My family and I visited today and had one of the worst experiences out of the few times we've been there. Starting with one of the young women at the front counter having an attitude when my party of 8 (4 adults and 4 children) including myself were trying to reserve two lanes for an hour. We get to the lane and try to order our food before starting our game not knowing the game is on an automatic timer, okay no harm, no foul. That was on us. Then we began to bowl, midway through the game the game malfunctions and sets us back for about 5-7 minutes before we were able to continue playing. After advising them of the mishap, we were told that nothing could be done about it. Next, upon finishing up our first game our food finally arrived. Cold fries, one person from my party didn't even get her drink. Around 8 minutes after our food arrived, one of the associates came to our table asking that we "relocate because the lanes are on a waiting list", which I understand, however after explaining that we had just received our food, she disregarded what was said to her and once again asked us to "relocate". Mind you we haven't seen our waitress since she had taken our orders - she didn't even give us her name! So when we advised her that we need our check she kept asking who our server was, which was a mystery because she never told us. She wanted me to describe her but the way she asked made me uncomfortable because we had already been having a bad experience and she didn't even show any form of compassion. If this is the kind of business that is being run then I won't recommend anyone spend a dime or drop of their time there. I've had better customer service in a school cafeteria than here. Understanding lack of staff is a thing these days, you won't hit every point, but you can't provide mediocre service for ridiculous prices and talk to people with an attitude and expect them not to be upset. We won't be returning as long as the manager is "managing". read more

This place is like a Dave & Busters for east siders. Located in Solon, hidden off in the cut you wouldn't even know it existed. There is a game room, laser tag with laser maze, a serious bowling alley, and a ninja warrior course. The restaurant with a bar is a decent size with a party room. Our waitress was pleasant and helpful. We ordered the nachos with chickenfor the appetizer. They were really good (much better than that hot mess we got at the Tiki Hut in Hudson). I ordered the Mexican eggrolls and my husband ordered the quesadilla. Both entrees did not disappoint. Plenty of flavor and portions. This is a fun place to hang out and get your game on. Having family in town, I wanted something fun to do for the evening. I had not been to RollHouse since it was Freeway Lanes. I decided to take them here to see how all the new attractions/games were. First off we did the Ninja Warrior Course. It was small, but still fun. They had a worker go through the course and demo it. Each person is allowed three chances to get through it while being timed. As we talked to the worker they explained how they changed out one of the obstacles. It was nice to know they update it! It was a blast to go through the course, even if I couldn't get up the wall! Being on Yelp, I saw they had an offer for one free laser maze with a check in. My cousin and I completed the two person challenge. It was very fun and you could even get the video sent to your email. Next, we did two games of laser tag. The laser tag arena was slightly small. Although, it was a two story arena. The laser vests all had funny names which made it fun to pick which you would wear. The game also included small challenges of hitting targets. Between the two games of laser tag we tried out the new arcade games they had. They were all very fun! This place is great for kids to adults. They have so many fun things to do to keep you occupied all day! We spent so much time on those three things that we didn't even bowl. Highly recommend to anyone. read more

Honestly, do not go to Rollhouse. To start, it was very expensive for what you get. After that, the arcade games stole at least half of all the credits on the cards we bought without properly functioning. The food is inedible. But the worst part was the staff. They offer promotions, then do not staff to support it. it is Covid. The only way to get concessions is through the bar, with only one bartender, serving 30 people, most not wearing masks. Three people, including a manager, we're not able to a: open another serving station or b: go behind the bar to help the one person actually working. They take the money for the promo, and then do support it. I had an incident happened last night on Friday Sep,15 2023. My friends and I booked a pool table. I usually play billiards with my friends often, most of the places I have been to you can smoke cigarettes in them as long as you're not near the pool table so that you won't mess up the pool table. In Roll house, Solon I wanted to smoke a cigarette but there were no ashtrays So I went to the receptionist and asked for an ashtray, she said "we don't have any but you could ask the bar side if they have any". I went to the bar side and asked if they have an ashtray they said they didn't so I asked for a cup of water to put the ashes in it. Then, I went back to the pool table and smoked a cigarette. While smoking an employee approached me and asked me to put the cigarette out because there is no smoking in there. So, I put out the cigarette and apologized for not knowing that there's no smoking in there. After 10 minutes the manager approached me and asked me to leave the property. I told him that I didn't know there were no smoking in there and there were no signs that says no smoking anywhere. He said there's two signs outside that says "no smoking", so I apologized and paid for the pool table. As I'm heading out I didn't see any signs that says no smoking. So I went back and told him that there were no signs that says no smoking. So apparently I was kicked out for nothing and I was warned with criminal trespassing when the police arrived. I would not recommend going there or having your birthday party there. The manager was so unprofessional and rude. Not recommended at all. read more

RollHouse is a nice upgrade from the old Solon Bowling Alley that I used to come to as a child. The place is completely remodeled and now has a full restaurant/bar, pool tables, and a game room/arcade, fully equipped with laser tag and a mini ninja warrior type course. The first time I went, it was for a child's birthday party. They have a really nice private room and the staff did a great job orchestrating the party and activities for the kids. I went another time to bowl, but was told that the lanes were all reserved for a private event. I had called earlier in the day and was only told that there was a league and the other lanes were first come, first served. It was annoying when we got there to find out that we couldn't bowl. I'd recommend double checking if you're driving out of your way to come to this place. I went back two more times to bowl and eat and had a great time. Their pizza is doughy and amazing! It is a lot more expensive than the divey type of bowling alley that most people are used to, however it's a lot cleaner and more comfortable, so I'd say it's worth the price! read more

This place is terrible now. Kids wanted to bowl and they said a hour and half wait so we waited. We come back after a hour and a half the young employee indignantly says another half hour. Keep in mind, the entire 2-hours we waited, lane 1 through 10 have been unused. I go over to the two managers to ask them whats going on. The older manager says he'll fix it goes to the bowling counter and just stands there for ten minutes looking befuddled. At this point my kids need to sleep and I say forget it. Tell manager nevermind and he appears to not care at all. Never seen such bad customer service. So we left no bowling. Thanks a lot. I give the bar 4 stars for great mixology. But the lanes themselves were in disrepair. I 1st lane the floors were so sticky that we were afraid we were going to sustain injury trying to bowl .When we mentioned this to management they did clean the lane and offer to wire brush our shoes to remedy the situation. When this did not help we were move to another lane . The location is undergoing a bit of construction and just opened a new game Room I believe their attention to this expansion has caused the wood floor area of the bowling alley to go unnoticed for a while. There was no shine and definitely a build-up of wax. On a positive note the bartender was amazing, the service was friendly and accommodating. Cosmic bowling was supposed to start at 5pm however, the DJ was full hour late. Was not a fan of the Disney movie soundtrack that played during that hour. read more

Bowled in a league here a few years ago. Always accommodating and great customer service every week. The people working at the bar area always take care of you. Lanes seem to be in good shape and oiled consistently. Also a good place for kids birthday parties. Kids love the bumper bowling, arcade and laser room. It's a typical bowling alley except they've got all weights of bowling balls (big PLUS!)! I've been to 3 bowling alley in Cleveland (Corner Alley, Wickliffe Lanes, and Freeway Lanes). In terms of classiness, Freeway Lanes is on the same level as Wickliffe Lanes, meaning it's not a very high end bowling alley (like Corner Alley). But, it's a decent size bowling and best of all, they have bowling balls that are only 4lbs! For someone we usually think a 7lb ball is too heavy but have a hard time finding lighter balls, I'm definitely psyched that Freeway Lanes had them! read more

Bored on a Friday night? How about some bowling and beer? That is what we did the other day and had a blast at Freeway Lanes. I remember going to Freeway Lanes when I was younger, and it was as fin then as it is now. Standard bowling alley but really nice. The lanes are plentiful, clean, and well maintained. I always conjure up images of seedy bowling alleys when anyone mentions the sport--but not here. It is always nice and the staff is helpful and attentive. When we went, we had a very large party and needed three lanes. Luckily, and in spite of it being so crowded, we got them all together. We had some great pizza and fries -not the best dietary choices--and some cold beer. It was so fun! By the time we left the place had filled up and it was similar to a big bowling party with every lane occupied and people hanging out together. Definitely my definition of a great time. read more

Attended there "New Years" Eve Bowling event party last night. The package for $33 advertised bowling, pizza, chicken wings,pop and deserts from 9pm-1am. They put out the food at 9pm made some silly announcement of last call and the food was all gone by 10:15pm! Needless to say the food was terrible also. Pizza was burnt and dried out and cut into tiny little squares. They put out some cookies that looked like they were from a GFS store.The pop they even served was watered down and tasted awful. When I asked the manager about why the food was gone so early they responded with some rude comments. They didn't even serve a champagne toast at midnight either. We love Roll House. Its conveniently located close to work and has everything anyone needs to have a good time. Food, alcohol, games, bowling and more. The managing staff frequently walks around to make sure everyone is having a good time. Pricing on food and drinks is very reasonable. Bowling league just started and figured I would try some food. Couple weeks ago walked by a guy eating a good looking sandwich and asked him what it was. He said "its the pulled pork and its delish". Ok I figured thats good enough for me so the waitress comes to our table and I order two pulled pork sandwiches with fries for the wife and I. We get the sandwiches and could not get past the first bite. The barbecue sauce they use is VERY SPICY HOT. Asked the waitress why she wouldn't tell us it was spicy hot and she said "I didn't realize it was". Manager comes over and says "We can make this sandwich with a regular sweet barbecue sauce". I asked why wouldn't your waitress be educated on the food you provide, he said "I will have a talk with her". Got the pulled pork sandwiches with sweet barbecue sauce and they were ok. Fast forward a couple weeks. Wife and I order a pizza with pepperoni, sausage, onions, green peppers, black olives. Pizza comes as thin as paper and could barely choke down one piece. Found out the sausage is SPICY HOT, and again no one advised their sausage is spicy hot because no one nows but the chef. This place gets 2 stars for the atmosphere. If I could rate the chef I would give him/her a -5. Not sure what they are thinking but I'm going to guess there are more people who do not like spicy food than people that do. Educate your entire staff what kind of food you serve so that they in turn can communicate properly to the customers.
