What a piece of work! This company charged my wife and I DOUBLE what it costs for a hydro-jetting of our sewer line at $1500!!! And that's after giving us a "discount". What a joke! They "guaranteed" it for 1 year. Then they did a camera inspection the next day, found an issue with an old p-trap, and retracted their promise. Did I mention their hydro-jet caused about 6-in of feces to fill up my bathtubs and shower? Who has two thumbs and had to clean it up? THIS GUY!!! If that's not enough, I lost the ability to use my sewer again after 2 days and had to bug them over and over again just to get an estimate for the repairs. They "graciously" offered to apply the $1500 toward the $12,000.00 repair estimate. Again, twice the cost from another reputable service company that I ended up hiring. These guys were the opposite of my "hero." They were more like an enemy. I would never recommend this company to anyone after this experience. The attitude we received from the supervisor was not called for either and they're a bunch of up-sellers and fast-talkers. Do they think I'm made of $$$? I guess so. Avoid this company at all costs if you like your pocketbook and want to have money to eat. Very disappointing experience. My appointment was rescheduled from the previous day, and then the time window was changed multiple times again the next day. In total, the appointment window changed 4 different times. I stayed home for two days waiting because I was repeatedly told someone was coming. The final appointment window was 12 PM-2 PM, but they still did not arrive during that time. By then it was already Saturday, and I had wasted most of my day waiting and couldn't make other plans or schedule another plumber. **READ** We did business with Rooter, and our experience was exactly as described in other reviews. Our tenants reported water backing up into the toilet and shower. Rudy came out to our house and told us the main line was backing up and that he noticed black sludge, which is not a good sign. The next step was to hydro-jet from the roof to try to clear whatever was stuck in the main line. After that, they ran a camera through the pipes to inspect their condition, which they said was poor. He then suggested replacing the main line, as well as the lines leading to the restrooms and laundry. I do agree that at some point we needed to replace our 1950s cast iron plumbing, so we decided to move forward. Jesus, the salesperson for Rooter, then took over and explained the work being done at the property. However, there was a hole made in our first restroom that was not communicated to us beforehand, as they needed access to the connecting pipes. Keep in mind, these restrooms had been newly renovated just a few years prior. When I initially spoke with Rudy, he only mentioned digging in the backyard. Again, I understand why interior access was needed, but the issue is the lack of transparency. Jesus made it seem like, "We'll dig here, fix this pipe, break this and that, and don't worry--if we need to replace the tile, it will be taken care of." Everything seemed fine until he mentioned someone named Larry, who would be inspecting the work. He made it seem like Larry was part of their company, which he is not. I later found out that Larry is from Quick Restore. He called me saying he would remove drywall to test for asbestos and water damage and that he needed to send his crew to install fans. He also mentioned that he would submit his report along with the plumbing report to our insurance. This is where things started to feel questionable. His company has poor reviews. When I asked Larry how much his services would cost, he couldn't give me a clear answer. He said he would provide the numbers later, while already planning to send his crew out the next morning. I told him, "No, you're not." We ended up submitting the claim to our insurance ourselves and handled it directly. My concern is that Larry does not work for free. If insurance doesn't cover the costs, who is he going to bill? It's not going to be Jesus or Rooter. In the end, Jesus told me that if insurance didn't cover anything, it would be a loss on Larry--but based on his company's reviews, that seems unlikely. I did go to the property and spoke with the subcontractors. They were very professional, kind, and did the work correctly. I just wanted to ensure there was no additional damage that we would be responsible for. Overall, the work itself was done properly, but the communication and transparency throughout the process were lacking. Unfortunately, we were out of state and had tenants, so the issues had to be addressed quickly. If you have the chance to get quotes from other companies, do it. That's my two cents. read more

Avoid this company. We called them for the kitchen that was slow down to check what is going on and possibly snake it down. They came about 2 hours after we made the call. Rudy Gonzales came and didn't look like he wanted to work and do anything. He saw that the water is flowing/draining. He tried to put the snake down, without any effort to resolve anything, used small batery operated tool that looked like a toy and spent max 3-4 minutes to inform us that we will need a hydro jet because the snake can't remove the buildup. The service that he recommended was over $1000!!! And he clogged the sink!! It was just fine but would slow down every couple of days and since we got their coupon in the mail $54 for sample cleaning we decided to call them, BUT they just messed it up. After he left I called them 3 times and every time was different person so I needed to explain the situation over and over. They didn't do anything about that, and while on the phone I was receiving text messages if we wanted to proceed and schedule the hydro jet. What a shame! We found another company and when they came with very long and powerful snake, unclogged the drain and laughed that Rooter Hero was recommending the hydro jet. We requested the refund. Its been a 6 days since we had the service and we still didn't receive the refund of $54 that we paid to him to clog the drain Ha! Zero stars for this company. We called Rooter Hero to clear a clogged shower drain. Similar story to some of the other reviews, they "couldn't clear it", but for $1,400 they could come out with the power flush and get it done. Everything was looking good, but then they somehow went through a pipe with the snake. Now we have dirt coming up in our shower and bath tub, and we're showing in the guest bathroom. They offered to tear out our bathroom floor (tile, concrete, dirt, etc) and fix the pipe for $5,000. We of course would have to replace the tile on our own. The cost quoted was suposedly a $2,000 discount. This has been a terrible experience, and we do not feel this company has taken any resposibility for the damage they created. read more

Please do not contract with this service. They overcharge and then do not deliver what was promised. No matter how many times you call to get help from a manager or supervisor to resolve the issue, you get the same song and dance. A manager will contact you, the matter has been escalated and marked urgent but they do not call and CS is unable to connect you directly to a manager. Expect to end up in litigation if you want resolution. Service is way overpriced and way under delivered. Buyer beware. Update: If you look at Rooter Hero's response they seem to care and want to help, but call the number, straight to voice mail, no response. As we said before, buyer beware. 2nd update: given a second number actually put me in contact with one of the same CS people we soke with earlier today, same song and dance as all the other multiple calls. A manager isn't available but will contact you asap to assist you. After a week of multiple calls and email requests for a manager to assist with what should be a simple matter, no manager, not help, no resolution. One more time - buyer beware. I'm completely satisfied!! I had a service entrance that was poorly installed during the construction of a house I own some 20 years ago. It was our of plumb and square and always bugged me. My next door neighbor unfortunately had his break and create a nice hole and mud puddle and caused an unplanned outage so I decided to do a preventative maintenance event and fix it before mine broke! Called around and although time was not of the essence Rooter Hero responded quickly (which if I was my neighbor would have been VERY important!). Matt Nussman was the technician and he drove buy called me (I was at the gym) and gave me a honest quote. I gave him permission to proceed and actually passed him as he went to get parts. The initial install used odd duck parts so he needed a couple of items. He got what he needed and went beyond the call and got me plumb square and SOLID. I don't have to worry about that item especially as this is a rental that my sons family is occupying. NICE work Matt and friendly as one could be. Again super fair price and I have been in construction for years but to be honest I suck at soldering pipe especially copper that has been in service and is other wise wet. Had a shower that was not providing warm water. A competing business wanted to replace the valve behind the wall and charge 1500. Rooters plumber arrived same day and gave a further inspection. They advised that the valve assembly could be replaced without the trouble of ripping into the wall and for half the price. Repairs done same day. After the plumber left I tried the shower and discovered the water was still cold. I contacted their team and they were apologetic and immediately willing to schedule a follow up appointment. The following morning I realized that the shower valve controls were flipped, water ran perfectly, and it was user error on my part. I wanted to share my mistake because some companies will immediately dismiss your claim, but rooter did the right thing and was responsive. Will use their business again in the future. read more

Terrible Company- Phoenix Rooter Hero I'm being charged for sewer pipe work that wasn't done. They made 2 appointments with me to bring their camera out and run it down the pipe to prove that the work was done. They didn't show up for either appointment and are not returning my calls. My bathroom vanity and medicine cabinet mirrored door was broken and they are refusing to pay for it. Instead, I was told that If I didn't drop the issues they were going to add more charges to my $23,000 bill. They aren't giving me my 10% senior discount. I was told that it's in my bill but it's nowhere on my invoice. I never felt so bullied and now ignored. I have called their client care departments in Phoenix and California at least 3 times a week for the last 6 weeks and nobody will call me back and now the # in California says it's no longer in service. I'm now going to file a complaint with the Arizona Registrar of Contractors. read more

The representative was dispatched and arrived promptly. The rep snaked from the roof for about ten minutes or so and stated he could not clear the clog and called a supervisor to assess the problem. When the supervisor arrived, they again went to the roof and took a video. The supervisor stated they would need to come back and dig to find the main line and do a clean out and wrote up an estimate of $5K, but they would kindly apply $350 charge from that day towards the service.
