Took my car here recently to get an oil change, replace a fuse, (tail light out and I tried to…read morereplace bulbs with no avail) and two tires replaced. Showed me a piece of paper with 150$ per tire. Proceeded to buy the wrong brand, I told him to get the same brand as the other two on my car. Charges me for 6 quarts of oil when my Jetta only takes 4 quarts. My check engine light was not on when I dropped my car off. They said I had an error code for a temp sensor. They looked into it and said it needed to be wrapped up properly. Somehow I get a $1200 bill. I am a little bit upset hence why I am writing this review. This shop has been running for 65 years. I'm sure that if you know Bill, he wouldn't over charge you. But if your naïve enough he will hose you for every cent. Now Bill was a really nice guy to talk to. Safe to say I will not be coming back for ANY future repairs.

The other business also screwed up on what they did and it was found when we took car in for repairs. They even went above and beyond by sending pictures of a few things that they found that needed repairs. They really built trust with me quickly. A few years ago we had to move to Washington due being relocated due to work. I've had my SUV for 22 years, it's in good condition and runs well. On this model the vacuum hose can get knocked out of place easily which can cause air to blow on my feet constantly which drives me nuts. Usually I have had to take more time off work to go in and get this fixed because they did not listen to me when I explained about the hose during the initial drop off, but THEY listened and I got it back without any problems at all. They were also able to get me in the next week to fix those other items, one of which was a big repair. I never felt overcharged either as my services ended up being a little less than the estimate. I'm really happy that I found such a great place because even though my SUV is pretty old at this point, I really love it and want to keep it running as long as possible. I'm excited about getting all the new tech perks that come with a new vehicle, but this is my first vehicle that I bought for me, and I still love it and am not ready to let go just yet, and with this place, I know we're in good hands.

More than two years ago, I brought my car in for a simple front brake pad and rotor replacement, and now--after THREE visits to (supposedly) replace the offending cheap brake pads they originally installed--the issue of the ongoing, excessive black brake dust covering my front wheels still hasn't been resolved. Each time, I was assured the problem was taken care of--and each time, I left with the exact same mess. At this point, I'm seriously wondering if this shop ever actually replaced the brake pads after the first time, since there's never been any evidence that they did. Rommel is full of promises but short on results. He either doesn't know what he's doing or simply doesn't care--and I'm honestly not sure which is worse. When he had the audacity to ask me to bring my car in a FOURTH TIME (seriously?), I instead asked him for a refund of the $604 I had initially paid him. He refused, claiming, "That wouldn't be fair." I'D LOVE TO KNOW WHAT'S FAIR ABOUT A 74-YEAR-OLD WOMAN HAVING TO CLEAN SOLID BLACK BRAKE DUST OFF HER FRONT WHEELS (WEEKLY!) FOR 2.5 YEARS--ALL THANKS TO THE CHEAP BRAKE PADS ROMMEL USED, WHICH HE (quite laughably) PROMISED ME WERE "BETTER THAN ORIGINAL EQUIPMENT." My recent plan was to take this unethical "businessman" (I use that term lightly) to Small Claims Court, but I realized that (Rommel being Rommel) the likelihood of him showing up was pretty much nil. I knew I needed additional repairs done and when I was ready for that, I called the shop (2/14) to ask if I qualified, as an existing customer, for their free "Customer Care Program" (24-hr roadside assistance basically, including towing) bcuz my SUV wasn't drivable and it needed to be towed to the shop. When I called on Friday, Ryan told me I'd need to talk to mgr Gerry (who was out until Monday) about that program. Shop isn't open on weekends so I left my contact info and waited for call. No one followed up so I had to call shop again! Gerry told me that they no longer offer that Customer Care program -- despite that it's posted on their website and there are brochures about it in their office. Furthermore, Gerry said that they only provide " complimentary" tow service to customers if existing work that their shop performed fails and is under warranty and referred me to a local tow service (I *have* AAA membership but why use that if I can use the shop's free service??) I've since called Sun Auto Tire & Service main office (2/17) and requested a follow up from the District Manager. In the meantime, I'll be getting the $2600+ in repairs done ELSEWHERE as I've found several other qualified shops around here with positive reviews.

My car was making some weird sounds and I had to leave it there for a few days so they can look into it. They found some other maintenance work I needed so I chose to do some other services as we couldn't figure out exactly where the other noise was coming from. I took the car home and the other noise came on again on the freeway so I recorded it and emailed it to them. I dropped my car off the next day and also spoke to the owner Tony who is a great person. He was very patient, calm and ended up finding out what the issue was, and got it all fixed for me. It was nice to work with Daniel, the Service Manager, and Tony, the Owner and help find out exactly what was going on with my car. I really appreciate their customer service and honesty. Daniel was very helpful and clear in communication.
