I've eaten in the restaurant a couple times, and just ordered delivery yesterday for the first time (via Uber Eats). The restaurant is quiet and casual, but a nice vibe inside and friendly staff; just seems like they mostly do carry out or delivery. The pho is good here but if you're coming JUST for pho, there are probably better spots. Unless you want Oxtail, which seems pretty unique here. I recommend the Thai style popcorn chicken, you can tell it's their "special" recipe as it is uniquely delicious and elevated for popcorn chicken. I also love the Magnum Rolls, I've tried just about every protein in them and they are always delicious. Seems expensive for three summer rolls, but they're large and stuffed nicely so pretty filling. Haven't had anything bad here, and was surprisingly delighted with the quality even after reheating because Uber Eats takes forever. read more

They should fix it to be a bit more intuitive or easier to understand. Also, if there is no more of an item that day, it should be removed as an option on the menu. The atmosphere is calming but the seating is not very comfortable unless you opt for the ground cushions. I ordered the pork fried rice and then on another occasion I ordered a pork soup. I went to Happy Eatery for lunch and ordered the Fully Loaded Bowl with steak. It came with a whole bunch of goodies including vermicelli noodles, veggie rolls, steak of course, and some other veggies. It wasn't particularly flavorful, but still pretty good. Also, the portion size was very large- honestly enough for two meals if you don't have a big appetite. The restaurant also has some cool looking drink options, though I didn't get to try any. Happy Eatery has a nice upstairs seating area with both booth seating by the large windows and normal table seating. The staff members were super friendly and the service speed was pretty quick. The ordering process is also easy, since you order on a touch screen. Overall, Happy Eatery has solid Vietnamese food (albeit not particularly amazing) in a comfortable space with friendly service. Had a hankering for a banh mi-esque sandwich and decided to try happy eatery out. Overall it's ok. Not the greatest banh mi I've ever had, but certainly the most expensive. But that's to be expected given its location. Baguette was crisp and the chicken was cooked well. My biggest criticism is that the "pickled" daikon and carrot barely had any flavor and were extremely bland. Maybe it's done that way on purpose to appeal to a larger audience than those who go to Eden center. Overall good if you're in a jam. The location is basically designed to be a sort of oasis for office workers and local yuppies, and that's exactly what it is - a super trendy, somewhat spacious upscale food hall with pho, banh mi, and other sorts of dishes, all in one place. If I could give 3.5, I would. I think overall, the food is decent. We got the rolls to start with and the rolls are fat. We both thought they were really good and probably best dish we got. I got the Oxtail Pho which was advertised as being spicy and it was not a bit spicy at all. I rather think it tasted sweet. The broth is not the best but better than I was expecting. It definitely tastes light and there is not a lot of depth to the broth. It is also pretty pricey for pho. We also got the fried rice and thought it was pretty good. Happy Eatery is a modern Asian food hall incorporating restaurants from the Happy Endings Restaurant Group. I honestly didn't realize that until I got home from my trip. I had this eatery bookmarked even before I left Tampa. I thought the menu items were just broken up by categories: Chasin' Tails, Roll Play, Pho Play, Lei'd, and Teas'n You. Nope, guess again. These are the 5 restaurants that are all under the Happy Endings Hospitality Group. I would have never known that because it doesn't look like your traditional food hall. It just looks like a modern meeting place where you socialize and have drinks. There is a kiosk when you first enter the building which I believe is for takeout. The note on the terminal says to order at the table if you're dining in. There is one kitchen as you walk up the steps to the 2nd level dining area. There is an elevator as well. You won't see separate counters for each restaurant. You just find a table or seat along the window area and then scan the QR code which brings up the Toast app. You place your order via the app and give it any specialized instructions. It's just that simple. The payment is contactless. You can keep the tab open, or close it out and pay right away. It's up to you. It's a cool concept. Anyway, it was a very difficult decision for me. I wanted so many different things, but I only had one stomach to feed. I knew I wanted the oxtail pho from Pho Play, but didn't want it to be the spicy oxtail one so I chose the BYO option. I got the oxtail beef bone broth with the shirataki (or low carb) noodles and oxtail meat. There are no bones in this pho. It's just the meat which is kind of nice because you're getting a very generous portion of meat. I also got just about every topping except white onions and jalapenos. I also got the magnum roll with caramelized pork belly from Roll Play, and the fusion fruit tea from Teas'n You. I thought I was being smart and not ordering too much. I was wrong. That bowl of pho was huge when it came to the table and filled to the brim. I think that's my only negative comment. I wish there were bowl sizes here. I would have ordered a baby or small pho. Instead I only ate half of it. It was so tasty. The meat was tender and the broth was rich, comforting, and hot. The noodles were perfectly cooked. It's everything I'd want in a bowl of pho. The magnum roll was just as wonderful. It's your own creation, so you get whatever filling you want and pick your own sauce. I chose the sweet chili sauce and never even touched it. The roll was perfect by itself. The fusion fruit tea from Teas'n You is described as a strawberry passion fruit tea topped with lychee, strawberries and lychee jelly. It was refreshing and delicious. I'd get all 3 items again in a heartbeat. The service was also great. They bring the food right out to your table, and they know exactly where you are by the QR code. The server was so nice and helpful. The whole layout of the dining area is aesthetically pleasing, and there is a great view of the streets of Rosslyn. The Zen area is very peaceful. There are many Instagram moments to be had here. I totally recommend this place to anyone who loves Asian food and wants a little of everything. It's close to the Rosslyn Metro Station. This place is wonderful. I was skeptical about trying Vietnamese food because I am an 100% vietnamese and I know what authentic dishes should taste like. Here's what I ordered and my thoughts: 1) Vietnamese coffee. I approve! extremely strong and the cups are large! I think it was around a little over $6 with boba, and it was worth it. They also pulled the oxtail meat from the bone, but i like the actual bone because its a whole experience for me. I wished they gave me that option to keep bone-in. The only thing keeping this dish from a 10/10 was their rice pho noodles. Super overcooked and soggy. I like the noodles that still have a chew to it. Also, the lime that they provided had 0 juice, and the condiments (hoisin and sriracha) i wished were in bottles instead of packets 3) Vegetable and Pork Egg Rolls: 8/10! they were really good! We order in line and get notification that our food will be ready at 6:14pm today....we didn't get our food until 6:54pm We're new to The DC area and wanted to try out this place based on reviews. Mind you, we didn't just order a bubble tea drink, but also a sea food boil - bring our total cost to about $80. Not trying to be a jerk, but at 6:14pm we call to verify our order. The person on the phone asked if we had 2 milk teas. We said no, we had 1 and a sea food boil. We told her where we were parked on the curb right in front of "Bethesda Bagel" and said that she would bring our order right out. We waited patiently, and my husband is a bit more patient than myself and a lot more forgiving....but by now it is 6:50pm and so I call again. After waiting on the phone line, they tell us, "oh you're food was ready already, and then the person in the phone gets snippy. I said, well the email notification you guys sent stated at 6:15pm. I stopped by recently to check out their new breakfast items and they did not disappoint. The pork belly/ Angus steak egg and cheese buns were like a savory McMuffin with quality meats. A bit messy to eat, but they do have it wrapped nicely. I would eat these things every day if I could. The textures of the soft warm bun with green onions, fried onions, cheese and perfectly seasoned meats left me speechless. The banh mis here are also quality you can tell because they pack it with a bunch of vegetables, meat and pate. Overall, I really like the concept and execution here. Totally got a crush on this place!! Great food, cool ecclectic vibe-layout & fast, friendly service! I was under the weather and this place was the remedy to fix the situation. I stumbled on this place looking for a nearby pho spot. All I can say is.....My pho quest is over. 3 years and many pho bowls later, I can put my feet up and know that I have atleast one place to visit now for a perfect bowl of pho. I ordered the Spicy Oxtail Noodle Soup and was hooked from the first bite or slurp, might I add. The broth is so rich and deep in flavor with that subtle tinge of salt-sweetness (but not too much) that many a pho can lack. It is so good that I don't even have to bother putting any Sriracha chili or hoisin sauce in, which is an absolute first for me. It is a much more full flavored broth which I find doesn't need the addition of any extra sauces; except for to give my bowl that extra kick of spicy love with the Sriracha. Nothing watered down here. No Kidding! Literally with no shame, I threw my spoon to the side and picked the entire bowl up to finish slurping all the broth goodness. It was just that damn good!! So far, it is my favorite dish here. The servings....are beyond filling and the actual bowl it is served in...is about the size of a 1/2 bath sink bowl! I kid you not. You can almost serve two people from this bowl. The oxtail beef was tender, seasoned and had the right about of the best part....fat!! In a big bowl it is served up flavorful and pipin' hot with a spicy herbal/aromatic broth that's masterly balanced and flavorful but not overly salty, with distinctive notes of sweet aniseed makes this dish on point. The chili oil added takes it even to another level. Its perfect and not overpowering in spices. All of this goodness, is laid in a nest of firm, springy rice noodles. This dish also comes packed with a whole heap of fresh plated herbs, basil, and bean shoots on the side. Throw in some basil, bean shoots, chilli and a squeeze of lime and you're off. If you prefer your pho mild to start, build and add items...as you go...eat. I also ordered Crispy Imperial Roll (Vietnamese Roll) The crispy roll was just okay. Nothing to brag about. The filling is great. It is filled with Chicken, Pork and Shrimp meat, but it was somewhat cold, soggy...and too oily for me. I prefer a more crisp-crunchy kind of roll. In all, I am a huge fan of this place. The seating spaces are so cool and open. The staff are friendly and helpful. Also, they combine many other food options such as sushi, Boba (Bubble) Tea and crafted Vietnamese Coffee blends. It is fast casual and up there with the best of them in the DMV in my opinion. Love that I can pick from a variety depending on my craving (and other people in my group). The hospitality here is excellent, and definitely enjoy the ambiance here. Lots of space and a nice zen room upstairs! Sometimes, they have cool events here that I'll definitely have to check out. The only concern is that it's hard to find parking around here (very limited paid street or garage parking). I like to get Pho, Magnum Rolls, and Imperial Rolls! Also love any drink from Teas'n You, especially Strawberry Matcha Dalgona, Fusion Fruit Tea, and Herbal Hibiscus. Lei'd is also an excellent option if you're feeling something more refreshing and "healthier". Sadly, they were out of low carb noodles when I went, as they were with several other items on their menu, such as curry chicken. This is disappointing and I wish they could put that on their website before folks visit. Crispy rolls - Small, also cold like they had been previously cooked 30 minutes ago and sat there waiting for their next order. What's up with the cold food!?! The flavors were great but temperature was no good. This was 4:30 pm on a Saturday. Dining area - Spacious however very industrial, no comfortable seating. Chairs so not have backs on them. Couple of booths with no seat padding or cushions. Very cement and steel (hard) material seating. Customer service - No one checks to see if your food is good after the drop it off at your table. If I knew this I would not have added so much to the tip before paying when I ordered the food in the beginning. Parking - Difficult. Garages nearby are expensive and cramped but it exists. I have been a long time fan of the other locations like Teas'n U and Lei'd Poke, and am so happy to have a place in Rosslyn now where many of the Happy Endings concepts are in one place. The tea and coffee is on the first floor and dine in and a zen garden are upstairs. You read that right, there is a zen garden. I went on day 4 during the soft opening, and the team was attentive and friendly. We were greeted at the door and asked if we had ever been, and if we wanted to dine in or grab tea. We were provided with a full menu of all the tea options and got a full tea tasting! The flavors were delicious, ranging from milk tea, matcha, pistachio, taro, winter melon, honeydew, Vietnamese coffee, etc. All were very good and if you get the Vietnamese coffee they put a sea salt foam on top!! You are also able to choose the sweeten level from 50, 70 to 100. We took a trip upstairs to check out the food and zen garden. I have been eyeing this spot since the HEH banner went up. I'm a fan of almost all of their other ventures, and knew this one would be gold. I walked in on a Wednesday night at around 5:30. The lower floor consists of a bar where they make drinks (same ones featured in the Teas'n You) and if you want food, you can go upstairs. Everything is Cashless in this restaurant, so be ware. Ordering is done at the kiosk, where you also pay. You can then opt to eat in (and take a number) or take it to go, after which they will call you by the name associated with your credit card. For my first meal, I had a fully loaded bowl. The portion size is really generous, and the flavors are authentic. Ingredients taste fresh and each dish seems well balanced. I've also tried the spicy hue noodles which was spicier than I was expecting, but still filled with a decent portion of fresh bean sprouts. I also had an opportunity to try out the wintermelon milk tea with lychee fruit from the downstairs bar. I was surprised when they offered to let me sample the drinks before buying. I ended up opting for the wintermelon milk tea at 75% sugar and lychee jelly. Boba is an additional $.50. Considering this is the only boba shop in the rosslyn area (next closest is Clarendon) I was more than happy to find that the boba quality is still on par or even better than other shops around the area. This is definitely becoming my go-to boba shop. The dining area upstairs consists of mostly bar seating against the window, with a few 4 person tables and a nicely decorated dining cove in the back. The decor is really well done and you can tell the owners really did their best with the space they were given. I dined on a Saturday, and while there were other customers, service was fairly fast. I ordered the pork belly bahn mi with sriracha mayo and it was out of this world. Seriously it was bursting with flavor and the last bite was just as good as the first. I really love the freshness brought by the basil and cilantro. I also ordered two pork triple delight imperial rolls but sadly ate them before I could snap a picture! They were quite tasty and the sweet chili sauce is everything. (I totally forgot to take a picture of our order, due to eating in the car during COVID and the clutterness in the car when eating.) I was craving for some authentic Viet food, but I didn't realize it isn't. My fault for not looking into it more, but this place was one of the locations that was still open. We ordered the Triple x Fried Rice and Cajun Gaelic Noodles. I'd say that the dishes were really good but I guess wanting authentic Viet food made me disappointed. But it was good food. We also ordered the Viet coffee which I thought was toooo sweet. I didn't sense the "strongness" from the Viet coffee. I would come here again to try their pho but nothing else. read more

I had no idea there was a second floor to Happy Eatery! The interior is minimalistic and clean, with lots of plants hanging down. It's very aesthetic and would recommend checking it out. I've always walked by and heard good things about it. Glad my friends and I were able to stop by yesterday for dinner. I really like how they have all the Happy Eatery chains in one location so you can order whatever you're in the mood for. I was craving spring rolls so I ordered off of the ROLL PLAY menu. MAGNUM ROLL (3 CT.) - 11.99 So the base price is $11.99 for three rice paper rolls but only if you get the "base" proteins - Five Spice Chicken and Honey Glazed Tofu. Otherwise, you have to pay an additional $0.89 (Lemongrass Beef Steak and Caramelized Pork Belly) or $1.49 (Jumbo Garlic Shrimp) per roll. I ended up getting the chicken, pork belly, and shrimp rolls - they were all stuffed with meat, veggies and noodles. Definitely very filling meal and the peanut sauce that came with it was a delicious and perfect complement to my rolls. I thought the chicken was a bit dry but flavorful. I would recommend it if you don't want to pay the up charge for the other meats since it is pretty pricy (my subtotal was $14.37 - yikes). The garlic shrimp was by far my favorite in terms of taste since it was pretty juicy and garlicky. Pork belly was delicious, too, as it provided sweetness to the roll. I'd like to try the other protein options in the future. Overall, my friends enjoyed the food here and it's great that there's more Asian options in the Rosslyn area. One of my friends got the fried rice here and he thinks it's the best fried rice he's ordered in two years. Will definitely be back to try more of what Happy Eatery has to offer!
