You live in Kensington. You're feelin' lazy. You've ordered take-out from the same 3 places and you're thinkin' that you need to change things up. You think that maybe, just maybe Rocky's will be the best pizza that nobody's talking about.....maybe.... Sigh. Sadly Rocky's pizza won't be exactly what you dreamed for. But hey, it IS pizza and Special 1 is a serious deal, man. For $20, a total you'll see written on the box upon delivery, you get a large cheese pie, wings, mozzarella sticks, and a soda of your choice! Shoooot that's a sweet deal. The pizza crust is a bit too thick, but reheats beautifully. The mozza sticks are fine enough and when questioned about the chicken, my male counterpart replied, "oh it was spicey, but....dry". We ate it, it was satisfactory. As a matter of fact, I'm eatin' the left overs now for breakfast. That's a decent sign, right? read more

The best pizza hands down. Fast and quick service, and the pizza is amazing.

I've been here a few times ...a couple times just to have a slice to eat in and its always been good. I've gotten large pizzas to go as well. I also have had their sicilian which i really like and prefer to the regular pizza. The service is good and always friendly and the pizza is real good as well. They have a deal for large pizza , wings, mozzerella sticks and soda for 20 bucks which we get. I've never had delivery because we live close and I just go pick it up myself. I prefer this place to the pizza place on cortelyou, pizza is better. read more

Three stars.. and here's why: First time ordering food was great, delivery came quick, and we got a good deal. Second time ordering from THE SAME ADDRESS I don't hear from them for more than 2 hours.. then when I call the guy tells me I was supposed to give them the code for the downstairs buzzer. So I ask why they didn't call me back? He says he didn't have my phone number (that I called to order from) mind you the first time I ordered no one asked for any number and my order came as scheduled.. wth. Shouldn't you take down the phone # of the person calling you for delivery? Your best bet with this place is stopping by for a slice or something small. Large orders and delivery seem to confuse the staff to no end. Other than that the owner is a great guy and I love the interior of the place. read more

4 star review ONLY for the food because it's impeccable, but as far as the service and the staff goes, I'd give it 1 star, 2 stars if I'm feeling generous. Delivery takes FOREVER, and there has been several occasions where I have called to check the status of my order and I've been told it's on it's way, and have ended up waiting as long as an hour and a half for a square pie. Once, they bothered not to even show up at all. This is especially frequent on "busy" days. Good ass pizza though. read more

Love this pizzeria. It's really a staple in the community and the real deal. A huge penne ala vodka dish is $8! It feeds the whole family (3). Rocky remembers you after your first visit. My son loves going because he makes a big deal out of him and gives him a little treat. Problem is my son wants to go everyday now. Looking forward to Rocky's opening asap after the fire. By far, one of the best Pizza Shops in Brooklyn. I love to sit down and enjoy an authentic slice of Italian pizza from Rocky's. The crust is crunchy, sauce is delicious. i used to frequent this place when i worked in brooklyn. and all i can say is that it fills the hunger void. the place is decorated like a cross between a bad 80's movie and a bad 80's pizza parlor. there is a large area of the store by the register that is devoted to the NYPD and all their PBA cards of yester year on display. funny thing is if i saw two cops in the place in the past 9 years that would be a lot. nothing stands out as great and they have a large selection of different pies on display. name a topping and these guys can probably pull it out chop it up and place it on a slice for you. all the guys who work there are great. remember to tip them! the sandwiches are hit or miss. one day you will have a tasty chicken parm hero and you will be licking your chops. The next time you order it the chicken taste like feline and the bread was sitting around for a bare ass minimum of 48 hours. my personal favorite was to get a slice and drench it in the hot sauce they kept on the side in the clear plastic bottle. That way the hot sauce drowned out the taste of his pizza. being that it is by a bus stop and a carwash can make parking near it almost impossible. so plan to walk but it's really not worth the walk. i think the owner is a celebrity in his homeland. "ceka the karaoke singer" or something. If you go he has a little love me wall of his heydays on the mic back home. read more

This is hands down my favorite restaurant in Kensington. The food is consistently good and well priced. The staff is always nice and prompt. There is not one bad thing I can say about this place! One night, I didn't finish my ziti and was not going home so Rocky bagged my food up and put it in their refrigerator and said when I came back they would reheat it for me. Wow. You aren't going to find that anywhere else. When I move from the neighborhood, I will go out of my way to eat here. read more

I had really high hopes for this one. After moving to the neighborhood I was really excited to find a good pizza joint. We ordered a large cheese pie and it came pretty quick. However, the bottom of the pizza was covered in so much corn meal that it got everywhere. The sauce was really sweet and the combination wasn't very pleasant... I really wanted to like this one, but it just wasn't very good. read more

The pizza was pretty darn good. The sauce lacked flavor and the pie was a little soggy. The toppings were awesome. We had ham and pineapple and a plain pie. The spices and seasonings were top notch. We ordered the gyro as well, which was just ok. The lamb was dry and the veggies were not the freshest, but the pita was pretty good. All in all this place is one of the best in the neighborhood. They pizza always have burnt crust and I hate that and the cheese be so chunky instead of cheesy so it's like your choking on cheese just to eat one slice. Smh I rather go else were. Ok I would give them 4 or 5 but I haven't tried their pizza or any other dish. I ordered a chicken parm hero and some garlic knots and it's absolutely everything my little heart can desire! The garlic knots are gooey and have so much fresh garlic on them it's a sin. The staff is amazing friendly and the owner is super nice. Spoke to my kids and just showed appreciation to his customers. Stay away from this place pizza was gross saggy nasty pizza this was the first time since 1988 I had their pizza time changes.I shouldn't given not even a one star it deserves no stars! I am usually very leery of takeout pizza, but I stopped by Rocky's the other day to check them out. The place was clean, there was a great variety of dishes and the staff was friendly. I decided to take a chance and place an order tonight. I ordered a half spinach/red onion and half red onion/sausage & peppers a little while ago. They told me it would take about half an hour. Twenty minutes later they were ringing my bell. Two minutes after that I was singing their praises. The sauce was tasty, the cheese was good and the crust was moderately thin. The toppings were fresh, bite-sized and ample. I am pretty picky about pizzeria pizza and don't like most places. And don't even mention those horrible national chains. But I will order from Rocky's again. read more

I placed an order today for a large pepperoni pie, cheeseburger deluxe and chicken fingers. It arrived in less than 30mins especially with all the snow from the weekened (blizzard jonas). The fries were amazing as well as the rest of the food. I think I will be ordering more often from here. read more

First time here. Phone order and they were cordial. 20 minutes for two pies is a good time, one being a specialty pie. Plain pie was OK to good,buffalo chicken beat all the other neighbor hood joints. Parking is the drawback as they are located at a busy corner. The counter was loaded with many varieties of pizzas and dishes compared to the other local pizzerias so I guess they move a lot of food. Definitely would come back, surprised it had some low ratings. read more
