The place was no different than it was when we dined there a year ago. The fried sides were soggy and salty. The biscuits were little dry bricks that had obviously spent a lot of time under a heat lamp. The chicken was an hour or two old, dry and had undoubtedly been fried in day old or dirty grease. It was dark. And I mean, you could taste the burnt oil dark. The mashed potatoes were hours old, as was the Mac and cheese. The greens were canned slop with loads of salt. Glad the owners save a buck by hiring young, unskilled staff at the expense of the customer. My advice- save yourself the money and stop in to pick up a few sauces (hell, they're super generic and available with a google search, make them yourself) and grab fried chicken from any grocery store deli. read more

Their chicken is so delicious! I have absolutely loved everything that I have gotten from this restaurant. The staff is super friendly and the environment is really cute and fun. The only problem I would have with this place is that it sometimes takes a long time for them to fill orders. Especially if you order online for pick-up. I love this place! I like that you can order online and speed up the to-go orders that way. Friendly, accommodating and fun. Sometimes, though, they get too many orders going and their grease cools down. When that happens, the chicken is not top-notch. Sometimes, though... it's heavenly. One of the best fried chicken places I've ever had! They are not heavily breaded and perfectly spiced. Sides were pretty darn good and the ice cream we decided to stuff in there afterward was great too. This is a pretty cute joint as well. No one at the table liked the kettle fries but the chicken and Mac and cheese were good if in town again and we wanted fried chicken we would return . I ate here several times last year - during a time I was "trying" to be good with my diet. ;) I had several crispy chicken salads that were pretty darn good! We ate here to "try it out" being from the South I was looking forward to some home cooked fried chicken, boy were we disappointed. Just tried the Roost with my husband straight off the plane from Chicago. I was blown away by the Alabama Sandwich. Rotisserie chicken with homemade coleslaw, pickles with a horseradish white sauce and toasted bun. From my first bite I was in love despite the mess I made. The fries were also delicious. My husband had the fried chicken and loved it! He says d he didn't think I'd finish the sandwich but I did leave a crumb. Definitely coming back! read more

The main thing I get here is the spun chicken with fries and broccoli. It's always tender and well-seasoned, the broccoli is cooked just right. I really love eating there for lunch, but be warned: it is extremely busy from noon-1:30 and rightfully so. The thing I get the most excited about: the ice cream. The manager Ryan was full of charm & class. The restaurant was just like "home" and the food! Goodness gracious the FOOD! A horrible experience at a spot my son recommended waiting in line to place an order took 25 minutes-not because there wasn't seating but the gentleman who was taking orders either didn't know how to use the pos system or was on some mind altering substance. Finally getting to the head of the line the gentleman (who I believe was one of the owners) said he had to check on his crew in the kitchen We finally , after 35 minutes, put in an order for two salads-two touches- the gentleman stated this was a difficult order to place and took almost ten minutes to complete He gave us number 17 and we waited and waited Finally after an hour wait we asked him about the status of our order He said there was no 17 even though I paid for it I asked how long it would take for the two salads and he said one hour He then offered to give us back our money I said okay and waited another 15 minutes when I went to ask for the $$ he short changed me from another ticket #50 I reminded him that I gave him $50 and showed him the change he gave me So to simplify this transaction I said I'll give you the change and he could give me back a $50 This was way to complicated for him but finally got it done He "gave me two quarters for as he said a "tip" . Holy crap. Who would've thought in Boz-Angeles that you'd find AMAZING Nashville Hot Chicken!? We were in Bozeman for 3 days and we ate here twice. It was totally worth it. From the fried chicken to the gooey macaroni and cheese, to the FREE candy you can't go wrong. (I assume the candy was for the potential trick or treaters but I definitely grabbed some too!) SO GOOD! The first night we dined in. Perfectly chill experience, but the next night, we ordered online and ate in bed at our hotel room. Now, THAT'S what you call a vacation.
