I requested service at my home for an annual drain cleaning. I told Ruby I had a coupon for a $54 drain cleaning. She told me I needed to present the coupon at the time of service. The appointment was scheduled for Friday, November 24, with a window of 9-11 am. When no one showed up or no call was received by 11:30, I called and spoke to Alec who told me that many of the techs were finishing up emergency calls from Thanksgiving Day. He told me he would let me know if anyone would be able to get to my home; he told me he would call me back to let me know the situation. I was still waiting for his call at 2:30 so I once again called. He informed me that techs were still busy in the field and it was highly unlikely anyone would be able to come to my home and that I should reschedule. He told me the week of Nov 27th -Dec. 1st was open. I rescheduled for Monday, November 27th with an arrival window of 1 - 3. When I returned from an appt, I asked my husband if all was done, and he told me no one had come nor had called. Once again I found myself on the phone talking to a woman who told me she couldn't do anything for me since she was just Customer Service. Really????!!! I explained the situation and she told me she would get my message to the manager and he would call me back. No call was ever returned by the manager. Tuesday morning I decided to call Rooter Solutions to once again find out what the problem was and was told that the call had been scheduled for Tuesday instead of Monday and was not sure why that happened. Regardless, the window of arrival for Tuesday was 1-3 once again. When Ryan, the tech came to clean the drain, he informed me that they would not honor the coupon since we had used this promotion last year and the year before, and that the cost would be $189. I told him I was never informed when making this appointment about this exception to coupon use nor was there anything printed within the coupon that made a statement to that effect. I also pointed out that without the coupon, the cost should only be $89, as stated on the coupon itself. After speaking with another manager, who then claimed to be only a dispatcher, I was given the quote of $129 for a drain clean. This company needs to be more efficient in keeping records and when printing and sending out coupons in the mailers. They have lost my business! And I would warn anyone using Rooter Solutions to check and double check pricing since, it appears their pricing is suspect and not fully transparent. Thank you Rooter Solutions for wasting my time. For years, and since California/San Diego went to "toilet to tap" with the public water supply; I have 'saved' portions of my modest retirement checks to improve my health situation with a whole house water filtration system. Economically it was feasible to purchase and install rather than rent with a service. However to my surprise/shock it was extremely difficult to just get the unit installed without ridicule, attempts at 'up-selling' other products, offers to 'purchase' a different 'system', ....to outright "decline the job/work" outright. After I contacted five Plumbing Companies with these varied responses, ROOTER SOLUTIONS San Diego coordinator Mr. Christian arrived at my home at the 'first' contact, assessed the "job"; promised an estimate by day end; submitted a bid; and after I responded with "agreement", Mr Christian text me the next day and asked if we could get started tomorrow morning with my guy arriving at 9AM and estimating that the project/job might take several hours...(instead of two days, two men, and other products 'added' to the install). The 'service' and the efficiency of the job was incredible for me! And that wasn't the only thing...my 'supply Company' who sold me the whole house water filtration system' unintentionally 'errored' and delivered an up-graded tank that wasn't 'compatible' and had to be returned to them and my ROOTER SOLUTIONS had to 'stop' and return to my residence 9 days later to complete the install and the whole operation was seamless. Two guys returned to my residence, set up the regeneration clock, flushing the new system, and made some modest modifications with great care and respect of my house. For me, I give a 'ten' out 'ten' for the whole experience with ROOTER SOLUTIONS in San Diego ...if anyone else opt to hire a first class team. Thank you. read more

Pedro L. arrived from Rooter Solutions within the time frame agreed upon. He called before arriving, was there when expected and was prepared for work under these Covid conditions: mask, distance and booties over shoes. After determining the problem and difficulty, removing initial blockage contents, he told us that he was going to call his supervisor to bring camera/other gear in order to see what was causing impediment. Isaias, the supervisor for the San Diego area, arrived within the 10 minute time given, and, after using the camera, gave us the information needed. The drain had been cleared, however the camera, smaller in diameter than a quarter, was not able to go beyond the juncture of the ABS pipeline and old cast iron main line. We have lived in the house since 1957, which was built in 1951, and the original cast iron is 69 years old, beyond the usual lifetime of those old pipes. Isaiah showed us many jobs on video that entailed what we will probably have to have done at some point since the pipe line opening is now down to a very narrow diameter at that important connection to the main line. We know we're in for a big job(s) at some point, not made any easier with having a slab foundation! We are very happy with their work ethic, their consideration and communication, with the time taken to explain what's going on, probable repairs and costs, and will use them for our future plumbing problems. COSTUMER BEWARE ! ! I call this company because my shower and toilets were backing up . I must of call 3- company's . Rooter Solutions agree to come that day at 1 p.m. Well 1 p.m. rolls around no one showed up. So I call the company wondering why I didn't get a call the receptions said they had more urgent calls I ask well why didn't she call me. I too had a urgent situation since I couldn't use my toilets. After that call 2-company trucks showed up. Because I'm a women they tried to up sell me to Hydro Rooting the main line for $4,000. Of course told them I don't have that kind of money they suggested I get a loan on my house .....I told one of the managers let me think about it .....I just wanted them to leave they didn't they came back to my door and had another suggestion that the company has a program to finance the job again I told them I would think about it and closed my door. Began to call other companies and found a wonderful man who came to my rescue with the needed tools and unclogged my main line for $80 dollars . Rooter Solutions should not be in business this company is sham-less in these time when many are out of work and money is tight for everyone. I had a Rooter Solutions to clean a toilet stoppage. The representative, Pedro, has arrived exactly on time and opened up the stoppage in minutes while being very considerate by caring mask and covers for his boots. Then I asked if he could perform the jetting cleaning of the whole home drain system and storm drains. He scheduled the work for Monday and, again, Pedro has arrived just on time, and all my drains were thoroughly cleaned. Rooter Solutions saved my day! Last weekend I was faced with a clogged sink. I gave it my best shot and found myself covered in water and crud from the garbage disposal. Finding out we needed to replace all our pipes was certainly a shock. However I must say all the guys did a great job even found a way to leave us with one toilet and one shower during the week long process. All the guys were so courteous and understanding. I met Ernesto at Home Depot in Oxnard trying to figure out what my buddy had told me to get. He told me he'd come by and look at the problem and see what it would run to fix it.
