I was just at a friend eric's house, he's moving today and he hired rockstar. These guys loaded the house FAST... they were super professional and their attention to detail was quite surprising for a moving company... most movers just want to get the job done and get paid, but these guys made sure everything was packed perfectly, wrapped for protection and properly secured, I was genuinely impressed. Jack (their foreman) was on top of EVERYTHING, not only he was making sure everything was going well and the workers were safe and working good, but we started talking to him and he even shared a couple jokes... funny guy! I had to move in a hurry and was walking through my when I saw a rockstar truck, being that I'm not from here I just decided to call them up and see if they could do it in a pinch. The company had two movers, Kyrylo and Mike, there in under 48hrs! The movers were realistic with timing and pricing, I didn't feel at all as if they were trying to get one over or add on all these obscene charges. They informed me upon arrival that the time I had chosen maybe wouldn't be enough for everything but that another team could be sent the following day if that was the case. Although Kyrylo and Mike were efficient, communicative, and focused we weren't able to get everything out. The experience so good though that I called to book a second team the following day fie everything else (2/2) when I called to book again Ella had great customer service and got me set up ASAP. The team the following day were Sam and Mike (different) and they were equally as helpful , efficient, and committed to getting me the best service. An Email I sent to Rockstar UNPro Movers: I am deeply dissatisfied with my move and the scam artist mover you sent!! I was less than EIGHT TENTHS OF A MILE FROM THE STORAGE FACILITY!! ONLY ONE STOP! $947!! And he tried to charge me $50 for credit card payment! I used this company twice and never, have I paid anywhere near $1000! This was highway robbery!! I had two of your guys move me at the height of the Pandemic--Norm and a tall and strong guy like Norm and myself! We cleared out a storage unit, went back to residence, moved the same about of furniture UP AND DOWN STAIRS, then onto location I am currently!! Same distance from the truck to my apartment with an elevator, and we were through by 3:40 PM! You send me Nick, fairly strong and Mike, an out of shape older guy overweight, speaks NO English, for this move and they moved like SNAILS! I was lifting the boxes they used the dolly for! This was a SCAM!! An UTTER MAR ON THIS BUSINESS! I gave a rave review in the past but not now! I was so SCAMMED by Rockstar NOT Pro Movers! A STUDIO APARTMENT TO A STORAGE FACILITY LITERALLY EIGHT TENTHS OF A MILE AND I WAS CHARGED $1000!!! UNBELIEVABLE! Even the people at public storage said that was wrong and the movers were SLOW!! Then, he tells me that he turns his clock back on at 5:00 PM at 4:12PM. At 5:30PM he tells me , hey we worked past 5:30PM! EFF OFF, SCAMMER‼ Let's NOT forget how he just stopped the move and REFUSED to do anything when he knew they'd be paid!! Also, I smelled WEED SEVERAL TIMES! And the language BARRIER was obvious. We were truly impressed by the efficiency of our team of 4 hardworking movers. It was expensive to load us into our uhaul (parked about 100 feet away from our 2nd story apartment- yikes)- it took about 5.5 hours to get it totally packed, 1/2 way through with the report that they didn't think everything would fit, but then surprised us with the perfection of Tetris :), fitting EVERYTHING. Not to mention that everything was managed with care and protection- very professional. The only thing that bothered us or worried us was that, although the team showed up wearing pandemic masks as we had asked, they all managed to either take them off or wear them below their nose or chin within about an hour into the job. I get that it's hard to wear a mask while working so hard, but we don't know these individuals and they are in and out of our apartment while my husband and I were working alongside them- of course we wore masks the entire time. Anyway, while we understood them wanting to remove them, we didn't appreciate it. We definitely could have asked them to put masks back on, which we didn't- I guess having done it once made it seem there would have been a problem if we would have asked them again. Anyway, this pandemic SUCKS. And their work was impeccable. read more

The experience started off good. The two movers were nice. I even gave them a lot of my old furniture that was in excellent condition because they said they could use it and I didn't need it in my new apartment. The only real problems were that they dragged my bed frame across the floor without a moving blanket, which significantly scratched it, and also dented the ceiling of my old apartment. Then it came time to settle up at the end and they didn't seem to understand their own billing system. One of them tried to call the office but no one answered. He ended up tacking on an extra half hour. When I looked over the invoice and did the calculations, I realized I was charged an extra $70. I called the office and spoke to Jenny, who couldn't seem to comprehend what I was telling her and told me to write up an email explaining my position. I sent her a lengthy, extremely detailed email. This was over two months ago and she never responded. I have followed up multiple times to no avail. I have also seen many other reviews complaining that they overcharge, so clearly it's an intentional tactic they use. I regret giving them my old furniture and then tipping them more than 20% on top of that. Buyer beware...if you overpay by accident, you will never see that money again. It was the simplest of jobs, (a heavy desk from Glendale apartment to a driveway in Santa Monica but it cost more than moving an entire home!! A little over an hour including drive time. Horrible company. Hired them for a LA to TX move. BEWARE. They quote very aggressively--then jack up the price (by $1000s) when they show up and it is too late to change course. We had a specific window for them to show up at our building--and they were 6 hours late. We needed expeditated shipping and paid more than $2000 extra for three day delivery. THEY WERE TEN DAYS LATE. We were sleeping on an air mattress night after night while they left us in the dark regarding delivery. When they finally showed up--no apology. The diver only said over and over, "cash or money order" for the remaining balance or they wouldn't unload the truck. The good: Technically the stuff got moved from the old place to the new place, and this review is very overdue so possibly this crew isn't with the company any more. The bad: Where to begin. First off, I hired movers because I had broken my hand and wasn't able to do much myself. I was very clear about this situation on the phone. Rockstar was not the cheapest quote I had, they were midrange, so I expected a midrange experience. That was not what resulted. - They were late arriving. - When I called to arrange the move, I explained there were two large beds that needed to be disassembled and reassembled (and that I was unable to do any of this due to my broken hand). They said sure, no problem. Despite this, they did not arrive with power tools, only hand tools. It took them a very, very long time to deal with the furniture using only a pair of manual screwdrivers. - Bookshelves were anchored to the walls (because earthquakes). They pulled the bookshelves from the walls while they were still anchored, twisting the anchors. They didn't mention this to me, either. I discovered it after the move was complete. - Asked them to move the fridge last. We were only moving a mile down the road, planned to put fridge contents in a cooler for a few hours (it was only a handful of items). While everyone was supposed to be working on the bedrooms, one guy grabbed the fridge and wrapped it in plastic -- with the handful of food items still inside. It wasn't much food, but still. Why? - They left several large items they were supposed to take and moved several small items I asked them not to take. These requests were based on my hand being broken: I could manage the lightweight stuff, not the big/heavy. - The small items were boxed up in one corner. I said, "leave the stuff in that corner, take everything else," but one of the guys took boxes from that corner. - While I was dealing with the cat, they told me the truck was finished loading and they were going to lunch and would meet me at the new place. Come out of the room carrying the cat and discover heavy boxes and large stuff abandoned in two rooms. Guess who had to come back and move the large items the next day? Ended up re-injuring my hand in the process. They even left a painting that was too big for my tiny car, so I had to walk it 1.2 miles to the new location. What the heck? - They said they'd be half an hour for lunch, just grabbing a quick bite. They were gone over an hour without any contact; I finally had to call and ask where they were. - At the new location, there were some traffic considerations during unloading. I suggested one person stay at the truck to stage and prep things to move so the others could focus on moving things quickly when the road was clear. They refused. When the road was empty, they were always in the truck getting items ready to move, and when they were finally ready to move stuff inside, they were stuck waiting for cars to pass. So much time was wasted. Felt like they were trying to run up the clock, though it might have just been logistical ineptitude. - They scratched up the floors in our new location in multiple rooms. - They lost several screws for the assembled furniture and didn't keep track of what screws went where. They installed many screws in the wrong places. (The screws were different lengths for a reason.) - During the reassembly phase, they did not tighten the screws in tandem -- which is furniture assembly 101 and something I'd expect anyone offering professional assembly help to know. Both pieces of furniture ended up massively misaligned. I had to re-do all the furniture assembly. - Because they didn't bring adequate tools and were either inept at logistics or running up the clock, it took about 4 hours longer than their estimate. They also tried to get me to pay for their lunch break by conveniently including their lunch break in the hours worked until I pointed out their math was wrong. I actually had to break it down -- "you started at X time, broke for lunch at Y, and came back from lunch at Z" -- in order to get them to be honest about the time they were charging. - I had planned a generous tip based on their estimate, and had an extra 2 hours of money budgeted in case things ran over. But then they went way over the estimate and did a not-great job. I still offered a modest tip given how things had played out, but they felt it wasn't enough. The crew leader hassled me about leaving more of a tip and wouldn't leave until I went to the ATM and got them more cash. The whole process was so awful and arduous that I am super late posting this review. This move was a misery. I needed extra help due to my injury, but I was completely up-front about the ask, and the crew I got came completely unprepared and were generally inept at every turn. read more

I moved a 1 bedroom apartment, had 3 guys and they were incredibly efficient, despite our freight elevator being broken and needing to use the regular elevator. I thought they'd drag their feet, but they never did. MAKE SURE TO TIP YOUR MOVERS!!! These guys turned a 2 day move into 5'ish hours. I got in touch with them and opened up a claim, 9 months later and the case still hasn't been resolved. It is absolutely unacceptable for a company to give their customer the kind of run around they have given me. They have promised me a refund for over 2 months now, every time I send an email I hear "will process it today" and the last update I received over 3 weeks ago stated their systems are down and will process the refund as soon they get the system back up! You can't tell me your system isn't back up after 3 whole weeks!! What excuse will they give me next? Who knows. At this point is not even about the money anymore!
