Came here after a long day of driving from Canyonlands, Capitol Reef and Grand Staircase Escalante. The service was great, food was delicious and the beer was cold! Really enjoyed our experiences there. We also stayed in town for the night.

This restaurant has a great vibe, good service and good food. I got a southwestern bake with chicken, which was good although a little spicy for me with lots of peppers and onions. We split the bread pudding and it was incredible!

Unwelcoming cafe.... Don't go if you're Latino, they still live in the stone ages... ignorant

We came in, sat down and never waited on, while everyone else newly coming in where waited on. While walking out they never said why are you leaving or any type of acknowledgment. FYI: Latina with fam visiting Utah, unfortunately every one else inside was white and where waited on. Just saying....

The kind waitress, margarita, fried chicken and garlic bread were the stars of our show. The potatoes and bread pudding are the honorable mention. Join the waitlist online, enjoy the perfectly funky decor and vibes - worth the stop, the food was just missing some important components on a few things. Wouldn't deter you from stopping in.

Downtown Kanab, great place offers wonderful food, cool vibe and fabulous service. Menu options are plentiful and the portions are nice. The margaritas are delisious.

We came here while passing through on way home because they allowed dogs outside while dining. The staff was very friendly and brought our dogs a dog biscuit. Our waitress Sharrie took our drink order (ice tea and a Dr Pepper, sadly we couldn't order a beer to sit outside due to local laws). My wife got the B&B salad with Shrimp and I tried the Cowboys Chicken dinner. Both were very tasty and we really enjoyed them. We also tried a slice of Bread Pudding for dessert. The ambiance is kinda funky and the music was 60s and 70s rock. Prices are a bit high but other than that we really liked it here.

The service was great. Everyone was very helpful and friendly. Utah has lots of rules that we don't have on the east coast and none of the staff made us feel out of place when they told us the rules. Family friendly restaurant, with low chatter. Gets pretty packed. The food was really good. Cooked to perfection, well seasoned and yummy sauces. If you are from the east coast, skip on the cocktails (this goes for any cocktail in the state of Utah). Great for a replenishing dinner after a day of hiking.

Tequila chicken with jalapeño salsa. delicious. Highly recommend!

Rocking V Cafe was the highlight of our stay in Kanab UT! We ate there 3 times! When our friends arrived we suggested they try it too. They loved it! We had to put our name on wait list, it took 40 mins. Then the next 2 times we were seated right away. Wait staff were friendly, professional and kind. First night we had rib eye steak, we shared. It was excellent! Husband had cowboy chicken, he loved it. He also had the burger for lunch but it was over cooked, dry. Our friend said the same thing, it was over cooked. They said flavor was good. I had chicken with tequila rice and jalapeño salsa. Excellent not too spicy.

What a gorgeous day in Kanab to discover Rocky V -- a place that clearly takes its outdoor seating policy more seriously than most international treaties. The beautiful Center Street patio was completely empty, with probs 10 seats just sitting there basking in the sun, not a single soul (or paw) in sight. Perfect, right? Wrong. We were bluntly informed that this pristine, deserted patio was reserved exclusively for customers with pets. Never mind the zero dogs actually present. Inside? A luxurious 20-minute wait for a small table in a crowded room. We gently noted the glaring lack of any actual pets enjoying this "exclusive" area, but rules are rules, apparently. No dog, no patio. I did consider claiming my girlfriend occasionally identifies as a furry to game the system, but I decided against it. Instead, I simply let the hostess know their brilliant policy had successfully driven away two more paying customers. Mission accomplished!

4/5 Come for the gluten-free desserts, stay because your server apologized for the wait before you could even give them the look. Rockin' V Cafe totally rocked our gluten-free world. The staff knew what celiac was (bless them), and the menu had multiple GF options--including desserts. That's basically the holy grail for those of us living the GF life. We ordered: The Outlaw Margarita - bold, sassy, probably rides a motorcycle Whiskey Sour - no complaints, just vibes B&B Salad with Chicken - healthy-ish but still tasty Tomatillo Lime Chicken - limey, tangy, and a little spicy (like me on a good day) Service was a bit slow, but our server read the room and apologized before we could even start making passive-aggressive eye contact. Respect. We enjoyed everything outdoors on the patio which was clean and quaint. They do allow pups out there which we enjoyed. Would definitely come back--and maybe next time try all the gluten-free desserts. For science.

Stopped in here on our way to do some of the cool hiking trails around town. It was great! The staff were very friendly and gave us ideas on what to do around town and the interior was very cool. We will definitely be stopping in here again if we are in town. The food was good, I loved the potato's that came with the burger and the tomatillo lime chicken was pretty solid. Overall great experience!

    Totally fabulous steak and potatoes

We had just come back from a morning at Bryce canyon, finding to our dismay that food choices on a Sunday are few and far between. This looked like our salvation, and that turned out to be true I had the best steak there that I've had in years. The place is a treat for the eyes, as it doubles as an art gallery. A highlight of our western adventure.

Since we were staying at the hotel, we were also told that breakfast was included, so we came back the next morning to try it. The breakfast is definitely geared toward a specific type of person, and unfortunately, it just wasn't for me or my friend. They serve yogurt, an egg, and a pastry, and we didn't really enjoy it, so we ended up finding breakfast elsewhere on the other mornings. Overall, we really enjoyed our dinner and would definitely recommend coming here for that, but the breakfast just wasn't our favorite.

A delightful encounter in Kanab, the small town along the way on our road trip to Salt Lake City. A…read morewonderful meal. Pistachio Chicken: The chicken breast was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, with a thin, crispy crust that was especially impressive. The sauce blended the mild aroma of Poblano chili, the creamy richness of butter, and the unique fragrance of herbs. Most precious was the pistachio aroma, both vibrant and subtle, without overpowering or masking the other flavors, creating a delicate balance. Even the saltiness was just right, subtle and delicate. The surface was garnished with pico de gallo, fresh, sweet, tangy, and spicy, balancing the potential heaviness of the sauce. The asparaguses were also very fresh, with a natural fragrance, but perhaps a little too mild with the sauce. Kanab Cowboy Ribs: The pork ribs were slow-cooked and roasted until they were so tender that they easily fell off the bone, offering no resistance when cutting into them. The homemade barbecue sauce coated it thickly, rich and sweet, with an authentic American barbecue flavor. It might be a bit too sweet for most Chinese palates, but I thought it was quite good. The agave mustard vinaigrette seemed more decorative; I nearly couldn't really taste it. Lemon Sorbet: Homemade sorbet, offering the most soulful finish. It was breathtakingly beautiful at first glance; the simple white porcelain plate and glass were limpid and elegant, perfectly matching the sorbet's style. Unlike typical sorbets that emphasize extreme acidity, this restaurant took a different approach, with a gentle, even subtle, acidity that brings out the natural, lively fragrance of lemon, like Lolita's touch through pale silk. The texture was also delicate and smooth, without any ice crystals. Everyone was captivated; some even ordered an extra to take away. The restaurant claims that ingredients come from its organic garden. This might be a pointless gimmick, but the cooking and presentation of the dishes conveyed a consistent level of refinement and care, making it all the more valuable.
