaw, honey glazed corn bread, homemade mashed potatoes and the award winning grandmas apple cinnamon powdered cake. They encourage you to grab seconds. We couldn't even finish our firsts. Ok the show: it was outright hilarious. The owners and hired gun Eric Wildman Williams absolutely put on the next comedy and music infused hour show. You won't want that to ever end. I cannot say this enough: it was well worth the VIP package price we paid. If 10/5 stars were available, that's what they would get.
