Great drinks, great outdoor set up with some good snacks. I came here on a Saturday afternoon around 5 pm. There was no wait or crowd, so seating was very easy. I really liked how they set up this place. They have clear plastic curtains/walls that helps block off any strong SF winds, but the top is open so that you get fresh air inside. Ordering here is very easy, you go to the counter to order and pay, and they give you a number for you to place where you are seated. I also saw a waiter take orders from another party, so not sure if that is normal or if it was special treatment. For drinks, I got the "Our G&T" which is their variation of gin and tonic. The drink was good, smooth clean tasting without any of the nasty alcohol aftertastes. They add rosemary, strawberry and also grapefruit which added a hint of fruit that is not overpowering. We also got the roasted onion and cheese dip. They give you A LOT of the dip with a handful of chips. We found out later that they offer refills of chips for free, so make sure you get some so you can finish the dip. The dip overall was very good, good consistency and not too oniony. The chips were pretty on and off. Some chips were a little soggy and the salt seasoning was not very consistent (some chips had wayyy too much salt). A group of colleagues and I met up here for some drinks and snacks. Amongst the rooftop bars in SF, I thoroughly enjoyed Rooftop 25 located just upstairs of 25 Lusk. I am not sure if it was because it was a weekday, but the place was not busy leaving a spacious and cozy environment. I am just glad we had a table to sit at which we probably would not have found at any of the other rooftop bars around. Even though there isn't much of a view that you'd expect from a rooftop bar, the coverage kept the space cozy on those windy nights (they even offer blankets if you're still cold!). Another plus was that you order up front at the cash register while they bring your food and drinks out to you. This makes it so much easier to split when you're in a group. I started off with the Rooftop Smash ($12), which was nice and fruity. Then I switched up for a classic, smokey Old Fashioned. As for food, our table had an array of bites: Pizza One ($15), Pizza Two ($18), Cheese Board ($10), Chicharrones ($3), Olives and Nuts ($5), Potato Chips ($3), and the Sustainable Catch Ceviche ($14). The pizzas were pretty standard, but definitely enjoyed the Pizza Two better due to the prosciutto. My favorites of the snacks were actually the two cheapest ones: chicharrones and potato chips --both simple, tasty, and perfect to munch on. The chicharrones even had a kick of spice to it, which I really enjoyed. Overall, great spot to grab some drinks and snacks. I enjoyed the atmosphere a lot here. Yes, my rooftop obsession is only getting worse but is this really a problem? A couple friends and I stopped by around 6pm on a Sunday for some quick drinks and appetizers. It was a beautiful day to spend on a rooftop. This rooftop is more of a sit down place with tables covering most of it. This seems to be more of a San Francisco rooftop scene thing from my experience. We were seated right away and after looking at the menu, we decided to share the Roasted Garlic Hummus (~$10) which is topped with seasonal crudite, black pepper crackers, and cracked spices. I've heard great things about their drinks, so I decided to try Our G&T (~$13) which is their take on a gin and tonic along with rhubarb and ginger liqueur, strawberry, grapefruit, and rosemary. The hummus was light and a good dish to share. It was definitely overpriced. It tasted pretty mediocre and for ~$10, I expected something a bit better. Our G&T was pretty good. I usually don't get gin and tonics but it was a good try. Rooftop 25 does offer food, drinks, and a view (don't have too high of expectations, though). Went to Rooftop 25 last night, November 13th to reconnect with some high school friends I hadn't seen in a long time and we had a blast! I was concerned that they wouldn't have an overhead covering to protect us from the rain, but they came through with great covering and heat lamps. I was also pleasantly surprised that they serve brunch all day, which is not something I knew I needed in my life until I got there. I highly recommend the truffle mac and cheese, ahi tuna tartare, and margarita pizza from their regular rooftop menu. And for drinks, they make a strong but tasty rye old fashioned and super fresh passion fruit mojito. As far as service goes, it was pretty streamlined. You get seated and are given paper menus to review. Once ready, you order at a bar/kitchen station and then they bring your orders to the table. All staff wear masks and keep a proper distance from guests. And everyone was very friendly too! Came here with my girls for a Quarantine birthday celebration. We all spent our bdays indoors and on a hot day we finally decided to step into the world for some food and delicious drinks. I had the white peach margarita, holy I devoured it the drink was so fresh. When I left I probably had 5 margaritas! They were so refreshing on the hot sf summer day! This place is so nice! There aren't so many rooftops in SF so being able to find this gem was perfect. It's a newer rooftop and everything feels very clean. You order your food at the front and they give you a number so the vibes are very casual. I was able to modify my order and the staff was very nice. I got the burger but with no bun and some salad on the side. I also added a picture as well. The meat was also very good quality. Definitely recommend the burger. The rooftop has a cover and heated lamps when it gets slightly colder outside. As for the view, I would say it is average. You don't see a whole view of the entire city, but you see a little bit of the SOMA neighborhood buildings. The bathrooms are also brand and comfortable to use. Came here with some friends for a nice night out. We were looking for a cute rooftop bar to catch up at, and this seemed like the perfect place! We had made a reservation and got seated shortly after making it up the flight of stairs. There isn't as much of a view, but the outdoor space is SO cute with the string lights and plants set up. We were told to go up to the counter to place an order, which I was not a fan of. There was always a line, so this would take quite a while every time we wanted to add anything to our order, whether it be food or drinks. We asked about getting water and ended up having to ask several times before receiving a pitcher for our table. The food was OK. We ordered the Ahi Tuna Tartare, both pizzas, the lobster roll, and the chicken drums. Collectively, our favorite part of the dishes was the sauce that came with the chicken drums, the drums themselves being quite bland. If I were to pick a food item to order again, it would probably be the margarita pizza. As for the drinks, I quite liked the Spicy Passionfruit Margarita. At first, I was intimidated by the "spicy" description, but it ended up being my favorite food/drink item we ordered that evening. SF Yacht Club is also a nice refreshing drink. We ordered two red sangrias, the olives and nuts plate, and chicharrones. The sangria was not terribly tasty, and the snacks were average. My friends and I decided to go to SF to meet for a meal. Our first choice closed at 3pm, and since it was a nice day I went on Yelp looking for rooftop venues and found this place. We were lucky and arrived before the baseball game let out. Parking was challenging, but I assume this was due to the baseball game. We ordered a pitcher of the spicy margarita, which really hit the spot on a beautiful sunny day. We also ordered the Marguerite pizza, and for veggies we added a salad and brussel sprouts. Had dinner here last night. The food was so mediocre. Everything we ordered was bland and tasteless. The pork belly pizza sounded good and in theory should have been good. But it was extraordinarily flavorless. Same was true of the octopus starter. The tuna crudo was a very tiny portion. The other items we ordered weren't even worth mentioning. And everything was expensive as per SF restaurant pricing. So to drop $200 on a meal that we disliked was even more painful than normal. Had an interesting experience with rooftop 25. Although the ambiance of the place is great (rooftop on a nice day sipping a cocktail? Sounds amazing) and the service was very friendly, there needs to be better and more up to date hours on their website and yelp. My SO and I saw an advertisement for rooftop 25 being open for dine in while walking around oracle park. Our interests were peaked, but we were a bit confused since the ad said open from 12 until close. The "close" seemed very vague. Yelp said open til 10 pm so we arrived around 8 pm. Closed door, no one there. We didn't want to waste our time the following day, so I tried calling for clarification three times between noon and 1:30 pm. No one picked up. Finally, we just decided to visit regardless. It was open! In COVID Times, you order at the entrance, and walk to a table afterward with a numbered placard. Prices are fairly pricey, but it is a rooftop bar--to be expected. However, I wasn't expecting the food to fall so short of my expectations. The Bavarian pretzel bites were good (3.5/5), definitely a decent drinking snack. But the sandwich was really nothing special (2.5/5). Seemed like basic Costco bread, steak that wasn't cooked very well, and some lettuce and tomatoes thrown on for color. Served with, also, very bland chips. My margarita also fell flat. I've had many much better and unique tasting margaritas in San Francisco, and they cost less too. Overall, atmosphere=great. Food=not so much. Will I come back? I am so excited this spot opened up near my office! It opened 3 weeks ago and was relatively empty during lunch on a Wed but I definitely think that will change once people hear about it. Came here for an outdoor dinner with friends on a Thursday night. There is a parking garage across where the Safeway is at. There are about 3 sets of stairs that you have to walk up to get to the rooftop. My friend made a reservation and our table was ready for us upon arrival. All tables were about 6 feet apart. They had their regular menu along with the brunch menu available. You have to go up to the server to place your order and put a card on hold. My friend and I tried the crab roll which I thought was just alright... the caprese salad is a must get!! The burrata and tomato was just perfection to every bite :) Servers were wearing masks and everything seem to adhere to the cdc guidelines. We needed a nice spot for drinks and dinner so I found this on Yelp. From the pictures and description I was excited to check this place out. I called in to inquire about reservations and was told I could walk in to the rooftop bar. We got there and I was pleasantly surprised by it all. The location was accessible and convenient to CalTrain, we didn't have to deal with Friday afternoon city traffic. The ambiance was great. Spacious yet cozy, chic and very well designed. The wine list was superb and the host's recommendation was on point. We sat out on the deck and it was perfection.The whole time we were there the music playlist awesome, soulful easy listening rock that set such a great vibe. Then we moved in for dinner and we ordered the Pizza 1, chicken sandwich with the house chips and chiccarones(nice touch). The portions were large enough for two and it was delectable and delicious. I cannot even describe how great my overall experience at Rooftop 25 was. I finally found a place that offers the big metropolitan hip vibe I've been longing for. I'll definitely be back again soon. I had a decent experience at Rooftop 25. I stopped by around 7pm for dinner with friends. There is a relaxed vibe they goes well with the Rooftop concept. They've got heaters to help with the cooler SF nights although they were not turned up. I think it would be smart to bring a jacket or some type of layer in case you do get cold. I believe the menu is seasonal and it's worth checking the website to see what they've got in regards to food. Parking might be tough. I ordered the smash burger which comes with two beef patties, cheese and a bacon jam on what I think was a brioche bun. You get two pickle spears, lettuce, tomatoes and pickled onions on the side. I think the patties have an 80/20 blend which gives you a nice juicy patty. The patties were thicker and that led to a fairly tall sandwich before adding any additional toppings. Post-tomato, onions and lettuce the burger is difficult to handle without smashing things together. That led to the bun breaking down and it was quite a mess. Overall it was a decent burger but I ended up eating the pieces with a fork because there was no way to keep that burger together. The bacon jam was a nice smoky touch The burger comes with potato chips which were alright. Overall I think the burger was okay, good flavor, nice meat blend but I thought the bun couldn't support the burger patties and I would've liked it to be a little more handheld. We were meeting up with my brother in law and sister in law for drinks and dinner. My wife met Matthew Dolan (chef and co-owner) outside by chance while I was looking for parking and he was BEYOND kind. He offered his suggestions for food and we were quite happy with his kindness and helpfulness. We were seated quickly and grabbed some drinks and a wide variety of food. Loved the charcuterie board, crab roll, cauliflower Mac and cheese, and the drinks (the grapefruit gimlet and SF Yacht Club were great drinks!). The 3 tacos we ordered were huge and tasty but paled in comparison to the aforementioned food items. Service was fantastic and they were well staffed. The only downside is that I wish we weren't dealing with COVID-19 so that I could've shaken Matthew's hand for going above and beyond to make our visit amazing. I was a bit unprepared to order at the counter and receive a number but regardless the service was fast, the food was hot and yummy! I'd recommend their G&T or if you're feelin some red wine I've always enjoyed the ones they have on the menu. Not sure if he was a new hire, but the last time I went my cashier was very iffy about recommending food. My question was pretty simple, which of the flatbreads did he recommend. His response/facial expression made me almost not order any food. "Ehhh I guess this one but only if you like funky cheese. It's, like, really funky." Any recommendations he gave made me super uncomfortable ordering. Still ordered the flatbread and it was fine, don't really know why he was making such a big deal out of it. I came here with a party of 6 for lunch last week and I'm questioning if we just ordered all the wrong things?... Like how do they have good reviews? This place was pretty bad... First off, counter service only, not a problem. The first weird thing was, was receiving one member's chicken sandwich within 5 minutes of ordering. We asked if this was someone else's since it arrived so quickly and before our appetizers but they assured us it was ours. When ordering, staff told us they were behind on food orders so receiving this so quickly concerned us. Well 20 minutes later and no apps or other dishes have arrived yet so this was definitely someone else's meal. Now, my coworker ate his sandwich while everyone awkwardly watched/tried not to watch, then awkwardly watched all of us eat 20 minutes later... He said the chicken sandwich had too much sauce so it was way too sweet and didn't stay together well. He rated it a 3. Next that arrived was the pretzel hotdog. Not enough cheese, and the pretzel was disappointing. She said it didn't taste like a pretzel at all. She rated it at a 3. The salad arrived. How did the hot dog and chicken sando arrive before a plain salad???? I meant there really wasn't much to it... Like 4 tomatoes and a single pepper. It wasn't overly dressed so it was nice for what it was. We rated it 3.5 stars. One burger arrives. Menu said medium well, but it is so rare he ate only half of it. Again he said it was messy, and mediocre. He rated it a 3. The burrata and fruit appetizer arrives. There are three slices of fruit, three slices of pita and some meat. It was really small portions for the $10 price tag. We rated it a 3. The $17 cheese platter appetizer finally arrives. It arrives with weird bread that seems too dense for it. Not worth the price tag. We left most untouched. 3 stars. Smoked salmon appetizer then arrived. It only had 3 small really dense slices of bread so it's not portioned correctly and doesn't make this very sharable... The bread wasn't the right type, but otherwise it was very good. 4 stars. This place is cool because it's a rooftop. You order from a cashier and then they give your a number and then they deliver your drinks and food. Seemed ok because we were there on a Sunday afternoon that wasn't that busy. It also made it easy for not having to split tabs at the end. I thought the vibe was fun and although I didn't eat the food I saw around me all looked very delicious! As other reviews have said you don't go to this rooftop for the views.
