Coffee lovers in South County rejoice! I just found this gem because I needed to kill time before a lunch appointment, and it was the perfect find. I will for sure be back! The ambiance is great and there is tons of seating and natural light. I loved the water cups readily available and booth seating if you want it. It's a great place to work or meet someone. I didn't notice too many outlets, but they may just be hiding. Because they had just opened, staff were still being trained but they were incredibly friendly and remembered my name when I left, which was definitely a plus in the hospitality department. I just tried a drip coffee and it was fine, just a tad expensive for filter. The rest of the prices for specialty drinks seem on par with other OC coffee spots. The shop is nestled in a business park off the 5 freeway, and is a little hard to find, so look for the big Bikram Yoga sign Nextdoor. I've been here twice the first time was alright, however the second time after ordering the banana matcha there was noticeably no banana flavor they possibly mixed up our drink with a regular matcha. Upon asking the barista she said she could add more banana flavor but she ended up just putting so much agave into the drink that it tasted like pure sugar, they do not do drink remakes when they mess up. We were driving through the area and wanted some coffee and found Roosevelt Coffee on Yelp. It's located in a business area, but it was surprisingly full on a Saturday morning. Plenty of seating inside and out. Our kids liked the various board games you could play. We got a sesame latte, vanilla latte, vanilla steamer, hot cocoa/ mocha and almond croissant. Great customer service in explaining to me what the various sesame options were. I loved my sesame latte. The flavor was subtle and nutty. Everything was tasty and the custard in the almond croissant was amazing. The price point is a little higher than a chain coffee place, $7.50 latte... but since we were on vacation we splurged a bit. read more

While the people behind the counter seemed happy and polite our general experience with this coffee shop has not been great. To begin with, the floors and tables were not kept up. Keeping a coffee shop kept up is important. There was a sweaty gym type funky smell the second morning we tried this spot - not sure why. The friendly staff seemed busy so perhaps they didn't have enough staff for upkeep or nobody was assigned to it. The coffee is just ok. It certainly is not the quality of other spots around. I would even prefer the Starbucks across the street. It was so bitter that my father-in-law didn't want to try anymore after the sample and we did go to Starbucks instead. When trying to tame the over-bitter taste, they only had oat milk as an alternative. I guess gluten free dairy alternatives are not an option. The coffee, which is the first reason for a coffee shop was a general failure in our experience. The pastries we did not try in part because there were fruit flies in the pastry display. Not very appealing to me and speaks to a general cleanliness problem. Finally, we noticed how they reposted lewd sexual comments from another customer as a rave review from Yelp into their Instagram account (where children and families could see) and when anyone pointed to the lewdness of it they were ambushed by juvenile comments. This doesn't just speak to a bad social media experience of the company but a an immature management team that is missing everything that matters most - product, professionalism, and integrity for all customers. Thank you Yelp for having the integrity to remove the lewd comment. We will not be returning to this place and we couldn't ever recommend it to anyone else. read more

Cute hidden gem in Irvine~ Roosevelt coffee is located in a business plaza off of Jeffery. Parking can be tricky if there is a yoga class in the studio next door. Interior is small with some bar and table seatings. Quite a few people were studying in the store when we came. I got a cappuccino and my Bf got the caramel apple latte. I was a little bummed since the only milk alternative besides whole milk was oat milk. The cappuccino itself was good quality with milk foam on top. My BFs latte was not overly sweet and got good amount of apple and caramel flavor. Overall solid coffee shop with good service and cute vibes. The barista who took my order, Sydney, was an absolute sweetheart, and greeted me with a smile. I also had the blueberry scone, which was nice, though it had more of a bready texture rather than the traditional buttery, flaky layers you'd expect from a scone. By far one of my favorite coffee shops in Irvine. First of all, this place is pretty big and is perfect for studying/working. There is free wifi and outlets in areas (sadly no outlets for the booths, and it requires at least 2 people to take the booths). This place can get busy so I would just head there early to secure a good spot. The coffee has always been consistent. My wife loves their cappuccino and I love their seasonal items, especially the matcha yuzu spritzer. Also, the restrooms are really clean. I don't think coffee shops get better than this. read more

I LOVE ROOSEVELT. It is hands-down one of my favorite coffee shops to do homework, catch up with friends, or sit alone and read a book with some headphones in. The vibes are so nice here, sometimes the noise level can get a little high but the staff here are so friendly even at 8am in the morning and even at the ends of their shifts in the early evening. I always order a simple iced Americano here and the flavors are bold and makes my mornings so much easier to deal with. The booths at the end were all taken up when we got here around 1pm but they cleared out quickly so we got to sit in one! Outlets are scarce though. Price: I paid 8.35 for a *small* one shot latte for a mocha with oat milk without tip. A total of $10 bucks for one small coffee sounds like a rip off. I visited so many good coffee shops where you can have a good large coffee drink for a reasonable price. I'd go again as it is closest to where I live but I'd say go if you are sitting there for some time and don't mind spending a lil extra.
