I just moved. After almost 15 years in the same place! So it was a BIG undertaking. My moving coordinator found 24Seven Movers and they really made this stressful event so much easier. I debated if I should bother writing a review, but after considering my experience I decided that I would share it with others so they can make an informed decision. Moving is stressful. The moving company should be professional, efficient and handle your belongings with care. I packed all of my belongings, labeled the boxes and made sure they were all in one area on the first level of my house. In total, I was moving 19 boxes, several duffle bags, a dresser (the heaviest item), a credenza, I disassembled a small dining table and twin bed for them, and some lighter chairs and benches. I asked ahead of time if they move potted plants, and I was told yes and was assured they take great care in packing them. I was told it would take a minimum of 3 hours with two guys. The day of the move, they arrived with a truck that could not fit in the driveway and could easily accommodate three households. Since I wasn't even moving a sofa, it seemed odd. I walked through and showed them exactly what was moving, and they decided to leave and get a smaller truck. When they came back, he asked me (again) to show him what was being moved. They were not using moving blankets, protecting my floors or protecting anything. When they moved something out of the way, it caused the wood dining table top to fall over and chipped the walnut wood. After that, I asked if they could wrap and protect the wood items. One of the guys started wrapping an item with saran wrap but loosely, but it did not make a difference. They used a Dolley to put one of the planters on, and spilled dirt everywhere and never bothered to wrap or protect the ceramic pot. I finally picked it up and carried it myself to their truck. The heavier potted plant they put in the truck, but again never wrapped or protected it. They repeatedly used my bathroom and splashed water all over the mirror and walls. In short, they were completely disrespectful. When we arrived at my new apartment, the had broken the pot of one of the plants. It was shattered into pieces and the plant was ruined. It cost $500. Edgar was genuinely sorry, and gave me a discount which I in turn applied towards the tip for the two guys ($70). However, I would never recommend them to anyone and obviously not use them again in the future. read more

It took one mover worker only to disassemble the bed and wrapped d dresser in d master bedroom for 3 hours with the other 3 unloading slowly down d apartment on d ground ( 2nd floor only with d dedicated elevator rt next to d loading area on d sidewalk of the street ! Hired 4 workers to load up and 2 of course to drive d truck going to our move in location . They wrapped and wrapped the barstools extensively . Coz ur bring charged with the wrapping materials already. The 4 guys are paid hourly. Only one guy Mike and German at the place we're moving out of r d ones working the other 2 pretty much stayed a while in d loading truck downstairs . We thought one will take care of d master bedroom and the other room to start dissembling d 2 beds only and one to start the grandfather clock it was dealt on d 3-4 th hour by d same guy Mike , Turns out he does not know how to take d pendulums out of d clock or to disassemble and assemble he just wrapped again d parts and just pray d pendulums won't hit d glass window in transport . Edgar d owner didn't apologize for d length of hours his 4 workers took on a well packed organized already by d time his 4 workers came in . When we called Edgar on d 3and 1/2 hours already taking from a 2 bedroom apt. Even when we r acknowledging d German and Asher d 2 guys coming back were nice. But since it took them forever at d original home to unload we didn't bother them to help us out on any more tasks because it's getting late. Edgar never apologize for d workers length of time for them to move us out and d no knowledge of d grandfather clocks . And workers don't communicate with us. Felt like we got ripped off by d number of hours it took for them to just bring d packet stuffs we have in duffle bags , Costco bins , boxes taped and labeled . By d time they get they to our place. Edgar only showed his kindness when he came in to us to give us d quote . After that he just d 4 workers equivalent to 1and 1/2 work. Between German and Mike ! I had a wonderful experience working with Edgar and his team at 24Seven Movers! I worked with them across several days and several different requests throughout my move about a month and a half ago. This included moving furniture, packing clothes and my kitchen up, moving an upright piano, breaking down furniture that was left behind at my new place, and garbage/recycling disposal at both properties. I was truthfully a bit all over the place especially at the beginning of the move - I had travel changes, family events come up, etc and Edgar was extremely accommodating to my changes and worked with me on the fly to make sure that I was able to move comfortably, safely, and in time before my previous lease was up despite my personal stuff that changed around our initial plan. We booked 24/7 Movers since a colleague recommended their services. I spoke with AJ mostly, but our movers were different - John and two others. I was pretty explicit about our situation on the phone, even though the quote/estimate was different on paper, and clarified many times over text with AJ. Basically we had two adjacent apartments moving into two detached homes on one lot, roughly 3 miles away (in LA). We just barely fit everything in the truck and surpassed the estimated hours by 1.45. The guys were really nice and respectful, but by the time they finished loading the truck and moved us, they were pretty tired -- I could tell. I think they just wanted to finish as quickly as possible, which I totally understand, but they got sloppy. We have skid marks on our floors and some of our walls (though the walls are minor), and some damage to our furniture (decent chipped wood from our media center and our bed, a noticeable scratch on my glass desk, etc.) They tried forcing a very heavy sofa bed through our sliding door, which left a mark. I hate to complain because they did put in all the work, but I do think the job was more than they bargained for. Fortunately I don't think we'll be keeping the furniture for too long, but it is an eye sore. It's hard to say we wouldn't use them again because their cost was reasonable and they were readily available, however, I think I would be over cautious next time when estimating how much effort/work is it. read more
