I was dreading yet another move especially since I had a terrible experience with another moving company last year. Quoting was responsive, professional and fast. Rocky called me personally prior to the move to confirm and that made me feel at ease. The crew arrived on time and were professional for the most part (there was some outright complaining to me about the stairs in our new home, and some of our boxes were very heavy and not packed in an ideal way). I take responsibility for the things we could have done better- but complaining to the customer like that is not cool. The fixed rate I was given was not a fixed rate in the end, as the job took a couple hours longer than anticipated due to the stairs in our new home- but Rocky made a fair deal at check-out time. Again, I take responsibility for not articulating exactly what the new home situation was going to be (I had only been in it once for a few minutes and could not even remember how many stairs there were). In the end, I look at these things: 1) Did the crew show up on time? Yes 2) Did they waste time on the job? No 3) Was anything lost or damaged? No 4) Was I charged a fair price for the job? I found Rocky and Mike to be exceptional. They booked me in over the weekend for a Monday morning piano move. The price was better by $50 dollars for one competitor and $140 for another! (despite that competitor being based in Petaluma which is where I am, whereas Rocky is out of Novato). They had all the right tools and ramps to get our upright piano out and in again. I could not have been more pleased in all respects. These included: Price: The cost quoted was among the lowest and less than half the estimates provided by some other highly rated companies. As importantly, the final charges were exactly what was quoted and there was never any attempt to up the price as some companies do for a few extra things that I forgot to mention. Professionalism: The movers were most courteous, punctual, careful, and helpful throughout the entire moving experience. In two cases, they found pieces of my dining set and bed frame that needed minor repairs and after showing me the problems, they repaired them on their own initiative. I just needed a few large, heavy pieces moved (lifted high) to another room and also move that heavy marble dining room table down a flight of stairs to the garage.
